Thank You

CARE ADHD we're amazing the process with them was quick and straightforward once the forms were done. The assessor was kind, empathetic and patient. The assessment really opened my eyes to who I am. Incredibly helpful and a little difficult to. Not gonna lie 🥹.

I had been waiting for 3 years on the NHS. My GP were less then helpful. They made errors with requesting my assessment and never once informed me that I had the option to use Right To Choose.

A friend of mine informed me as her GP gave her the information when she requested her assessment.

She had such a positive experience with CARE ADHD. Therefore when I was making my decision CARE ADHD it had to be based on her recommendation.

Houston, We Have a Diagnosis

Despite taking months to complete my questionnaires (executive function chaos, of course. There were just…so many questions), I was sent an email about booking an appointment just a few days after finally completing them all.
No chasing needed, which was great…I would have 100% forgotten to chase :)
I did feel a little dread and anxiety going into the virtual assessment, as I usually hate feeling exposed, but Houston, the assessor, made the whole experience feel surprisingly pleasant, grounded and human.
Verdict was given on the day (which provided much needed relief), formal report still to come in a few days.

Titration appointments

Actual diagnosis pathway was pretty fast and clear I cannot complain. Since then, I have waited (still waiting!) 30 weeks since diagnosis for titration to begin. I have only recently emailed a complaint and am waiting to hear back since the site said it is best to wait but it does get to a point now. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone trying to be medicated since the wait is long and communication is unclear and rare.

I was passed over/referred by the NHS after the previous organisation I was dealing with Holistic Solutions ceased operations, and was swiftly seen to via video call appointment to assess my current situation then prescribed some medication shortly after. They're very professional, easy and kind to communicate with, see to you quickly and get the job done shall we say so I rate them very highly for their efforts.

Dear Nathan,

Thank you for taking the time to share this, and I’m sorry to hear about your continued wait for titration. I appreciate how frustrating it must feel when the timeframe you were originally given has been exceeded.

We understand how important clear and reliable expectations are, and we are actively working on increasing clinical capacity to help reduce delays and improve waiting times across the pathway.

Faultless

Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The whole process, from referral to diagnosis, was surprisingly quick which really helped ease some of the stress I was feeling.

I was quite anxious going into it but Mariam made such a difference straight away. She was so kind, understanding, and easy to talk to that I felt comfortable almost immediately. Her support throughout meant a lot and made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel much more manageable.

Everything else was just as smooth, the systems were simple to use and communication was always clear and reassuring. I genuinely can’t fault the service at all and I’m really grateful for how positive the whole experience was.

Misleading wait times, appalling communication

I have been waiting 5 months for my next appointment.
Every month they send me a new questionnaire about blood pressure, and then act like me responding to the same questions is somehow setting me to the back of the queue.

Every time I chase them they somehow casually mention that private patients take precedence over NHS referrals. It really feels like they're getting people in the door on the NHS then treating them badly to make them go private.

I have complained to their resolutions team, they have acknowledged that for over 6 months they have not been able to meet the waiting times but they will continue to advertise them.

Absolute Scam artists ripping off the NHS and failing at their duty of care. Look at the reviews below, all the positive ones have no details and are from Accounts with no history. Clearly they are buying positive reviews to offset the true experiences.

Dear Calum,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and that you are feeling this way about the service.

To clarify, we do not make distinctions between private and Right to Choose patients in terms of the level of clinical care or support provided. All patients are managed within the same clinical pathways and receive the same standard of care from our team.

In terms of waiting times, we do understand how frustrating delays can be. The increase in demand alongside a large number of referrals arriving within a similar period has made it challenging to consistently meet the originally advertised timeframes. We are actively working on increasing clinical capacity and improving our processes to help reduce waiting times and improve flow through the service.

We are sorry that your experience has not felt as expected, and we do appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns.

Warm regards,
The Care ADHD Team

Wait times and communication is shocking

If you can find an alternative provider via right to choose - I would. I was first referred by my GP 03/06/25. Every stage since then has been delayed - exceeding published timeframes on their website or advise given over the phone.

When you email or call after waiting months with no update then it’s always “won’t be long now” or “ a few more weeks”. Don’t give people timeframes if you have no intention of meeting them. The generic email response states don’t contact us ? They literally expect you to wait for them for as long as suits them.

I actually want to give up with these people but my GP advised me not to.

