Bugfest came to our S.E.M.H. Secondary school for the 3rd time and were a great success again, with all our students. One of our lads, who can, potentially, be challenging, was captivated throughout, asked lots of questions, and afterwards, said "Miss, that was well good! When's he coming again?"
Our students were enthralled with the entertaining and interesting way that the presenter, Nick, showcased all the wonderful and varied creatures that he brought with him. We all learnt lots! Not just the students!
We highly recommend Bugfest for all secondary schools, including SEMH settings like ours.

An amazing experience, Nick was so understanding and there was never any pressure to hold anything you didn't want to! Would highly recommend wether you're a bug lover or wanting to conquer your fears

Nick came to our house for a party for 6 x 7 year olds, and a few adults. He was fantastic! I cannot recommend enough! He was really engaging for the kids, a good mix of funny and informative. The kids all got a chance to handle the ‘bugs’. It was really different for a party and all the children no matter if they were confident or nervous were given equal opportunity. He is so genuine and enthusiastic about what he is doing that it is infectious! So much so we now have 2 giant snails! 😂
I am also looking to fund raise for our primary school so that Nick can come up for a day and visit each class.

Nice team, good flexibility

Nick presented a show at the Taunton Museum today. Very entertaining and educational on bugs and their importance. Also did a great job to ensure everyone got a chance to experience hands on.

We had Leighton come along with his amazing critters to Potter House Care Home's Summer Fete on 31st July. He was an absolute hit! Our residents and visitors absolutely loved learning all about the exotic animals. Leighton was so knowledgeable and absolutely fantastic with all ages. We are definitely booking them in again for another visit.

We went along to see BugFest at Somerset Rural Museum and what a delight it was.
The show itself was wonderful, Nick explained things in an exciting way to keep both adults and children entertained.
My son and I loved it. We then got to handle some of the critters and get really close to some of the ones that couldn’t be held.
Nick took the time to talk to my son about bugs and science and shared beautifully how neurodiversity is a super power. Something my son has taken away with him and has shared with other people since.
Absolutely wonderful

Nick visited our Special School and delivered 4 sessions for small groups of children with moderate to complex needs. He was so amazing with our children, he adapted his presentation for each group seamlessly. He was very funny and the children all had the best time getting up close with his amazing array of mini-beasts.

We booked Bugfest for our EYFS children and Nick was absolutely fantastic. He was brilliant with the children, kind, engaging, and made sure every child had a positive and memorable experience. His knowledge of the bugs was extensive, and he presented it clearly using a PowerPoint with helpful size comparisons. The visualiser allowed the children to see the bugs up close, and there were plenty of opportunities to handle some of the creepy crawlies. Nick was a real delight to have, and we will definitely be booking again.

We have recently had a visit from Bugfest to our school to visit our Reception children. The children absolutely loved it! It really brought alive our learning about minibeasts alive. Nathan was fantastic with the children, he had them all really engaged and spoke at a level suitable for them. Nathan was so passionate about the minibeasts and really knew his stuff. All the adults as well as the children learnt so much from him. Thank you Nathan for a wonderful day.

We were on holiday at Seal Bay when we saw Nick, he was amazing with his knowledge and got the kids and parents involved. He made jokes my husband understood and left my children with a confused expression.
This was so educational and entertaining. We would love to see to Bug Fest again.

Nick was fantastic, yet again! We had a great time meeting all Nick's many-legged friends. Nick was informative, fun and professional. We are definitely inviting him back for science week next year!

Nick was so enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. He had the children in the palm of his hand and they loved every minute of the workshop!

Bugfest is amazing! We have it every year at school for our EYFS children and Nick is amazing! He is engaging for both the children and the staff and the children love handling the bugs. They also learn so so much.Highly recommended - book every year without fail!

A huge shout to Nick we had the best day today for my 5-year-old birthday party.
All the children were so engaged and entertained with Nick and the mini beasts even the adults were amused by the experience. Can't thank you enough, going to recommend and follow the gigs you do for my bug-loving child!!

Another great visit from Bug Fest. The children loved the session and were able to hold the mini beasts. Leighton was very knowledgable and was perfect for the age of the children- 2-4 years old.

Nick ended our church kids club with a bang! We had a Holiday Bible Club based on science - Nick and his bugs came in with a funny, engaging and fascinating talk to end the week.

We had the hall full of families and we had great feedback from those who attended.

It was a fantastic day for the whole school and Nick even squeezed in an additional session for some of our pupils that had participated in Bikeability that day. Everyone loved the interactive session and many pupils were inspired to find out more afterwards. Highly recommend!
