Appalling experience with very costly customer outcome

Appalling experience with very costly customer outcome. Please avoid this company - short cuts are taken on the servicing front, customer service is deplorable and negative customer outcomes are viewed as acceptable.

My summarised version of events is as follows (excuse short hand) - car went in mid Feb (in warranty) with multiple dash warnings. Bexley had car for the week and claimed to have resolved (also pressuring me to pick up before the next saturday for risk of it being damaged on their forecourt! despite me saying i can only do saturday pick ups/drop offs). Picked car up a week later, start engine and faults immediately reappear - Bexley claimed they had test driven and confirmed no faults (how that is possible is beyond my capability of understanding).

So, car was due to go back about 3 weeks later in early March (due to personal commitments i couldn't do any sooner). however, in the mean time the faults become worse such that one day while we were out of London (in Lincolnshire) the engine fails to start and does not respond to anything.

Therefore, the car needed to be towed away as a result. I was not there to witness it going onto the trailer but took a detailed video around the car shortly before it went, so as to ensure i could prove any potential damage done to the car in the process. This was a two and a half minute video where i stated the time/date and pointed out any existing imperfections on the vehicle.

Pick up from Bexley Audi 2 weeks later (after they have actually resolved this issue and test driven to confirm - what should have happened in the first place) to find deep scratches all over the car. The individual whom i complained to on site at the time i saw the scratches had the audacity to claim it that scratches could have been done from me and that i had taken to opportunity to try get Audi to fix them (!). Yes, that is exactly the moment i had been waiting for - to breakdown in the middle of nowhere and then blame Audi for various scratches around the vehicle (!? sarcasm...)

After a long drawn out investigation, Bexley Audi claiming no wrongdoing and neither is their subcontractor pick up company. 'Nothing else they can do'. This leaves me with >£1000 of paintwork damage following an incredibly painful chain of events from faults that should have been resolved in the first place.

Avoid servicing, purchasing or any other commercial interaction with this business and frankly the wider Marshall Group. It is clear from this experience that they do not consider customer loyalty, positive outcomes or indeed lifetime value as critical to their business.

My complaint now goes higher up in the Audi chain, but this is absolutely my last Audi purchase and any interaction with this highly unprofessional outfit.

My car went in for a windscreen washer repair

My car went in for a windscreen washer spray issue and is in warranty. When I arrived they said there was a change of £150 just to check the vehicle. Even though I have stated there’s only an issue with the wind screen washer jet. They then said that’s only to diagnose the issue and to fix the issue is more money.

So basically £150 con to check a car that has no issue to begin with only the one stated by the owner. Then even more to fix the issue that could have been done in the first place under warranty!!

Total con and will not be buying an Audi again especially from this branch. One OF THE WORST Audi branches. They need to have a deeper look into why there are so many bad reviews from this place.

Audi A3 E-Tron went in for MOT

Audi A3 E-Tron went in for MOT & service. Should have been available for collection that afternoon, but they failed to call, and eventually I called them. Bad start, it was 5 minutes before anyone answered the phone, and I was told I'd have to collect following day. No apologies then or when I collected the car (and a bill for £862). They just said they were very busy and understaffed.

If they can't cope they shouldn't accept bookings. Apologies aren't good enough.

Bought a car from them. 3days later end up in the service. Refusing to exchange the car like to like. Communication is really bad. Reported to The Motor Ombudsman.

Went on a Saturday to view a car I had seen online ,despite being extremely busy got seen very quickly, the salesman Bedul Cader went above and beyond to help us, we purchased the vehicle in the week, without having to return, on collection even though it was late and showroom emptying ,nothing was to much trouble and even received after sales calls to ensure everything was correct, would 100% recommend

AVOID - UNLESS YOU WANT MULTIPLE COSTLY VISITS FOR REPAIRS WITH OTHER SERIOUS FAULTS FREQUENTLY OCCURRING JUST HOURS AFTER LEAVING THE SITE AFTER THEY “FIX” A PRIOR FAULT. SOMETIMES THE NEW FAULT APPEARS WHEN YOU GO TO COLLECT THE CAR AND SIMPLY TURN ON THE IGNITION AS WAS THE CASE TODAY.

WHENEVER THEY “FIX” A FAULT - A NEW FAULT SEEMS TO APPEAR JUST HOURS LATER…

I have serious concerns regarding Tim Mears their Head of Business who I’ve found to be incredibly unprofessional, dishonest & disingenuous. I have serious concerns regarding his conduct, customer communication & general trustworthiness for which from me he gets a rating of zero.

I’ve also found him to be incredibly rude, ineffective and incompetent, repeatedly jumping to wrong conclusions and makes “final” decisions based on inaccurate and incomplete information provided by his equally inadequate, dishonest and dysfunctional service team.
Either his actions of deceiving are intentional or he must be incompetent.

Only when matters are referred to Tim Mears superiors (CEO Marshall Motor Group/Constellation Automotive Group or their ultimate owners TDR Capital) does he return with tail between his legs, apologising for the mistakes he and his team have made. As was the case earlier this year when I escalated concerns to Martin Casha (ex CEO Marshall Motor Group. Unfortunately, Martin has now retired. He has been replaced by Gary Savage and time will tell if Gary is equally as effective as Martin Casha.

