If online banking is your go to, look elsewhere

I have always banked with credit unions and had a great experience with the Kelowna Bernard branch of interior Savings before it shifted into "Beem". Since they took over I have found and continue to find my self disappointed mainly with the app interface and the inability to log in seamlessly since the beginning. This for a person that is tech savvy is annoying but I think often of the many less tech inclined members that this would likely take a larger toll on. I recommend banking elsewhere if online/mobile banking is a priority.

This is easily the worst bank ever in…

This is easily the worst bank ever in history, stay away from these guys. You would be much better off even with one of the completely online banks like Tangerine or PC. Basic things like being able to pay a bill online or through a bank machine have been impossible since day one of me being with this Bank. The only reason I ever joined is my employer check was drawn from there. Repeated calls to get the problem resolved go unanswered over months. Absolutely ridiculous.

Waiting a month for TFSA to be transferred to another bank.

Didn't sign up for all the merging and changing. Horrific website. Looks like a 5th grade designed it, and I don't mean to offend 5th graders. Very unprofessional. Also, I am moving back to RBC and have been waiting a month, A MONTH, for BEEM to transfer my TFSA over to RBC. In this digital age, that is unacceptable. Upon calling BEEM and speaking with an agent and asking why my TFSA has still not been transferred, she said they have no record of the request. Meanwhile I am losing interest daily. Stay far away from BEEM. I had no complaints until they merged and changed everything. Now it's just horrible. I joined because I wanted a small and more personal bank, what I got is the total opposite.

BEEM is awful

BEEM is awful. Stay away. I was depositing a large cheque today to a shared account with my elderly mother. It took them a whole day to figure out how the cheque could be deposited because of Power of Attorney aspects. Very pathetic. Very unprofessional and incompetent.

Outstanding service

Everytime I walk into my Branch, they welcome me by name and a smile! The service is top notch, always being helpful & accommodating. Thank you Lansdowne staff!

Its lucky there isnt a zero cause BEEM would easily qualify. Trying to get a hold of someone by phone is a minimum hour wait once it was just short of 2 hours. Then when you finally reach a person they are less than helpful saying they will call back which never happens. I am a 35 year member of another credit union that was aquired by Beem II have never in all those years been treated so poorly. 3 weeks now still no access to my account and no sign of resolution. I feel I get better service from big bank

Horrible you can't log in almost ever…

Horrible you can't log in almost ever and you need to call just to get the ability to log in. They ruined a perfectly good credit union along the way it's awful, do not join there is better options. I am disabled and need food but can't check my bank balance, would give zero stars if I could constant mental breakdowns over this company.

Appalling credit union.

The experience with Beem Credit Union has been appalling. The IT is so shocking and glitchy you’re forced to constantly call agents, each one of which is less helpful and knowledgable than the next. It’s as though they’re incentivised to try and charge you exhorbitant fees for what would be, with any other bank or credit union, a basic activity you can complete for free online.

And if you arrange an appointment to have one of those basic changes / updates made to your account, which is their preference, you’re highly unlikely to receive the call and if you do, expect to be disappointed with the ☕️ support.

You can’t even set up a recipient to another Canadian account on your own, and when calling in to do so the agents try to trick you into doing a $50 wire transfer free - from a Canadian account to another Canadian account. It’s disgraceful. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

The online banking and app are…

The online banking and app are horrible. Not organized, stupid to navigate. If you have linked accounts, you need to log into each separate account to do some of the banking. The old Interior Savings online banking was so much more streamlined.

Customer 'service' is a joke. If you try to contact via the webpage 'contact' button, you will be ignored. Tried three times. Only way I finally got an email response was by going into the branch and letting them know NOBODY was bothering to respond.

I finally got a response. A worthless one that did not address my issues, as I am pretty sure they did not even read them, followed by rationalization and a whole bunch of catch-phrase manager speak about 'we are listening' (they aren't), and how great their platform is (it isn't).

NOTHING AT ALL about my concerns. NOTHING. Totally disrespectful.

I am transferring all accounts out of Beem ASAP. They have shown they simply don't care about their customers or their concerns.

Look elsewhere for your banking. Beem will only disappoint.
