Working with Big Red Jelly has been a…

Working with Big Red Jelly has been a game-changer. What really stands out about this team is their ability to take complex ideas and turn them into a clear, professional digital presence.

The team is incredibly proactive—they didn't just wait for my instructions; they brought fresh ideas to the table that I hadn't even considered. Their workflow is streamlined, and they are masters at making the branding and web design process feel exciting rather than overwhelming.

If you want a team that is fast, responsive, and produces high-quality work, I highly recommend Big Red Jelly. They truly live up to the hype!

They marked contracted work complete in their own system when it had not been done. Then proposed charging again for it.

$16,610. A website rebuild and eight-month SEO programme. Contractual objective confirmed in writing before signing: a high-converting lead-generation tool with a strong SEO foundation.

The site launched looking professional. Independent technical investigation months later revealed every commercial page had been built with all meaningful content hidden from search engines from day one. The contact form — the only revenue mechanism — replaced without consent on launch day and broken for four months. Mobile performance 60/100 at delivery against an industry standard of 90+. Zero structured data despite being explicitly contracted.

Throughout the Grow Plan: friendly, responsive, and consistently non-committal. Deliverables not arriving were deferred or questioned as out of scope — for work named in the signed contract. What made this undetectable in real time: BRJ's own system showed deliverables marked complete throughout the engagement. Independent audit later showed multiple completions were false.

Heading tag optimisation: marked complete — errors found sitewide

301 redirect audit: marked complete — duplicates and junk entries found throughout

Google Business Profile: named Month 1 deliverable — never actioned across eight months

Schema: explicitly contracted — questioned by their own team as possibly out of scope in Month 7

When formal evidence was submitted, BRJ proposed continuing the retainer at $995 per month to complete the outstanding contracted work. Every item in that proposal was in the original contract. That proposal was their written admission that eight months of billing had not delivered what was contracted.

When a refund was requested instead, their formal written response offered three positions. The most direct:

BRJ claimed: "The Scope of Work for this engagement was fully executed."
Their own Blueprint lists the same deliverables as outstanding in April 2026 that were marked complete across months one through eight. Both documents are BRJ's. Both cannot be true.

BRJ claimed custom requests had displaced deliverables. Their own contract requires written Change Orders for any scope change. Not one was issued across thirteen months. Under their own terms this defence is invalid.

BRJ claimed services were time-based and not contingent on results. The complaint was never about results. Google Business Profile setup is a task. A functional contact form is a task. A time-based model does not permit billing for named tasks without performing them.

Not one specific failure was acknowledged. Not one item of evidence addressed.

I have since spent over 250 hours independently completing contracted work. At BRJ's own stated rate that exceeds $38,000 in remediation value — against $16,610 paid.

If you are considering this agency: verify every deliverable independently rather than relying on status updates. Ask before signing what accountability looks like when contracted work is not delivered. The answer to that question matters more than anything in the sales process.

Best choice for Branding + Website

Big Red Jelly is an incredible partner for a new startup launch. They began with the Brand phase and perfectly captured the identity and vision that needed to be portrayed. The team then built a powerful, well-designed website that carried the branding seamlessly throughout every detail. Now in the Grow plan, their continued support with marketing, SEO, and ads management keeps momentum strong. A talented, creative, and reliable team from start to finish — highly recommended for any business looking to build and grow the right way.

Outstanding in Every Regard

Outstanding in every regard. The pricing, on boarding, work product, and in result were all at or above expectations, and below cost. They perform, do what they say they're going to do, and do it very very well.

One thing that Big Red Jelly does…

One thing that Big Red Jelly does extremely well is aligning businesses with their target audience. With so much happening in marketing right now, it's easy for businesses to be caught up in "best practices" and forget what makes their business special. Big Red Jelly really helps highlight unique parts of the business and how that can be positioned for better results with target audiences.

Brand, build, grow isn't just a catch phrase. It's essential in todays marketing world as brand consistency and audience alignment are becoming more and more critical especially with AI. The systems and processes here are next level and will carry a huge load for all marketing strategies.

poor service and unauthorized charge

In July 2025, I began working with Kamren Nielsen at Big Red Jelly regarding digital marketing for my company, DOA Pest Service. Kamren assured me that their team handled SEO and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns successfully in-house.

I was initially hesitant to sign a contract because of prior negative experiences with agencies that failed to perform and then charged cancellation fees. Kamren repeatedly assured me that if I wasn’t satisfied, the company owners would have “no problem letting me out of the contract with no financial penalty.” Although this was not in writing, he emphasized it multiple times.

Timeline and Issues
• August 2025: I signed up for services at $1,995/month, with the clear understanding that we would have weekly meetings to review PPC and SEO progress.
• I was assigned Cassandra as my point of contact. She was polite but unable to answer specific questions regarding our PPC campaigns or SEO strategy.
• Despite repeated discussions, the team focused on producing minor marketing materials (e.g., a trifold brochure) instead of implementing or reporting on the SEO and PPC campaigns that were the main reason I engaged Big Red Jelly.

When I raised these concerns, Kamren told me that my goals could not be achieved at the current rate and insisted that I double my monthly payment to $3,995/month. He stated this would provide direct access to Spencer, the PPC specialist, and include weekly meetings and full SEO implementation. I reluctantly agreed to the increase based on those assurances.

The first week showed minor improvement — I met with Spencer once via Zoom and felt optimistic. However, the following weeks returned to the same pattern of missed meetings and vague updates.

When I requested an SEO report, I was promised one by September 27. After more than five weeks with the company, I finally received a document that:
• Contained outdated data (May–June)
• Included irrelevant information about Big Red Jelly’s own SEO, not DOA Pest Service
• Lacked keyword research, ranking reports, or any measurable metrics

By late September, our cost per lead had reached $486, far exceeding acceptable performance levels. Spencer repeatedly canceled meetings, and there was no progress on either SEO or PPC deliverables.

Cancellation and Unauthorized Charge
At that point, I informed Kamren that I wanted to cancel our agreement and move on. Shortly after, I received notice of an unauthorized $3,995 charge from Big Red Jelly labeled as an “offboarding fee.”
This charge directly contradicts the multiple verbal assurances from Kamren that I would be allowed to cancel at any time without penalty if unsatisfied.

Summary
Big Red Jelly misrepresented its services, failed to deliver on agreed-upon work, and charged an unauthorized fee upon cancellation. Their actions have cost my small business both time and money — resources that are critical for a growing company.
