My name was public disclosed by BBB…

My name was public disclosed by BBB without my consent. I have never received any email verification from BBB. Several of my company staff names were falsified published without consent. BBB is known for Privacy violation, falsified statements, and data breach, without obtaining authorization. They charge companies for verification to scam their money. They only publish bad reviews.

Delaware BBB's Director is Incredibly Rude

The level of shady business practices, irresponsible and unprofessional bedside manners, and the full dismissal of consumer concerns by this BBB is astounding.

I spoke with Tammy Jeandell, a Director at this BBB, in May 2024 regarding a complaint. I have extensive business with the bank, Chase, all which can have individual issues and some of which have resulted in separate BBB cases. I explained that I have never received a response from Chase regarding the specific concern in my case, and Chase has never provided a response on the same through the case, as she can clearly see. Because of this, she agreed to have the case changed to “Unanswered” or “Unresolved” in May 2024. At the time, she said this status change may encourage a response from Chase.

I then see almost 10 months later, when looking up the business as I still did not receive a response, that the BBB quietly changed my complaint to “Answered”. The BBB supposedly sent an email in September 2024 letting me know this, but it was never received (this may be an issue with Gmail or the BBB, but I’ve never had issues receiving an email). This BBB changed the status based on a continued empty response from the business stating that they responded to me, which they never did, and continuing not to provide proof that they responded (as it doesn’t exist. Apparently, proof doesn't matter and will never be requested from their business partners as the BBB will take the business' empty word above anything else).

When I spoke with Tammy today, she answered the phone hostilely saying she was short staffed. I said I could wait for a callback, but she wanted to move forward with my issue. It then became clear that her and her team blindly sided with the business and could care less that I never received a response. She miscategorized my complaint and refused to change it, then refused to explain how the business answered my concern. I then asked to speak with her manager, and she said her manager will be gone on medical leave for months... I said I would wait, and she said she refused to raise my complaint to her manager without explaining why and hung up.

The BBB is supposed to be neutral. There is nothing neutral about an office protecting businesses blindly (of course, Chase, with a large amount of complaints, *surprisingly* has no negative case statuses against it. I’m aware that these businesses fund the BBB but I didn’t know that the BBB could be so corrupt to protect their funding partners while blaming consumers). These complaints affect consumers, not the BBB staff, and it shows. Tammy waiving off my concern, refusing to forward to her manager, and proving that her BBB has no standards tells you everything you need to know.

The BBB’s National Structure Actively Suppresses Consumer Complaints

This review applies to both the BBB Mid-South and the IABBB—because they operate as a single, coordinated system. I filed seven formal complaints against FedEx, detailing ongoing delivery failures, false statements, and a complete lack of resolution. Instead of investigating or enforcing accountability, the BBB helped suppress the record.

On February 18, 2025, the IABBB instructed BBB Mid-South to merge all of my past and future complaints into a single open file. They confirmed that even fully documented complaints would not be treated as new, would be hidden from public view, and would not be marked “Unresolved”—even if the issue was never addressed. BBB Mid-South complied. Valid, ongoing issues were buried.

The BBB also confirmed in writing that unless a complaint includes a tracking number, the business is not required to read it. This policy conveniently filters out countless unresolved delivery issues, even when the company is at fault.

Worse, the IABBB admitted that a business only needs to submit a response—not a truthful one, not a complete one—for a case to be closed. There is no requirement that the business address the complaint’s actual content, nor any follow-up to ensure resolution.

Throughout this process, the BBB and IABBB repeatedly cited “policy” as justification for their actions—yet refused to provide that policy in writing, even after multiple requests. Meanwhile, the only published complaint-handling policies and “Standards for Trust” on their own websites directly contradict how my case was handled. This confirms the policies are being selectively enforced—or ignored altogether.

This is not a fluke—it’s institutional. Every regional BBB must follow IABBB directives. Consumers in any state can have their complaints silenced, and companies can avoid accountability with one vague reply.

This system doesn't just harm consumers. It harms small and medium businesses that pay for accreditation in good faith. When the BBB protects large corporations that fail customers, it damages the credibility of every business associated with the BBB’s brand. Accreditation becomes a liability—not a symbol of trust.

