Tracker drained my car battery
Had to pay a fee to cancel insurance rven though it was within 7 days
Avoid
They claim below it doesn't drain the car battery… but it does, you will find others have reported this issue online also.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm really sorry to hear you've had a bad experience while with us.
In terms of the Miles Tracker, the way in which it operates is that it will periodically use your car's battery when the engine is off to ensure it's still connected to our network. That said, it uses so little power that it'd take several months to drain an average car battery.
Our Miles Tracker mainly uses the socket for the small amount of power it needs and reads engine codes, but it won't change anything on the car. The sort of functions it performs are standard and won't affect your car's electronics.
We typically need to charge a cancellation fee to cover the cost of setting up your policy, setting up your Miles Tracker, posting it out to you, and then arranging for its return. We do try to be as transparent as possible when you purchase the policy, which is why the cancellation fee is detailed on your quote page, in your policy schedule and documents and in our FAQs.

Taking out insurance with By Miles was simple and easy, and as a low mileage user it is great that I only have to pay for cover for the miles I drive. I don't understand why all insurers don't offer this facility, as it would be fairer on all road users!

I had an issue with my car’s mileage tracker not working, and I contacted ByMiles customer care for support. The team was very helpful and responsive throughout the process. They quickly identified the problem and arranged a replacement without any hassle. I’m very satisfied with the service and appreciate how efficiently the issue was resolved.
