I once loved this app! I listen mostly. But true impassioned people have been replaced by the Heartless, soulless "God Bot" 👾. At least take the time to proof listen to what your God Bot is belching out! The most lucrative industry in the world at least takes the time to Deepfake! At least take the time to make it sound real!! Remember your trying to reach real people! Are they worth the effort to you??

I love this app, its been a real blessing since my walk has been renewed. I have trouble reading hard copy books in this tech age, and the app has bridged that gap for me - especially making it easy to find specific books, verses, and comparing translations.
I went to trustpilot to research before I made a donation and was astounded by the negative review comments. I've been using the app for 7 months everyday and I find the criticisms unfounded - I have not seen pop-ups, gotten spam or unsolicited messaging. While there is an invitation to donate, it is static and not at all inappropriate.
There are also critiques of devotionals for various reasons, and to this my reaction is that I truly appreciate the tools offered related to the Bible, and while I use the devotionals they are not touted as Gospel. It is upon us to be discerning. Christians are all the body of Christ but we have varying levels of theological background and likely different church affiliations, so if we dont agree on commentary take that as a learning opportunity and stick to the gospel for the final word.

Maar de luister versie van bijvoorbeeld een leesplan is uitgevoerd door middel van AI. Dat is io zich niet erg maar doe dan wel een eindcontrole alvorens het de mensen bereikt. Zodat het ook helemaal klopt. Bijbelvers nummers uitspreken alsof het ineens een tijdsaanduiding is, getuigt niet van veel kwaliteit en doet afbreuk aan de Bijbel, hetgeen is Gods Woord: Heilig en Waarachtig. Liever hoor ik een echt persoon die de overdenkingen uitspreekt met intonatie.

Some of us don’t even have extra $10 every month and asking us for $25 every month to spread the word of God is not welcoming. It turn off new born again and sinner’s alike. Let people donate if they feel like.

I like the ability to highlight and take notes on verses. I don't like to highlight my physical bible so if I'm reading in that and find a verse that I want to highlight or write a note on, I just open up the youversion app and make my notes there.

I do agree with others who've mentioned some questionable teachings for some of the bible plans. This is a great place to get into scripture regularly, but not a great place to learn sound doctrine. For example, I just read in one of the devotions today that Jesus spoke in parables because "there's power in a story". That is completely unscriptural and Jesus himself states why he spoke in parables. I don't know if the people who write these don't actually know scripture, or if they are misusing it for the sake of making a point in their devotion. But someone should be proof reading these to make sure that they are not teaching lies.

I have a few Bibles. Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic, whatever you like. I am a Bible scholar. I happen to have many of them. I hate spam. In just a few months, my firewall blocked 4,000 spams. " freely you have received, now, freely give". I don't like people that try to FORCIBLY charge money for the word of God. Every time that happens, I understand more what Jesus did when he overturned the money changers tables.

Can you explain 3,896 spams? I don't think you can. You are fired.

I will buy a good Bible when I see one. This isn't it. I hope we understand each other now.

I’ve noticed that within the Plans, some Bible verses are repeated. For example, the devotional and verses for Day 1 and Day 15 were the same. This is a bit disappointing, as there are hundreds of verses throughout Scripture that could be used to convey the message for that specific plan.

I love the app, daily verses and plans. It helps me to get my bible reading done. Most bible translations have an audio version as well. This app pairs greatly with Blue letter witch is more like a tool and less like a reminder.

Great App! Just needs an arrow, tap screen or continue button reminder to know how to get to the next page. Great job guys! This is such a blessing!!!🙏💕

I’ve tried many Bible apps—some were hard to swipe through, confusing to track progress, one even left out an entire book! Nearly impossible to get help.

YouVersion makes it simple to mark progress, highlight verses, and add notes. I follow the semiannual Chronological Bible Reading Plan, reading the entire Bible every six months.

I agree with others - why do they keep adding functionality/complexity to the youversion app? Seems like every week, something new to deal with pops up. It's getting so cluttered, I'm starting to consider other bible apps.

I am very disappointed in this YouVersion bible app. I’ve been using them for almost 7 years. Recently I had a personal situation come up where another user has been harassing me by putting up a dark evil image as his profile picture and then his profile name has a curse word in it mocking my profile name. I contacted them a week ago to let them know, I “reported the user”. Nothing has happened yet except I got a response that was very cold and invalidating. YouVersion: “we do not discuss other accounts or any action we do or do not take.” I would hope they would have checked the account first and if they did and this is their response? It’s unethical of them. I checked and it’s still up.

I used to love the simplicity of having the Bible app tailored to my needs like the different versions, audio choice and a plan here and there. What has happened in the last couple of years is it has become so cluttered with plans, the UI is confusing, I dont know where I’m going if I tap somewhere and the random people talking is just confusing and takes me away from what I came to the YouVersion Bible for THE BIBLE. I understand the Bible has to reach people where they’re at but no amount of talking, blogging or discussion will be useful if the app is not designed to ACCESS the Bible quickly and navigate it easily always directing you to God’s Word. It’s all just NOISE and we all know that noise is confusion and confusion does NOT come from God.

It's so easy to get the Bible verses and to be inspired, besides I wasn't sure which one is the easiest to read

I have enjoyed YouVersion for many years… until recently. Since when is the unadulterated Word of God not sufficient to speak truth alone? Why has YouVersion started adding bracketed description “enhancers” to daily Bible verses? These additional phrases pollute the pure meaning of God’s Word, make it impossible to remember the verse throughout the day and negate the work of the Holy Spirit in illuminating the verse to the human heart. PLEASE STOP ADDING THESE UNNECESSARY AND DISTRACTING BRACKETED ENHANCERS!!!!

i used to love this app untill ZECHARIAH the vocie changed to not being able to say chapter 1 or 14 they need to change it back
