I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the conduct of one of your representatives during an unsolicited marketing call I received today.

**Nature of the complaint**

During the call, in an attempt to provide context for my situation, I shared sensitive personal information with Sebastian. His response was to laugh.

When I asked to be transferred to his manager, he refused to do so, instead repeatedly demanding to know why I wished to escalate. After I declined to share my reason and asked again to be passed on, he stated it was "not possible" to transfer me to a manager. I ended the call. Subsequent attempts to call back were unsuccessful.

This conduct is unacceptable on multiple counts:

1. Laughing at a customer who has just disclosed sensitive personal information is a fundamental breach of professional conduct and basic human decency.
2. Refusing a customer's explicit, repeated request to escalate to a manager is a breach of standard call-handling protocol.
3. Demanding a reason as a precondition to escalation is improper — the request itself is the trigger.

**What I expect from you**

1. A written acknowledgement of this complaint within 5 working days.
2. A formal investigation, including review of the call recording (which I trust is retained per standard practice).
3. A written apology from Sebastian and from a senior manager.
4. Written confirmation of the disciplinary or remedial action taken.
5. Confirmation that my number has been removed from all marketing and contact lists held by Best Book Writers and any affiliated entities, and that I will receive no further calls.

I expect a substantive response within 10 working days. If I do not receive one, I will escalate to the Information Commissioner's Office and to Trustpilot, where I will document this experience publicly.

Writing my children's book was easy, but the idea of getting it published was daunting. Until Best Book Writers came to my rescue, this quality company was knowledgeable and caring. The creativity of the cover is beautiful, and the illustrations are charming.
Emma, my project manager, is the heart and soul of publishing my book. To me, she is the best of the best. Every question was answered, and every concern was handled. LETS GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE!

When my lawyer suggested to me that he give his trust account information to collect the past-due credit I’ve been asking from BestBookWriters.Com for months— I happily agreed.

So, now- I’m thrilled to give them credit for their follow-through on issuing my $500 return credit. Of course, there’s still no excuse for them not offering me other options for payment 5 months ago— but hey— this review is to highlight the good news not to repeat the negative.

So, here it is… an almost happy ending.
At least, it’s over. I learned a lot— the hard way.

This is a fraudulent company. I believe the 5-star reviews below are written by the crooks from Best Book Writers. My first clue was when I got my receipt and it said Amazons Publishing (notice the final "s"). I tried to google them and can find nothing. However, when I asked them about it, they sent me a link which brought up, what I believe to be, a fake website. They touted books that they published. I looked up every one and not a single one was published by them. They give a 100% refund guarantee, which is a lie. After discovering all these fraudulent things about them, I asked for a refund of my $500 and have had promises, but nothing. I
knew they wouldn't produce the refund and I was correct. Please beware. I won't stop here.

I purchased the editing package, and they did a great job. I had no clue they would charge me over $600 for copyright. They called and called until I agreed on the marketing package (no hidden fees). I spent $2268, then surprise, they needed $1295, then another surprise $971. I then agreed on a $600 promotional video. In total I spent $6,104. They stopped answering my emails and never finished the video. Every single book sold was done by myself personally on Facebook. I didn’t sell a single book due to the marketing package. This began on 4/6/23. I’ve given them plenty of time to make it right. They promised me five free copies of my book. I never got them. They said they would give me two free additional months of promotion… I haven’t seen any. They call you just enough to string you along. After they get what they want from you, they allow you to keep just enough hope alive, until you finally just give up.

I am happy to say: Adam and I came to an agreement on the defects and also correcting errors in my book. Also Best Book Writers will be sending more books because of the defect on the cover. I thought it was fair and decent.
Now I can move on to the next book which I believe will be a number one book.
I can't say enough about Emma.
I agree with her getting back to you right away and helping you understand the process.
Emma is a very bright lightbulb in a sometimes dim world.

This team of publishers was awesome. They did redos until the illustrations were just right. Emma was always there for me encouraging and kind even at weird hours of the day. They made Sonny the Cat come alive. So appreciate their hard work and attention to detail. Go Team!

They have brought me from having no idea how this effort of writing a book and publishing it that Emma and Adam communicated with me when it was needed. I am currently waiting to get my books sent to me so I
can distribute them to local people and start using social media to enhance marketing of it.

Best Book Writers performed exceptionally well on my book writing project. They transformed my ideas into a captivating and entertaining story that I am truly pleased with.

I am completely satisfied with the quality of the book that BestBookWriters put together for me and my family. I hired them to design, edit, and print the two-part memoir that Mom and I co-wrote. Both parts included several pictures, most of them in color. They did a nice job of integrating the visuals in the text; in other words, the design is exactly what I wanted. Be prepared to do your part. We worked together to produce a 207-page book that I know Mom would love. Mom did get to see the beautiful cover, and she contributed to the final touches just a few days before she passed. To get the final editing accomplished and the book printed and delivered before the family Christmas celebration was a challenge, but they did it. Adam, Emma, and their team knew how very important the book was for my family, and they expedited the process. They truly cared. You can trust them to do a fine job on your project for a reasonable cost.

On behalf of my mother, I signed up for the printing of her small book. We haven't received the books yet but I guess they are on the way. I feel like because we didn't spend more money for editing that we were not important. Communication is not good at all. Snippy and short. I have had to check the status and then be told that printing is on hold for this reason or that reason. I don't know... maybe this is normal. Hope to get the books soon. Haven't got a reply on the ETA.
