BDA Indemnity
''supporting our members now and forever'' is their advert

I have been a member for 30 years, have had some issues with indemnity recently after trying to change. BDA indemnity were unable to help despite quoting prior to my renewal.

Very disappointing

I can not praise high enough the service provided by Mr Michael Fenton.

I cannot recommend the BDA highly enough. In particular, I have received really excellent, extremely prompt advice over the last few months on a variety of different issues from Joanne Whistler regarding my contract and various other somewhat complex issues. I would have been quite stuck without this support and guidance - thank you Joanne for all your help.

Like others I think the BDA is invaluable for their help and advice, but for me the library service is the most underrated benefit of membership! Amazing collection of both physical books/journals and ebooks. They post items really promptly and for free so you only have to pay for return shipping. The topic packs are also great for keeping upto date with whichever area interests you.

The staff are so helpful and friendly. I recently recommended a book that had just been released by the publisher, a day later the library had ordered it and the following day it was sent to me in the post!! Now that's service!

Most dentists think they have the indemnity cover that BDA Indemnity offers with their current mutual providers. When you unpick the terms & conditions, in reality, there is not the surety of assistance when it is needed & it is more expensive. BDA Indemnity addresses all the deficiencies of Mutual Societies & for a lower cost. I would urge all dentists to look at their current indemnity provision; cost is not the main driver but peace of mind.

I transferred to BDA indemnity last year. The move went well and I have had no issues. I enjoy all the added extras provided which has helped me through a challenging time.

This is a ‘gold standard ‘ comprehensive policy and has every attribute anyone could ask for in an indemnity product. It has the added benefit of all the resources of the BDA. Also excellent value for money . A real ‘ no brainier’ .

Just switched over to BDA Indemnity, and full credit to BDA for creating such a unique Indemnity cover for U.K. dentists. I have been with Dental Protection since I qualified, and so glad to have the opportunity to join BDA Indemnity for its contractual and occurrence based cover.

I had an amazingly helpful experience with the BDA one to one advice. I was given very supportive advice, had letters checked and drafted in resolving a workplace issue.
Those who aren't BDA members should consider the widespread assistance provided by the BDA from learning, networking, practice support and contractual advice. I would definitely recommend that it is worth being a member. On a side personal note, Jacinta McKiernan from the Practice Management Team is absolutely amazing- if you need advice, she's the person!
