Shocking to receive a £70 fine for being literally 3 minutes late back to my car in a supermarket car park

Popped in Charnwood arms for an hour....2 weeks later get a bill for £100 parking for not registering the car... car park was empty !!!

Not even 1 star. Get your machines working. How are elderly people without phones supposed to pay?

Attempted to park at the train station lot in Witham. Visiting from USA and had a rental. Checked all the kiosks in the area and all were out of order. Was in the lot for 13 minutes to figure out what to do and received a notice of 100 pound fine. Scammy!

Could I not score them less, they are unbelievable, the appeals process is a waste of time as they don’t care, bland responses and don’t listen to the explanations. They give someone 10 minutes to find a parking place walk to a pay station, read all the information make a decision, return to the car and leave. Wow beware 10 minutes and not a minute over.

These parking companies need to be independently controlled with independent appeals process and the parking charges need to be more realistic- better still close them down

I am a carer of a disabled person, we had parked using a disabled blue badge in a disabled bay. I had to take the disabled person I care for to an opticians appointment, pick medications up from the chemist and to do a food shop, I was within the time limit of the blue badge (3 hours) and was given a parking ticket, which I appealed. However, Britannia parking ltd never acknowledged my appeal which was sent to them the day I received the parking charge letter. I then had bailiffs turn up at my door with a debt collection letter claiming I now owed £170.00. I am disgusted in Britannia parking ltd! You have bullied and threatened a charge of £170.00 out of a disabled person and me the carer. Your attitude is vile as there seems to be no leeway towards anyone who appeals or challenges you. Your money grasping and threatening behaviour is outrageous! You’ve discriminated against a disabled person, I hope you’re happy with yourselves! Typical car parking rogues!!!!!! 🖕🏼

Thieving scum bags abusing their powers to steel from the public. It seems to me that they deliberately have ticket machines out of order so that they can impose penalty fines. It's about time the government did something about this.
It's a pity I have to leave a one star review. I would have left a minus 10! if I were able.

Absolute thieving scumbags. My fine arrived with only a week to appeal. Had a family meal at the pub. Cherry tree Newcastle under Lyme. When I entered the staff never mentioned the car park rules and the screen wasn’t in operation. Visited this pub many of times before never had this issue. Can only assume they have done this as the hospital is down the road and they’ve decided shaft the hospital workers that already get their pockets emptied by another corrupt car parking company. Scum isn’t harsh enough.

Warning £100 parking fine if the machine at The Little Harp in Clevedon North Somerset BS21 is not working. You will not know though as no notification given to confirm parking excepted or not!
After 2nd notice you will receive a Bailiff letter with extra of course .
Not worth calling the number in the parking notice it doesn't work again neither does the email get a confirmation or reply.
Worried for the mature customers. The staff will help but even they are not responded to!

APPALLING. THEY ARE OPERATING IN PUB CARPARKS WITH LESS OBVIOUS SIGNS ADVISING YOU REGISTER AT THE BAR YOUR REGISTRATION PLATE. WE VISITED A PUB TOLD THE WAITRESS WE HAD DRIVEN THERE BUT SHE DIDN'T REGISTER US AND WE DIDN'T SEE ANY SIGNS. CHALLENGED IT AND SHOWED EVIDENCE WE HAD EATEN THERE. GOT FINE REDUCED TO £20 BUT RELUCTANLTY PAID IT JUST BECAUSE TOO STRESSFUL. BEWARE WHEN PARKING LEGITIMATELY IN PUB CARPARKS AS CUSTOMERS!

Charged £60 to park at a pub!! Since when did pubs have controlled parking. It should be illegal to have a private parking company involved with a pub car park. Absolutely criminal.

Britannia Parking hide their human contact details and use extensive obfuscation on their website. Their goal is clear and single: to extract maximum money.

Truly awful. They use a payment app that constantly times out and therefore your payment is not accepted half the time. I would rather pay double than ever park again at a Britannia. What a scam

We parked at the Knutsford car park and have just received a parking fine - the photo evidence was fine but when we went to get
a ticket we could not enter our registration but the machine took the cash payment and issued a ticket
We displayed the ticket and parked for the allotted time, but because we threw the ticket away we now do not have any evidence to challenge the fine
Looking at the previous review we have decided to pay the fine because we do not want any further hassle

So make sure you save your tickets

What a shambles of a company

The location is close to town but the service is terrible. Worst place to parking. Their customer service is poor and they quick to issue parking fee. I parked here and over paid no way to be refunded because there is no reliable phone number.
The next time I parked there parking meter was down they charged me £60 fee. My advice don’t park there!

i paid for the car park by credit card, they are still chasing me for not displaying a parking ticket, this company is just desperate to make money illegitimately, shame, sort yourselves out

Stolen and scammed money off a single parent, pretty standard behaviour from them it seems

I am extremely disappointed with Britannia Parking’s unreasonable enforcement at London Waterloo car park. Despite paying for parking, I received a £100 fine for a 14-minute overstay (only 4 minutes beyond their 10-minute grace period).

What makes this worse is that I was collecting my 2-month-old son after surgery at Evelina London Children’s Hospital, along with my 7-year-old daughter. The discharge process took longer than expected, and securing my children in the car caused the slight delay. Britannia Parking showed zero compassion—even POPLA acknowledged my situation but said they couldn’t overturn it due to "contractual terms."

This company:
🔹 Issues excessive fines for minor overstays (£100 for 14 minutes).
🔹 Ignores genuine mitigating circumstances (medical emergencies, young children).
🔹 Hides behind "contractual terms" rather than applying common sense.

Avoid this predatory operator—they care more about profit than people. Shame on Britannia Parking for exploiting stressful situations.

Paid my fine after reading reviews on line indicating that this company is simply a bunch of scumbags dedicated to ripping people off. Interesting that a £60 fine cost me £68.69. Explain that please Britannia Parking. Parked in a pub car park in Braintree (Astronomer Pub) whilst on a stopover before going to Stansted Airport. Not a local so assumed a pub car park is a pub car park. Clearly not. Lesson learnt. Hopefully this company goes under very soon and the main protagonists struggle to find a role sweeping up outside McDonalds.
