I had many conversations with John Kelly who connected with me right away while he was trying to get me to sign up. I received a written agreement with all of the same promises that everyone else here received - I was excited.
Now, I must give 5-star rating for the training that I received as part of my contract! I learned so much about hosting a tv show! I was thrilled to have such a wonderful opportunity but their promises were empty.
I tried to talk to John several times but did not receive a response and when my show was coming up for renewal, he finally connected with me but "had to take another call". I never heard from him again.
Not 1 item in the agreement was delivered by BBTV but I will say this: I didn't do this for BBTV, I did this for ME! I am STILL the Host of The Mindset Playground and on Sep 12/25 I will celebrate my 3rd anniversary as host to an amazing show.
I signed up with others as well after my 1-year contract was up with pretty much the same results!
If you really want to learn how to properly have a show of your own, you can start out with one of these companies but know that you will not see 1 dime from them (even if they promise you will) but if you do it for the right reason, promote it yourself and be consistent with your Brand - you will become an amazing Show Host!

🚨 BEWARE: Bold Brave TV (BBTV) Hijacked My Podcast, Withheld Revenue & Blocked Me — John Kelly & Eddie Dunne Are the Same Person

I signed with Bold Brave TV (BBTV) in April 2024 in what I thought was a joint venture. I paid $3,500 for backend podcast support, under the promise of marketing, distribution, and revenue sharing. I retained 100% creative ownership and copyright of my podcast:

The person I dealt with was John Kelly — though I later learned he also goes by the alias Eddie Dunne. This was never disclosed.

What went wrong? Practically everything.

BBTV failed to promote the show for over 7 months.

I was never paid a penny, despite being shown revenue reports.

John/Eddie migrated my RSS feed from Spreaker to Libsyn without telling me, and denied me backend access.

He refused to respond to emails, calls, or texts for weeks at a time — until I pushed hard to leave.

When I told him I was reclaiming control, he ghosted me entirely.

This week, I declined his unexpected phone call and replied with "Text only." His response?
He immediately blocked me.

Let that sink in: a company that owes me backend access, financial accounting, and contractual fulfillment is now blocking all contact — while still listed on Spotify and Apple as the publisher of my show.

Facts for other creators:

Yes, John Kelly and Eddie Dunne are the same person.

Yes, there are other public complaints from people who’ve had similar issues with BBTV.

No, I do not recommend you engage with them under any name.

I have filed a formal complaint with the BBB, submitted documentation to all major podcasting platforms, and am pursuing legal options.

This is more than a bad partnership — this is intellectual property suppression.

I paid for a one-year contract. I had fun creating the videos and feeling like I was heard. I had to wait nine weeks for the videos to be published after producing them. The service I received was excellent. The illusion of making a profit with it was quickly erased when I was told my commissions earned equalled $5 from the seven released episodes. Two weeks later, their business shut down for financial reasons. It closed as of June 30, 2025. I was able to get Libsyn to stop releasing my content by contacting their support department. They continue to earn commissions from YouTube views and commercials from my hard work in creating the episodes.

I was contacted and asked by John Kelly to produce a podcastwith their expertise in providing exposure. The night prior to the launch I was emailed and told there were technical issues. I have sent emails, left voicemail and no response. There was a call from there number which hung up when I answered. I believed these guys were legit and my investment was small. I certainly believe now I have been scammed. Honesty, integrity, truth not here... No communication! This is not OK!

BBTV is a scam! I am writing this to warn others before they get involved with Bold Brave TV. Eddie Dunne, who sometimes goes by the name John Kelly, initially contacted me regarding the opportunity to host a show on their network. The contract clearly stated that BBTV would be responsible for promoting and marketing my show, as well as securing sponsors for revenue generation. However, from the outset, I encountered issues with Eddie/John’s lack of professionalism and communication.

At one point, Eddie/John ignored my calls and messages for a period of seven months. Despite this, I independently found a sponsor for my show, but due to the lack of response from Eddie/John, I was unable to move forward with the sponsorship. I was informed there was no one else I could contact for assistance.

I have spoken with several other hosts associated with BBTV, and they all report similar experiences. None of the hosts have received any payment or sponsorship, including those who have been with the network for years. Furthermore, the lack of communication from the network has been a consistent complaint among all parties involved. Additionally, hosts have been asked to pay varying amounts as an "initial investment" with no clear or consistent explanation.

After numerous attempts to resolve the issue, I informed Eddie/John that I was requesting a refund and would be pursuing further action, including leaving formal complaints and consulting an attorney.

STAY AWAY!!!!! Ditto on previous review!!!! Lots of promises about regularly providing show analytics and finding sponsors to generate income. Nada! Found own sponsors and still couldn't get return calls from BBTV about setting up call with potential sponsor and BBTV. Also puzzled about use of an alias (Eddie Dunn/John Kelly); same phone number and voice; identical sales spiel and stories of woe; mishaps with which name would be on a contract.

Bold Brave promises revenue income on your show... and not one hot dime in returns.
For a communications company, they refuse to communicate with their show hosts.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
