This is the worst 5k event I have ever participated in and the previous bubble runs I had done were far better. They advertised it everywhere as "free" and I was fine with the initial fees for sign up of $25. The event was supposed to be in Richmond, VA, but they only informed us a few days before the event that it was in the middle of nowhere 45 minutes away. This also made it difficult to pick up the packets ahead of time and they charged us $5 each for picking up the same day. When we finally got to the location, there was a long line of cars all the way out in the main road and it took a long time to get to the parking lot. Then they charged us $20 for general parking which was not mentioned on the event email or website anywhere, and it was cash only. Luckily we had extra cash in our car, but we saw quite a few cars that had to turn around to drive to the closest atm a few miles away (or possibly just go home). Then from the parking lot it was a really long walk just to get to the registration for the event.
One of the few good things I can say was at least the lines weren't very long for picking up our packets, but it may have been because we were in a later starting wave and the crowds were pretty spread out from the parking situation.
The entire event and racetrack itself were entirely in grass, dirt, or dusty gravel, which was a horrible choice for a bubble run. The areas with the bubble machines were completely muddy, so I really only saw children go through the bubbles. Almost every adult decided to go around so we wouldn't get our shoes completely soaked and muddy. Every past bubble run Ive participated in had the bubbles on hard surfaces, so it was way more fun to play in the bubbles and still be able to use our shoes afterwards. The cones and tape that marked the layout of the race were extremely confusing in many sections and most people just cut through instead.
Despite all of these complaints, it still seemed like most people enjoyed themselves, especially big teams and those with children. But overall it just felt like a huge cash grab and the company was cutting every corner possible to maximize their profit. I would have given this event 0 stars if I could.

We only had fun because we made it fun for our family.
It is a money grab and I am extremely disappointed that I paid $24.95 for Fast Track Shipping & I didn't receive my packet. I had to drive 30 miles to pickup my packet the day before the event. If I waited until the day of the event, they were going to charge an additional $5 for each runners bib and $20 for parking-Cash Only! This made me very suspicious because why in the year of 2026 are you collecting cash with no way to track where this money is going? After the race, I sent an email requesting a refund of the $24.95 and I was told that they can't refund it because the packet was mailed 2 weeks before the event. It was possible that the packet was returned to sender or lost in the mail once it was handed over to USPS. After that email, I asked them what was included in the mailed packet and they told me that it was "exclusively your race bib." These are CROOKS! They charged $24.95 to mail a race bib and didn't include the t-shirt. I would have been okay with paying $5 in order to get the bib mailed, but $24.95 is an exorbitant amount for a race bib.

The idea is great, but the execution of the event was extremely disorganized, it wasn't a 5k, parking was a disaster, there were no professional photographers taking pictures (Bubble Run expects you to upload your personal pictures), and there were no scanners to track your race time.

Awful. Hours long line to pick up the packet “early” they lost one of our registrations so we paid twice for one team member. Turns out, you don’t need to pay at all because they just let anyone run. The bubbles/foam was basically non-existent. Two stations completely were not working, two were poorly half working and only one station had any notable amount of foam. I have videos and images of every station and they were all terrible. The DJ was really bad, she literally said the same four things over and over and over. The line to get to the venue was over an hour of waiting in traffic. And if you do pay (again I would not) definitely don’t pay more for early entry, first, you can’t get through traffic, and second, they let people run at any time they arrive. It’s all a scam.

The idea was fun, cost was reasonable, event itself was worst managed race my family has ever attended. Traffic was a nightmare. Took over an hour to get off the exit and no one to coordinate traffic. No start line even marked, was just an informal announcement to jump over the jersey barrier and start running. Spectators were invited to join so you really didn't have to pay for it. Bathrooms ran out of toilet paper by 10 am, had no water to wash hands by 9 am, and bubbles were most disappointing. A couple spots were okay but by the time some people made it through the traffic nightmare they created they stopped the bubbles all together and finally turned on a couple of all. Length was actually 2.8 miles. No bubbles at the end like the online ads show. Many bubble machines didn't even work well. My 5 year old niece was in tears because she sat through 2 hours of traffic to find a mostly bubbleless run. No one we talked to would ever go again.

I would never do this event ever again because my race started at 9 AM and I was inside the traffic for the parking since 7:30 AM and I left because of this irresponsibility of this race. Which they kept on changing where to park. Next time if you want to do an event schedule ahead of time and organize it more efficiently because based off one of my friends she had the same issue with you that included the turf. Which I hope you luck for the future to find people to register for this event because of the impact you had caused me and everyone else that was attending and I am extremely disappointed in your service.

I have never experienced such a failure in event planning for something that has ran SEVERAL years. 3 hours to pick up my registration packet and 2 hours just to get off 1 exit is the worst I have ever experienced.

Activ does not get a pass on this one. I hs e gone to several 3ks, 5ks, and 10ks which I gsvr ran into this logistical nightmare.

I will never do this event again. It’s not worth sitting lines for over 5 hours. Absolutely ridiculous

Very bad experience. The promotional videos are very well edited, because the reality was completely disappointing.

This event was extremely disorganized. They did not have enough staff for the number of people who attended. They would not even provide safety pins to attach race bibs, and the worst part is that the bibs did not track finish times or placement. Honestly, it feels like a scam.

Be careful with the $90 charge that comes after the so-called “free registration.”

The race had no organization at all. Many people did not know where they were supposed to run because there was no staff directing or coordinating the course.

Parking cost $20, but the parking area was not large enough for the number of attendees. Many people had to look for parking nearby, risking having their cars damaged or towed.

