They are trying to connect to my banking account to steal money!
this company does well the "basics":
-- they answer mails (some other do not care....)
-- they answer fast
-- they answer with clear replies, not the usual "crap jargon" very popular (think about overly abused words like "thrilled", "elevated".........etc.
well done
As many other people here have written, it is impossible to get a refund from this place. I noticed a charge for a service I do not want and when I tried to get a refund I was told that it was not possible. Is this how this organisation makes a profit? Disgraceful. STAY WELL AWAY.
I am deeply disappointed with the handling of my refund request by BoF's customer service team. Despite reaching out promptly upon discovering the charge, my concerns have been repeatedly dismissed with reference to terms and conditions, without meaningful consideration of the specific circumstances.
While I understand the importance of policies, rigidly adhering to them without addressing genuine customer grievances reflects poorly on your commitment to customer satisfaction. I was charged almost £100 for a three-month subscription to a service I will not use, and I acted immediately to request a refund upon noticing the charge.
This is the third automatic renewal of my subscription. I take full responsibility for not noticing or canceling the previous two renewals, even though I did not use the service during that time. However, for this third renewal, I reached out immediately upon realization, and it is unreasonable and unfair to refuse any resolution.
This situation highlights a lack of flexibility and fairness in resolving issues. Being informed of a renewal through a single email is insufficient, especially for such a significant charge. The rigid enforcement of terms in this case, despite my proactive response, is both frustrating and disappointing.
The content is ok, but not enough for me personally to be a paying member. A trial is good to find out. BUT if you are a day late to cancel, YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR AN ENTIRE QUARTER. Contact with customer support made it clear that THIS STRATEGY IS DELIBERATE. Even if you report that you don't want to be a paying member and show that you were just a day late to cancel they are happy to charge for a full quarter. And then all communication stops. If Business Of Fashion were proud and confident that their offerings are desirable and quality enough, they would start a monthly subscription after the free trial.
I have been trying to get a refund from cancelling my membership and it's been next to impossible to reach someone or address this! Please help asap
I love Business of Fashion, really up to date information on what’s happening in the industry and seems to be keen on including as many perspectives as possible. Can’t comment on subscription service as I previously was a student member and I don’t currently subscribe to BoF professional, however the ads I have seen made it clear it was a £1 trial and then you’re charged (like other sites). Maybe the ads in Europe need amended!
I was charged a few day’s ago for the next month cycle (November ) and I emailed to say I’m no longer interested (temporarily).
I’ve not been able to make use of my subscription as I’m really busy at the moment . It’s strange to me that I can’t get a refund for a service I haven’t even consumed . It’s strange and disappointing to say the least . All the subscription services I use allow people get refunds .
I had originally planned to resubscribe when I made time , possible in a month or two but honestly I don’t think I’ll do that anymore , if this is the sort of policy you have . I actually thought it was 14 days into the billing cycle ( I’m only about 3 says in)
I’m thoroughly disappointed (for lack of a better phrase )
And honestly speaking, the value proposition of your professional service isn't that great. Asides the articles, one can make the argument that it's all just a bit of fluff to justify the fee (which you do not offer refunds on for the most part) .. Not cool
Predatory practices of trying to lure you in to subscribe for 1 dollar only to then NEVER respond to emails, social media to try rip 300 bucks out of you... disgusting! Contact PayPal to remove the upcoming payment as getting in touch with BoF is impossible!
I have a very bad experience with the company. Do not subscribe to € 1, 1 month membership. They will automatically take €325 from you credit card the following month.
It is impossible to get in contact with them and on their address, you will find a law firm. And they have never heard of The Business Of Fashion.
This is so unprofessional with very misguiding business manner. I would call it a scam.
My top site for up to date fashion industry news and a reputable provider of short courses.
A one-stop shop for all you industry needs, it also lists available jobs in the industry and works with researchers to give an overview on the future of fashion.
Good content, good email newsletters and insights into many areas of the industry and always expanding into new areas - print, podcasts, recruitment etc.
A little fixated on reporting mainstream established designers and businesses only, but definitely the best and most thorough publication of business fashion online.
