I have also been a victim of unlawful charges for ETA visa that should have only costed us $7 per/person.

I purchased 4x ETA visa at $79 p/person, $316 in total.

I am totally disgusted

It appears an official Canadian Government website, BUT its not. Beware, its a Scam! eTA should only cost $7.

BE CAREFUL!!

It was very easy to be sucked into this scam as the website looks very official. It wasn't until the payment page that I was suspicious of the price $79USD instead of $7CAD!!! Luckily for me the payment page buffered so much I couldn't make my payment, and realised in time!

I'm just worried about all the data I have provided for me and 3 of my family. So much information!! Can this be used for scams elsewhere?

This site is a scam . Be careful. Looks as it is official Canada Government site . eTa fee only $7 but you will notice they charged $79.00 . Think before you a upload your file.

Complete scam. Have reported this to relevant authorities, domain is registered in Australia. Will ensure they're tracked and punished

Almost got caught by this scam site.

This site is a scam, they charge more than 10 times as much as the official Canada Government site.
I imagine they justify it (to themselves / the law) by being able to submit multiple applications at the same time. All of the information that you need to provide the official site is the same (though canadaetaportal has technical issues making it harder).
It was quicker and easier to apply for multiple eta's via the Canadian government's site.

Fortunately I'd already seen what the price should be so when the amount came out I was as dubious as I should have been earlier.

Unfortunately, we spotted it too late. Who would have thought that Google will bring it up at the top!

This is scam.
They only want your money. I know I should have read the many pages on the website before I ordered and payed, but the site looket wery official - and no matter how much I just read on their website, it wasn`t clear what their services really are - except for hot air.
I have emailed fort and back with the company a few times, and its clear they don`t want to give me any real answers.
They wont make a refund, and advise me to let my bank handle that part.
I will ask my bank to do that - but I don`t have high hopes.

This is a scam. They design the web site in a way that it is difficult to distinguish from the official site, charge more than 10 times the money the official Canadian web site charges, and then they fail to even provide the service they ripped you off for. A week later (after not receiving anything and them refusing to cancel despite us having cancelled immediately after noticing the mistake) we applied directly at the Canadian web site, and got the ETAs instantly for CAD 7.00

Shame on google that they continue to display links of such scammers at the highest ranking, knowingly misleading naive people. This really calls for a class action not just against the scammers, but also against the misleading search engines knowingly leading us into the maws of such scams.

This site has taken our money and not provided the ETA's for two of us for $156 USD - we have gone direct to the Canadian government for $7 CAD each and had it approved in a couple of hours !