They lost 18 runners today who will not return or recommend this event. This was our experience at today’s race, and I definitely would not do it again.

The race was poorly managed and a waste of time. The course was largely unmarked and is actually not 5k. When the length of the course was brought to the attention of the organizers, they shrugged it off and told us to just run some more. They are obviously a cash grab with no interest in return business.

Fun in idea, really bummed. Pick up was weird... Hidden fees constantly. No traffic organization, parking was a nightmare. You got stuck in a line miles from the race, only to be told by people to turn around and go back the other way on Greer Road. They had the start line in straight up mud pit, so when you came through with a stroller you were caked in mud starting the race. The blue bubbles stained - BAD - like your skin and clothes. No signage and didn't seem like anyone was working it? Would not do this race. 0/10 do not recommend. It was giving Fire festival vibes - very hokey.

This was a logistical nightmare: No cooperation with local police to manage traffic, car lines backed up on roads a mile long, and people literally ditching their cars on the side or the road, vacant private parking lots, or on people's property so they can walk to the event. We ended up leaving before we even got to the parking lot. I hope bubblerun gets sued.

horrible, would literally never recommend this to anyone. my first try at a 5k and ruined it. please literally never sign up for this.

Bib pick up was a mess, unorganized and long lines that took forever!
The day of the run there was raining and thunder, they did not reschedule, postpone or give money back! Just left every one waiting for an update on IG and Facebook!

If I could give 0 stars I would. They have been unresponsive when trying to get a refund for the event THEY canceled. They rescheduled to a full year later when I won’t even be in the state. Waste of money. I would never buy from them again. Please do not buy from them.

This event was extremely disappointing. I had no idea that we would be running in a field at a farm. Traffic was backed up with no police or anyone helping the situation. When you enter, it’s $20 to park that they put in a Walmart plastic bag that is filled to the rim. No security at all. It was supposed to be a 5K. It was not. It was a little over 2 miles, one water station at the halfway point. I would not recommend to anyone This event was located in Dade city Florida on October 4, 2025.

The parking was a rip off! $20? Those who organized it should be ashamed for charging that amount given it was horrible parking to begin with. The grass you had to park in should have been mowed. It was literally past your ankles high and wet.
The disorganization was unbelievable! From the VIP Line to watching them setting up at the last minute.
Our "wave time aka start time" was 8am as conveyed to us by the organization. Please they weren't even ready at 8am and then it did start it wasn't a staggered start but rather a big push of people and children. Very unsafe!
Lets talk about how unsafe the course was. Full of tall thick grass and ruts. Someone could have broken an ankle.
Not all of the overhead bubble machines were working at 100%.
The course advertised as a 5k 3.1mi. Not even, just at 2.1. So this unorganized group had false advertised the event.
As we came under the finish line arch (being held up as an inflatable tube) it began to deflate and collapse on the participates.
This Group/Organization should be ashamed of themselves and what they put on today.

Now they are deleting all negative comments on their Facebook Page. What cowards and scamers

I wish I read the reviews before signing up and going to a Bubble Run event. Like others, the event was advertised as “free” but quickly added up to quite an expense in fees, in addition to $5 to get a piece of paper with a number on it (which doesn’t do anything since they did not have equipment scanning bibs and nobody was keeping times), and another $20 to park in the middle of nowhere in grass that was 3 ft long and needed to be cut. The race was approximately 2 miles despite being advertised as a 5K (3.1 miles). This discrepancy is unacceptable. Do not give them your money and avoid ANY events by Cool Events LLC, Bubble Run, or Mud Runs. They all have the same feedback. If you don’t care to pay for a “free” event and be charged extra fees and don’t mind the race being significantly shorter than advertised, then by all means - these events may be for you.

The run was short. I usually walk it with family and it takes us about an hour. We were done in 25 minutes. We didn't speed up that much. Parking was $20 & you had to pay an additional $5/person for I have no idea what it was for. Ther were few bubble stations and NO colored bubbles even though one of the bubble stations said something like "Isn't she pretty in pink". I asked why no colored bubbles and was told they ran out of dye. The run started at 8:00 and it was 9:00 with no signs of any pink bubbles ever being there. It just seemed bland and the short trail was a huge disappointment with such few bubble stations. It felt like they just cut the entire path short and it was very noticeable.

How can I put zero. It was advertised as a 5k that had free registration. Still paid $37 for insurance. I paid back in June and the run was today and I had not received an email of any info or updates since paying. Apparently you have to show up the day before to get your “race packet” which is only your bib. Since we picked up the day of we had to pay $5 dollars each and waited half an hour. Parking is $20. They had port-a-potties for the restroom and they were set up at an inclined angle and every step you made it would sway. When trying to wash your hands at the stations set up there was soap but no water. The advertising for this even said 5k but that was a lie. We only ran 1.6 miles. The entire even was poor communication, poor planning, and a strait up lie. Do not bother signing up for this at any location.

Gave 1 because 0 doesn't exist. Unbeknownst to most people you were supposed to pick up your bib the day before. They didn't let anyone know. My wife paid 37$ for "free registration", tax, and insurance fees. I paid 20$ for parking then another 10$ for the "Run Packet" (only the bib). Porta-potties unsteady and moved when inside. No water for hand washing. We waited in line for 30min after race started just to run with trails to congested and thin to pass people. Advertised as a 5k but was only 1.6 miles. Truly a disappointment and a waste of money! People's kids got in the way a lot but that's not the Company's fault.

Race was half of the advertised distance with few bubble stations. Packet pickup lines were excessively long and event day was very disorganized.