The BBB promotes itself as a nonprofit—but its actions prioritize reputation management over consumer protection. If you’ve experienced similar misconduct, file your complaint with the FTC, your state Attorney General, and your state’s consumer protection agency. The BBB may ignore you—but those agencies won’t. If enough people speak up, this system of suppression will be exposed.

BBB not holding companies to actually provide the solution offered

Recently I've had issues with a construction company that BBB has rated as a A+ company. My review is valid and I've had to post a number of problems along the last years time when dealing with that company. The only way they'd reply it even acknowledge me is when I reported on their site.

Each time, I heard more lies and blamed everything on others, never taking the blame when it was the only reasonable explanation. They have a list of excuses they use that can be sent I other posts from other people who encounters the same issues.

Each time the posts are marked resolved but due to how they have it set up, I couldn't add anything to my original post if reply with a follow up after they did not follow through with what they said. Those posts need to open for rebuttals and not restricted to a one time thing with only 1 additional time to add to the case.

There should be an automatic rating system that needs to be implemented. After the company offers their solution, BBB needs to email users with a questionnaire that outlined the users overall satisfaction with the outcome. This is the most important part of the entire BBB experience and it's not even any part of their concern. I would think that any company that offers a solution but then ignores that person needs to be known and recorded as a lie. They offer little real reviews now.

Marking my post as solved after they did nothing but ignore me and when I return to let BBB know they give me 2 choices, accept the offer and close it resolved it deny the offer. Well what happens when they refuse to even talk directly to me? I call to make sure they're sending me the check they promised and never reply back. They purposely wait until my post is at the last few days before they send an apology and say they'll pay up now. Even though I know I've been trying to get them to acknowledge me for 2 months and doubt they'll follow through, I only have a day before BBB will close that case. Giving me the 2 options

When I contact BBB through my email asking about this option if picking between agreeing or not and what other options I have since I agree but don't want the case closed until I receive payment. They failed to reply in any way. I sent another email asking again why my post was closed as solved when the company did nothing and still ignored my messages. I was told to return to the site but found nothing that I could do. I've tried numerous times to reopen the case or at least be able to add that they did not resolve the matter and have ignored me for 3 months and not replied back to 4 phone calls always saying the people I need to talk to are not available and never return a y messages I leave, ive texted several different people within the company and never get any replies. I've personally emailed the regional manager and text him several times and have not seen any replies or phone calls. But the BBB stands behind these terrible companies that admit fault and then don't follow through with their offers.

It's like I'm wasting my time and I'm providing a false rating of those companies when I post there. Each time it looks like I'm happy with the results but I rarely ever see anything done through posting on BBB.

I know Trust Pilot will not remove my post or mark is as resolved until I say so. I can return and update my post at any time but I can't change the rating (that's the one thing that needs to be changed here) I should be able to give a better or worse score as time progresses.

Better Business bureau and Verizon make a good team for businesses who commit FRAUD!

I reported to them about Verizon. They never gave me service, yet they charged me. The BBB referred to a flunky manager with Verizon. This guy called me after 6:30PM pretending to help me. He called 3 times, and did not help me. I tried to contact BBB to tell them Verizon refuses to help me. BBB is near impossible to talk to someone, so I left a message with my phone number to call me. They never called. I continued to get a bill from Verizon which reached a total of $530.52 for a service I never received. Today I received an E-Mail from Verizon that says

JustAnswer - not to be trusted

JustAnswer told me that I need to pay R15 for them to answer my question. Then I got an email that took R781 from my credit card as well. When I call them out on the ChatBot my initial messages disappeared.

I want them reported for exploiting pensioners by scamming them out of their money.

0 stars. Dwell Management is ridiculous and yet BBB says there were only 6 complaints in the past 3 years, yet the BBB admits that they won't show complaints if there were a lot of complaints (like, what?) or if the complaints don't match "their" guidelines. Investigation found BBB favoured those businesses who paid the BBB, therefore the BBB cannot be trusted.

The BBB is a total worthless scam

The BBB is a total worthless scam. They are supposed to be the goals standard for basic consumer protection but they don’t do anything more that make money off of businesses. No wonder Google reviews is the top. If I were the bbb.org I’d be ashamed of how not help they really are.