Unless you want endless stress with one mechanical issue after another and being fobbed off with garbage, nonsense & lies - AVOID Bexley Audi!

Visit them for repairs/servicing at your peril!!

Extremely Disappointed with Audi Dealership Service – Never Again

I recently took my Audi A7 in for a simple oil change at an official Audi dealership, expecting a smooth and professional experience, especially considering the premium prices they charge for what’s supposed to be “top-tier” service. Unfortunately, the entire experience was incredibly disappointing from start to finish.
First, booking an appointment was a hassle in itself. I was told while booking, that certain things would be included in an inspection. Then on arrival, was told something different. Also, I was told I’d receive a call once the service was complete, that call never came. I had to follow up myself, only to find out my car had been sitting there ready for who knows how long. By that time, it was too late for me to pick up on the same day.
Then to make matters worse, when I picked up my vehicle, I immediately noticed an engine warning light on my dashboard. This wasn’t there before I brought it in. When I asked to speak with the manager about it, he dismissed my concern entirely, saying it wasn’t his problem and there was nothing he could do. I was shocked. That’s not the level of service anyone should expect, let alone from a brand like Audi.
I trusted this dealership because I wanted the job done right, and I paid extra for that peace of mind. Instead, I left with more problems than I came in with. Honestly, after this experience, I can’t recommend taking your car to an Audi dealership for service. You’re better off finding a trusted independent mechanic, at least they’ll treat you and your vehicle with respect.

The staff were extremely helpful and…

The staff were extremely helpful and informative The sales staff were never pushy and took both my wife and myself for a long test drive explaining all the functionality as we drove. If I could award more stars I would, as both Skye and Tim have gone out of their way even with their after sales assistance. Extremely professional. Other showrooms would probably not give you the time of day to assist after the sale.

Sold car as full service history when only part

I brought a car in March 2014. Sold as full service history.

I printed off my service log from Audi in Northampton recently and found that it’s missing two services

Clear act of misrepresentation and the worst kind. They knew it had part and sold as full service.

The amount of issues my car has had is a joke. How can a main Audi dealer act in such a way.

Exceptional Service

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing my next car at Bexley Audi and I couldn't be more impressed with the level of service we received from Bedul Cader. From the moment we walked in on Saturday and collecting the car two days later on Monday. The whole experience was flawless and stressfree. They are rip off merchants

I took out a PCP on a 2019 Q3, worked fine for 1 year and seemed like a pretty good deal. The salesman said that the car would be very sellable in the future and I could actually stand to get a sizeable chunk of my deposit back. This was a complete lie, the car depreciated massively and most of what I was paying was interest. This was not made clear to me.

I then took it for a service at 2 years in and was told it would need £1500 of repairs for "urgent work" that was in fact not urgent; this was confirmed by a member of their staff and the other garage that I took it to. Not sure what they are playing at, would not expect such a high-end place to mislead me like this, let alone sell me a car that needed so many "urgent repairs" after such a short space of time.

Luckily managed to get rid of it but was hard work, market is at rock bottom, would never get an Audi ever again. If you are thinking of using them they will fool you into thinking you are getting a good deal but you end up with an overpriced unreliable car full of issues that nobody wants when you want to get out!

Avoid at all costs.

My experience with Bexley Audi has been appalling. I got new Audi Q3 last year. One of the tyres keep getting punctured and it has been punctured four times by now. I believe they put crap tyre even in brand new Audi purchase.
I have tyre insurance but looks like scam as they not ready to replace the tyres saying it is replaceable only when its big puncture. It is a shame and they want me to pay £229.92 . Looks like some insurance scam going on.
Such a shame on the company so big but trying hard to save money on replacing the dodgy tyre on my car.
This will surely go to ombudsman.

Misled and lack of responses from Bexley Audi

Your used car price quoted is stated as 'Total on the Road Price' on the Vehicle Order Form. This means that road tax should be included. I was charged an additional £620 for my road tax before i could drive away. Make sure you have an agreement of the inclusion of 12 month road tax, in writing, before you buy.

- Ceramic finish : Has this actually been completed? I was not able to view my car as it was 'still with the valeter'. In the time that we were waiting, Richard McCarthy asked me to sign all my documents while we waited for that to be completed. Don't agree to signing the documents until you are 100% happy.

- Scratches : You may get told that it will T-Cut out ( i was by Richard ). You shouldn't accept that. It should have been polished out unless you are already aware and comfortable of it being part of the sale.

- You may get told that there is not a mark on the car inside or out ( i was ). Check that this is true ( it was not ).

- Extras. Ask for the extras to be paid for separately. As an example, for a £40,000 car with ceramic finish worth £409. Ask to be charged £39,591 for the car and £409 in a separate transaction for the ceramic finish. Pay for the £409 with a credit card which means if they have not added the finish as agreed, you can make a claim for it under section 75

Worthwhile taking someone with you to do the checks for you before you finally sign off. You will be buzzing for your new car and more likely just to accept the car as it is, take someone who only cares about checking the car for you.

Very difficult to get a response from this company once they have your money.
