Waste of time
Equired online, got a swift response with price saying if I wanted to go ahead to call. So I called and placed hire order almost 5 days ago. I asked when can I collect and they said 7am on the Monday I needed it from the Taunton branch, planned my day around this tool and booked holiday specifically to do this job. Got up early (and got my child up at 6.45am to get there for 7am) and the gent behind the counter said nearest one is Plymouth. There isn’t one here. So my entire days planning is ruined. I’m out 2 days holiday which for a lot of trades people is £250-£300 per day and I still can’t do the job I had aimed to, needless to say don’t use them ever, complete waste of time I won’t be using them again. I should state it’s not specifically about Taunton but surely someone at this business should have already arranged the item to be there. To add to this I am without the money I paid for 7 days realistically by the time they decide to refund.

Tried to hire a floor grinder recently
Tried to hire a floor grinder recently. I checked online for availability, then I called the store to double check. I got confirmation of availability for 28th march. So I ordered. The day before pickup I got a call saying that the grinder wasn't available. They didn't know when it was going to be available but I could rebook and see what happens closer to the time. I opted for a full refund and is take my chances elsewhere. When asking for the refund I was told it would take a couple of days for the refund to get back to my account. However after 2 weeks I called the branch to say I hadn't recieved it. The guy in the other end of the phone was guarded in responding to any question I asked about the refund. Eventually I got him to say he'd speak to his manager and he'd call me back by 3pm. He never did. I eventually got my refund but it took another day- just under 3 weeks. So no hire after paying up front and 3 weeks to get my money back...

A disappointing experience from start to finish!
I recently hired a Dehumidifier From Brandon hire Taunton branch. Machine was delivered faulty. Following phone calls to branch, Machine was eventually collected four days later. After their workshop had inspected the unit. I was informed by phone that I would receive a FULL refund. After about a week, the refund came through minus £24? I have no idea what this was for. To date I have not received any Contract, Invoice or email pertaining to this hire, despite asking for them several times. This is the first time I've used Brandon Hire and probably the last. A disappointing experience from start to finish. I'm sure this review will receive the standard inane, obsequious reply from Customer Services. However, it wont change the fact that Brandon Hire are failing to deliver on their own Customer charter, posted on their own website.
