Stay clear used to be an outstanding…

Stay clear used to be an outstanding company but over last few years standards have definitely dropped. Had a front composite door and windows installed. Countless problems from door handle not installed level, glass marked, sill caps missing. After the install I spoke to the office advised of the issues and asked they be rectified however they demanded full payment immediately after a lengthy discussion with Shaun Morgan he agreed that it was reasonable to hold £300 balance back until all issues were rectified. Fast forward 3 years and I’ve never managed to get them back. Over 30 emails numerous phone calls, loads of no shows. Complete shambles in aftercare. Clearly happy to loose £300 versus completing a job. Today I had another reputable company come out to attempt to fix the issues to discover the door frame has been installed incorrectly causing bowing to the frame so the door will no longer shut. So 3 years after install the door is redundant and needing replaced

Absolutely hopeless company

Absolutely hopeless company. Never again would I waste my hard earned money with Bison.
Customer service zero stars. Communication zero stars.
Punctuality zero stars.

Was told 6-8 weeks for some bifold doors and a sliding door. 17 weeks later they finally got fitted, with the wrong hardware and seals. Had to wait another 2 weeks for that to get fixed. Every time I called (around 25 times) to find out what was going on, I was told they would call me back, ‘he’s just stepped out into the factory floor, I’ll get him to call you back’. They never called me back once.
12 weeks later and numerous emails about certificates and warranties, I finally got the warranty but still no FENSA certificates to this day. The glass is covered in scratches on the interior and also on the middle pane of triple glazing. Still waiting for a response to both certificates and damaged glass. Currently this is week 35.

We bought our bi-fold doors from Bison…

We bought our bi-fold doors from Bison five years ago. Due to our joiner fitting them incorrectly we always struggled to get them to lock. After having them about two years the door handle broke and after getting in touch with bison they sent out a replacement the next day without any trouble. A few months ago the door handle started playing up again and we couldn’t open the doors, Bison sent out an engineer and recommended getting in touch with the joiner as they needed re-fitting, despite numerous calls he has never returned so my husband took out the glass and removed the locking mechanism. He went to Bison head office to see if he could buy a replacement, he could and not only were they happy to replace but they also sent out an engineer to fit the part on the same day. This is all 5 years after we bought the doors, way beyond the warranty period. Thank you Bison for showing us what good service looks like!

Worst customer service we’ve ever experienced

Would’ve given zero stars but 1 is the min allowed. The worst customer service we’ve ever experienced. Avoid at all costs. New front door was installed over 3yrs ago but it wouldn’t open when the sun shone on it. After 2yrs of complaining Bison finally agreed it needed to be replaced but then messed us around for another few more months. Eventually we ended up having to go to the small claims court to resolve. Bison had no defence, they were in breach of the Consumer Protection Act. They had intentionally left a family with children with an unsafe door, can you imagine if there’d been a fire? It still took them until the end of the 14th day of the court deadline to make the settlement. And Bison are now insisting that we return defective door to them after it’s been replaced. Why would they want it back, it doesn’t work? Beware you don’t buy our old defective door. Disgraceful way to run a business, they should be ashamed.
