I have previously rated my experience (3) and written detailed comments. Today I am asked again, and I am also told that I won't be asked again after today. We'll see.

I previously said that our blackout blind is perfect, just what we wanted and ordered. Demerits in my rating were due to sloppy communication from BTG - telling us when it will be ready, then it not being ready, then announcing a new date and calling us ahead of that date to say it is ready. Also, after receiving the product and being told at the time of ordering that self-installation is easy, I called to ask if any installation instructions might be available (were not included), and what was forwarded was lame (tiny images). So: some good news, some bad news.

They delivered as ordered

From the moment I walked in the store until my blinds were hung on the windows the service was wonderful. The staff were professional, friendly and pleased to answer any of my questions. The sales person helped me choose the blinds I wanted and the person who installed them did so on time, made sure they looked good and explained how to use the remote for my motorised blinds. I am very pleased.

Great experience at Blinds To Go – Davenport location in Toronto. The staff was knowledgeable, patient, and helped me choose the perfect blinds for my space without any pressure. The ordering process was smooth, and everything arrived on time as promised. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality and solid customer service.

I ordered both blinds and drapes in November, installed early December. The quality of the drapes is shockingly bad. They are too short, too bulky, and sewn badly. They are so poorly made they look like a bad home sewing project. And they were incredibly expensive. I have been trying to communicate with your company without any response as to how to resolve this. One missed call and a follow up email telling me they called. Nothing since. This is the worst customer service experience. I want my money back.

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They asked the right questions and very quickly identified the kinds of blinds we were considering, and gave us some quotes on the ones we seemed to be most interested in. They readily provided samples for us to take home to choose the colours, as well as a booklet in which we could record the measurements for our window. Because we had a somewhat oddly shaped frame, we chose to have a specialist from Blinds to Go come by to check our calculations. In addition, we had the finished blind installed by another specialist from Blinds to Go. Both specialists were very careful to keep us informed of their expected time of arrival; they were friendly, efficient and clearly knowledgeable. We did not mind paying extra so that we could feel confident about the size and installation! I should mention that we had originally used Blinds to Go at least 10 years earlier. We have been happy with the blind they installed, which is in a heavy-use room (a bathroom). As it happened, we needed a repair done on that blind just around the time we wanted the new installation in another part of the properly, and we were delighted that the repair was done for free, despite the fact that the purchase as done quite long ago.
