We have bought Restaurant Grade lumpwood charcoal from big K for a number of years and it has always been excellent.

Instant lighting charcoal used to be the best on the market - I’ve been buying it for several years. This year however it is absolutely awful. They have changed the accelerant used on these bags. It’s smells different, that was the first thing I noticed and then swiftly followed by the bag not lighting at all. We’ve had to relight several times to try and get one bag to burn and even then it’s such a job. These used to light like a dream and burn for hours. I’m assuming it has been changed relating to cost factors. But I would rather have paid more for the old version! Time to find another brand

I purchased 2 bags of 15kg Dura Restaurant Grade Lumpwood Charcoal (ACH15) directly from the website. They arrived quickly. The quality is superb - good size and no dust. I recommend.

Excellent ordering and delivery process, only time will tell if I am satisfied with the charcoal once I open the bag.

(Repeat) ordering on the website is easy and the courier they work with is great (APC). When I’ve ordered through the Bezos shop the couriers sling it around too much resulting in break up.
Product is consistently high quality producing intense and long lasting burn. High quality and will continue to buy from them.

I had been using the small bags of BBQ coals where you just light the bag for some time, last year I was hosting a BBQ for friends, and the only charcoal I could get hold of locally was some Big K chilla-grilla in a 12kg bag... at first it seemed expensive, but as soon as I started using it, I knew I had found a far superior fuel source for my outdoor cooking experiences. whilst the time to be cooking ready is slightly longer, there is less smell and smoke, the heat is so intense and actual cooking time is greatly extended too, so i don't have to try and rush to get everything cooked. I'm now on my 5th delivery - I order direct from Big K, pricing is good, member discounts come round often, and delivery is swift too! my overall BBQ experience is enhanced by having the best heat source. I'm happy, and my friends who join me for my BBQs are also happy

Good quality and delivery but beware of offers. Ordered 7@15K boxes Flama Restaurant Charcoal approx. total £210. Two offers on the day, 5% with membership and 10% with promo code. Joined but no membership email at the time so no 5% discount. Ordered but nowhere to insert promo code, Got to payment page and paid. NO DISCOUNT, no 5% and no 10%. Feel cheated of £21

I receive an excellent product delivered promptly by a courteous driver.

This company and their products are my only go to place for products and service. Their products are all FSC compliant and their sustainability covers partners and suppliers.

Cant say anything negative, clear communication, delivery was great and continuous communication about when it would be delivered. Not opened the bags but I can feel nice bits lumps and little noise from shaking the bags indicating minimal little bits and dust.

I have used this company for years. I have tried several of their products. The binchotan, the briquettes, the restaurant grade charcoal the woodies. They have a product for everything bbq wise. I cannot fault the quality and performance of their products. The website is easy to use and items are delivered quickly. Would definitely recommend.