REVIEW S/B ZERO

REVIEW S/B ZERO

This is in reference to a made up version of the better business bureau being run by a fake nonprofit that claimed not once but twice that their organization could not work in a case I filed. The most recent being Jan 28, 2025 - complaint #22852078. The same woman is the one responding and getting nothing done. This person took a case I submitted years ago in 2021 and closed it with no review claiming it was duplicate when it was not then when I filed a complaint against them, she reopened only to let it sit for months and never responded to me with a solution back when she and their so called Vice President were operating out of Boca Rotan, FL. This is the same two people. The woman refers to herself as Linda Compton who among others in this network that they built for themselves using grant money obtained from the Veteran's Administration or as part of the MS SBA program fake companies that do nothing but pretend that they are part of the main BBB organization that over the years added these entities under the original umbrella (a former enforcement branch of the US government agencies) and that are just people doing the low hanging fruit types of jobs taken from the federal programs and that pay themselves salaries while accomplishing nothing. This woman sent me a denial of services and she can't or won't take the time to properly spell my name correctly when messaging me; my last name is spelled Jones-James with both Js capitalized. It matters because this verified for me the type of people that I am and have been dealing with in the state of MS - those that see themselves at a higher level than they are an that cheat the system using government funds then failing to produce a quality product or to solve something and only doubled back under the fear of being dropped by the real BBB because as I became aware of years back that if you add yourself under these established small or larger businesses offering services to assist in conflict or complaint solutions and achieve nothing they eventually will get rid of that company - this was shared during my own training and by a former coworker who ran into some people playing that same game with her. So here is where we are today Feb 5, 2025; this new version of her and his made up nonprofit version here in MS is part of that same network of fired or laid off workers from years back that fake self-incorporated and hung around both government and veteran administration offices trying to gain jobs or roles and used those accesses to get grant monies but are using them NOT to improve anything that has to do with the U.S. Government Services but to pay off their own debts and to block me from getting this issue addressed that stemmed from yet another set of either veterans or family members who committed fraud to get these so called delivery, driver, hauler, and sorter roles hidden in the U.S. Postal service in MS, TN, AL, TX, NC, SC, AR, LA, and GA. They sent me this coined refusal to assist when the Postal Service staffing group nor that paper printing company (Jackson Paper Co. and JSU Arts & Science/Printing Technology Course) along with several others are considered government entities. The truth of the matter is that not even the Postal Service is a government entity because if they were they wouldn't be a .com nor would they be allowed to STRIKE so that on the surface as their reason for addressing this issue is false. This woman never read or wanted to address any of my issues because they are part of this illegal program and entity that was setup towards the end of 2009 at the onset of the recession right before that last major hurricane hit in mid summer 2010. This organization needs shut down and removed from under the umbrella of the Better Business Bureau.

BBB.com is a SCAM

BBB.com is a SCAM. The positive ratings they give frequently have a bad average, if you read the reviews and compare numbers. They may show many bad ratings but they give the business a high rating. They use some goofy AI software that makes up numbers to please the paying companies.

What a horrible company. Please stay away.
I told them so many times that I don't want to pay $400/year just for their stinking badge, but they had so many agents call me. Finally, I agreed, but today their badge wouldn't even load and slowed down my website. And I was wondering why I missed so many leads because of them.

You decide if Las Vegas BBB will be fair to your report - be neutral!

Had did a BBB complaint on Key Property Mgmt of Las Vegas early Jan 2025 as this owner doesn't have great leadership was directed to him if any issues from property owner, who cowardly couldn't take the responsibility but gave it to another coward who ghosted me since the legal action from 2022 that they acted like they didn't exist when found out it was their fault as well as the HOA, First Service Residential, but no one in this world seems to admit it maturely but to blame it on a veteran to pay everything out of pocket for them as they're both not knowing how to be responsible adults. This case was about excessive noise pollution of family from overseas who moved here 2023 and I moved here since 2011. How messed up is the picture when I tried to complain about their little vicious kids who vandalized my home twice then overwhelmed me of their nuisance disruptive living as this is a quiet community, per HOA security. The closing of the case from LV BBB on Key Property Mgmt (Rep is Terry C) was unfair as he got his last word to me which was a lie to me and this wasn't resolved till he contacts the property owner himself as I told him she will not respond to me at all, even if she went through the LA fire. I've dealt with this BBB from the past up to now even who covered this case is a bit rude to me but I know God looks over these people and I believe what goes around comes around for those who wrong people.
