Cap rouge sold me a Dud Battery.

Purchased a used battery pack from Cap Rouge in 2020. I reported intermittent connection issues early during the warranty period in 2021 and received troubleshooting assistance at the time. The issue later reoccurred and never went away .
Cap Rouge advised they could not assist further due to the age of the battery, the fact it was not returned during the original warranty period, and because the pack had since been opened for inspection. They offered a $100 discount toward a replacement battery.
While I appreciate the responses provided, I was disappointed a more substantial repair or goodwill solution could not be reached given the original fault history and cost of the battery. Distance and lithium battery freight practicality were also factors in not pursuing the matter further.

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback and for outlining your experience in detail.

We did review the full history on our side, including the email correspondence from 2021. At that time, we provided troubleshooting assistance for the intermittent connection issue, and on 25 February 2021 you confirmed that the issue had been resolved following those steps.

We also note that during the original warranty period we offered to have the battery returned to us for inspection and assessment, with freight covered by us. The battery was not returned at that time for formal diagnosis or repair assessment.

We also note this matter dates back to a previous trading period, and we are responding based on the records available to us since that time.

Given the significant time that has passed since purchase (around 5.5 years), the expiry of the warranty period, and the fact that the battery has since been opened and disassembled, we’re unfortunately no longer able to verify the current condition or determine the exact cause of the issue relative to its original state.

That said, we do appreciate your concerns and understand your frustration. Our previous goodwill offer of a $100 discount toward a replacement battery remains available if you would like to proceed.

Customer service

Easy to use ordering process.
Great UX

Ordered a ebike charger, realised I didn't need the product upon its arrival. Talked about a refund and they were onboard with it. Anyways life got in the way and 2 months later when I emailed them again. They still allowed to make a return. Very hospitable company.

Cheapest ebike conversion kits in Australia
I bought a full ebike conversion kit in APR 2021, and converted my commuter to make the ride easier. I've done just over 400KM now, and had no issues.
I was able to fit it to my bike pretty easily, and was able to get questions answered by email and phone.
Very quick delivery, and exception service.
Totally recommend if you're looking to convert.
