I had a very poor experience with this company. I completed the forms online and received a quotation shortly afterwards. I accepted the quote and paid in excess of £ 5,000. They then informed me that a battery of additional forms would need to be completed and submitted. I submitted those I could (Many of the forms were aimed at big companies, not self-builders) but was then informed that the company was not going too accept the local authority building control as sufficient. In effect they were denying cover unless I bought new tests and inspections from their own inspectors.
I am now battling to get my money back from them. I'd recommend that people treat this company with utmost caution and not hand over any money until they are certain cover will be provided.

We are buying a property and they are dealing with the warranty.
Because of there lack of urgency and professionalism we are at risk of loosing the sale of our current property and loosing our new home.
Was told it has been sat with the director for 24 hrs and this was 4 days ago still yet for it to be sent to the solicitors etc.
At all costs avoid and use and alternative provider.

A really dreadful experience. I have had to commence legal proceedings against Buildzone.

I’m 18 months on from making a completely non-contentious claim for something clearly with the policy and have not received a penny. All I have had is stalling tactics and numerous repeat requests for more documents and information. They have passed the case to a third party and have seemingly washed their hands of it.

Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

Despite agreeing a claim and instructing work to take place, the claim has not been paid, despite promises to pay it. They site ‘administration’ mistakes. Still not been paid …….
