Very displeased. Hidden fees, limited use, no video!

I had one positive experience thank you Jodelle Ferland and now an awful one with another talent who didn’t complete the video and no message.

Cameo state you have to go through Apple
To get a refund and Apple then say because cameo credited to your cameo account , your refund is denied, just a very poor experience

I'm no longer a customer I had tried to order a video and couldn't use my regular bank card. I shouldn't have to open up an account with Google Pay or others. I filed about 50 complaint with PA1 technology it was, no help.Cameo videos are priced too high video is worth about $25 or less, red carpet rewards aren't worth it,talents are phony they don't care about fans they only want our money and tips,and video is too short in conversation it's about 2 mins. This company is a complete scam. They promise a great celebrity birthday video and the celebrity doesn’t bother to do it. Don’t waste your time and money on this joke of a company. There is literally nobody to speak to after taking hundreds of dollars. The worst part is they let you know at the last minute making it difficult to get something else for a friend’s birthday

I really did enjoyed Cameo since December last year. I had 4 videos from the same talent only on different occasions. My last video was in April but I waited 3 months later for a pep talk video but it keeps going to expired. I have tried 8 times and still no luck. I am scared to think the talent is now ignoring me or has deleted the app. I am really heartbroken. Does anyone else know why? I tried emailing support but ai is too basic with information. I am scared I have lost the talent that I enjoy having from time to time. Can anyone give any answers to why?

I bought a Cameo birthday message for my brother's birthday, but Cameo auto filled the 'instructions to message provider' box with AI generic information that was totally irrelevant to my brother, including the wrong age. The person who I'd paid to provide the video message tried to reach out, and ask if I'd like him to record another message but the Cameo website wouldn't allow me to send my reply to him!

Awful. I’ve booked 2 videos over the last 18 months. 2 different actors. Neither was completed. Had to request refund through Apple as the refund from Cameo is very convoluted and deliberately difficult to do. All issues are dealt with an Ai bot. Very very disappointing

My video sound cuts out at the start of the video how do I get a new one done ?

The video was good. Cameo tacked on 3 extra charges that were not all on there when you hit the pay button. Certainly seemed like that part was a scam. Cameo would not engage about it to refund the charges that we did not agree to pay. DON'T SCAM PEOPLE, CAMEO!

the video was great - the actor managed to fit in almost everything in the short script and my friend said it was his best birthday present ever! that's what the 2 stars are for
the sleazy extra charge for watermark removal (and the video is useless with the watermark covering up almost 1/2 the screen) is just so yucky - and now i'm fighting about the fact that they use a third party payment provider, so they accept no responsibility for errors (using the wrong credit card)
cameo used to be so cool (in 2020) but maybe got bought out by some shady group - cannot recommend any more - what a shame

Really bad service. Cancelled my order and asked me to book again for a multiple of the original price. Cannot recommend, feels like a scam to me.

money hungry greedy peopled whoring themselves for quick buck in the name of art... no respect for self or mastery of craft... guess it has been like that they're all your favorite entertainers and celebrities see you merely as a transactional tool...

Purchased a Cameo who confirmed the cost was £84.00. Made the purchase via Applepay - what I didn't see at the time was that they charged me £119.99.
Contacted Cameo who advised they can't help - they app charged 117.99 USD (which is not £119.99 btw) and said to contact Apple as they took the money. Apple advised they don't take payments on behalf of third party apps and that Cameo have the money and need to take responsibility.

My celebrity, I won't name names, did not fulfill the request in the allotted seven day window. I feel a week is more than enough time for pretty much anyone, particularly a washed up "rock star" to find 5 minutes out of their day and give a fan a lifelong memory. Oh well, lesson learned, won't be using them again

I paid $375 for a message from Harvey Guillan from Whst We Do In the Shadows. This became more of a paid message for Harvey’s self promotion and less about the intention of the message. While the few portions where he was on topic, were good, the majority of the message was him talking about his projects. I didn’t pay for him to make a commercial about himself. He didn’t follow instructions. I suppose I should have written him a script, but I didn’t think it would’ve been necessary. I’m going to have to edit this before I share it. I asked for a partial refund where he promoted himself instead of sticking to the message. Cameo was not helpful and said that Harvey could do whatever he wanted. They also did not ask him to redo it, even though I said that this was an option. I would not recommend Harvey or Cameo. This is a racket.

Follow-up: I filled a claim through PayPal as a service that was not as described and it was closed in my favor with a partial refund. If you use Cameo, be certain to pay with PayPal in the event the talent doesn’t do what is advertised or Cameo is unhelpful.
