Great Project Management software for remote jobs

Easy and user-friendly project management program.

You can easily set your project and invite your clients or teammates.

I was not satisfied with the basecamp's work and cancelled the support. I have requested a refund of the money they requested. I have been waiting 6 months for restitution. They continuously say they will submit my refund. I am unable to get support. The customer service is horrible. I suggest not using their service

I am using basecamp 4.7.5 and I am really starting to hate basecamp. The database seems to get corrupted often and I lose data. I do regular backups (almost every time I make a set of changes). Recently I started Basecamp and it said the List file was corrupted (again). I restored a previous Backup and found that was also corrupted and so had to go back to the backup before then. So I lost all the data from my last trip. Sigh!

While a small part of me leans towards a rating of 4 instead of 5, due to it lacking the same level of polish as its predecessors #1 or #2, the overall experience remains exceptional. Basecamp offers a range of fantastic tools that prove useful for staying organized and accomplishing tasks efficiently.

In a few years there was not a lot of changes in the product but marketing was getting better every year.

I was waiting to provide more updates inside product instead of only driving more customers to it.

Generally simple in usage but with all the alternatives is a bit dated software.

I’ve been using Basecamp since version 1 and I always loved it. Sure, there are some features that I’m missing sometimes. But every time I try out other project management software, I am overloaded by dozens of features I don’t need. So I guess it’s nicer to miss one or two big features than having way too many.

The biggest advantage over their competition is the communication with your clients. No other software has this nailed down quite as Basecamp.

Comparing Basecamp to its competition, for me, is like comparing Mac OS to Windows. One feels like it’s designed by an actual designer who has the end user in mind, the other feels like you had some engineers hack together every possible feature and later on get a few designers put everything together, without them talking to each other.

There is only one thing that bites me every month: the price. Sure it’s worth it, but I know that it was less expensive in the beginning. And that bothers me, because as I said I’ve been using Basecamp since version 1, but at some point I had to create a new account and so I lost the lower price. That makes me sad every month.

The most I love about Basecamp is that you can set up custom access settings for clients making it one of the most valuable project management tools for agencies out there. However, It lacks some essential features that other commonly known PM tools have, i.e. statuses for tasks or task lists.

Best app for project management. Very customer friendly. They even let you export your data if your trial expires. The UI is simply amazing. Our team had a great experience using it.

Affordable and reliable. Agree with the direction of the company and products.

We manage over 1,200 clients and 40 employees using Basecamp. It does exactly what it needs us to do. We're big fans!

Great user experience. Very clean and makes organizing projects very easy. Only wish there were templates for best practices for setting up projects

I've always loved Basecamp and have used it for a variety of projects and for personal use as well. It's simple enough to wrap your head around but still has the features you need to get stuff done. It's by far my favorite project & management and team communication tool out there.

Additionally, they have a great email app, Hey, which has worked wonders in terms of literally saving me hours a week.

Their books It Doesn't Have To Be Crazy At Work and Rework are some of my favorites, and their Rework podcast is one of my favorites as well.

Their customer support is some of the best I've seen, often getting back in two or three minutes. Plus, their pricing is extremely fair, and on the low end for all the features provided. I love the fixed pricing model vs per user.

All things considered, I highly recommend Basecamp.

Thought the marketing was better than the product itself, seems it hasn't changed much over the years, getting left behind now.

It is a very simple project management tool that does a lot things decently, just not great. It can do a checklist, but not recurring to-dos. Attached files get embedded so they take up a ton of space. The design of the interface is visually appealing but not the best user experience. The search doesn't do a great job. The folder and document management system is very simplistic. The clientside emails have problems with nested threads and no signature.

It is great if you're looking for something simple or work with a lot of contractors that can be added to on a per-project basis.

It could be so much better if they'd listen to their users more. I would have switched away a long time ago if it wouldn't be such a nightmare to move project management platforms.

Basecamp is a fantastic tool. I was disappointed when they discontinued their free and tiered versions few years ago. But now, with this update, small businesses can thrive.
On Nov 2019 they launched Basecamp Personal, which I find suitable for my needs

I used basecamp for many years, really professional tool with lack of flexibility and its been main problem for me.

I've been a fan of their apps, and their books like 'Rework', since about 2006

I use Basecamp for managing projects, my clients like the fact that we can collaborate without problems with lost emails and file upload restrictions.

I like it because i have a reliable way of documenting projects, ensuring that clients have a consistent experience for each project and the fact that i can create a new project from a pre-done template.

The webiste has never let me down and I often use the app when on the move. In theory it's not just for web designers either, anyone managing projects could use it.