They’ll also try fob you off with “ we are busy helping others”. They shouldn't take on so many patients if they can’t provide a decent service to those currently in the system. I’m raising a compliant with the health care ombudsman after another - sorry you’ve waited so long - it’s longer than our published guidelines 🙄

I’ve filled out the on line form with the resolution team and got an email back saying they will response within 30 days

Titration waiting times

I have been diagnosed with ADHD late October 2025. I filled in my titration forms a week later and since then I’ve been waiting for my titration appointment with occasional updates from the service. Unfortunately, I haven’t been given any estimates and at the time when I got referred I was promised 12 weeks wait time for the titration. That time has already passed and I still have no idea when I will be put forward for my titration.

The service seems to have taken too many patients too fast with a promise of ‘short wait times’ which hasn’t been a case at all. I appreciate if they were more clear with their waiting times instead of being left waiting in the dark.

Dear austenloud,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I’m really sorry to hear how difficult and frustrating this has been for you. I completely understand how unsettling it must feel to be left without a clear idea of when your next appointment will be, especially after being given an initial timeframe that has now passed.

We do recognise that consistency and clarity around waiting times are really important, and I’m sorry that this hasn’t been your experience. We are actively working on expanding our clinical team and improving communication so patients have a clearer understanding of what to expect as they move through the pathway.

Concerns About Communication, Aftercare, and Ongoing Support

The communication provided was insufficient, both in clarity and depth. Following my assessment, I was not given adequate information about what would happen next, nor was I given the opportunity to ask questions or discuss my concerns.

Given that this diagnosis has impacted over 45 years of my life, I expected a more supportive and structured approach to aftercare. Unfortunately, I feel that the level of follow-up and guidance from CARE ADHD and Shared Care professionals has been lacking.

As a result, my mental health and depression have worsened, and I currently feel that I have no appropriate outlet for support.

Additionally, the waiting list for medication titration has been communicated in a vague and uncertain way, which is causing further distress and is likely to have a negative impact on my mental health.

Dear MISS MANJEET,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear that this experience has felt unclear and distressing for you. I appreciate how significant a diagnosis can be after many years, and how important it is to feel informed and supported about next steps.

We are continuing to review and improve how information is provided after assessment, including clearer guidance on next stages and what to expect, as well as strengthening communication throughout the pathway.

Regarding titration, we understand that uncertainty around waiting times can be difficult, and we are actively working to increase clinical capacity to help improve scheduling and reduce delays.

Wait time farce

The initial wait for a consultation was a longer than the wait times advertised at the outset and crept up while I awaited. After being eventually diagnosed in early December and completing my titration forms, I am still awaiting a medication appointment. The wait times have constantly lengthened. I'm now in the 19th week since my outcome letter. Now when I look at some other companies with titration given at diagnosis or 2-6 weeks after, I wish I had gone with someone else or are all of these companies lying to us?

I was referred to CARE ADHD via Right…

I was referred to CARE ADHD via Right to Choose and submitted my documents on 31st October 2025. After months of silence, I had to repeatedly chase for updates throughout March 2026. I was told I was in the 'Review Revalidation Outcome' stage on 20th March, and was finally cleared for titration in early April meaning I have waited over 5 months just to reach this stage, with no first appointment yet booked.
I was previously diagnosed with ADHD in 2022 and know firsthand the difference medication makes to my functioning. The delay has had serious consequences I am repeating my first year at university directly as a result of my ADHD being unmanaged for so long. I am also being treated for depression and anxiety, and the ongoing wait is making things worse.
I understand services are stretched, but the lack of communication and the pace of this process has caused real harm. I hope this review prompts someone to actually get in touch and get my titration appointment booked.

I have been diagnosed with ADHD since…

I have been diagnosed with ADHD since November 2025 after I applied in June 2025 . Nearly a year later, the whole process has been appalling. Sending emails telling me constantly 8-12 weeks to get booked, it’s a big lie. The waiting times they state are a lie and you have to wait for way longer. I wish I could say something about their service other than that they keep sending emails to wait 8-12 weeks. Avoid avoid.
Even their chat help center today only had to say the usual I m sorry you wait, appointments are being booked now for April-July 26. So I have to wait up to 3 more months. Very irresponsible service. If you can’t handle the number of patients you shouldn’t be taking more. Really awful experience for people with adhd.

Excellent and Efficient ADHD Assessment Service

I recently used CARE ADHD for my assessment and couldn’t be more pleased. The process was easy to use from start to finish, with an intuitive online booking system and clear instructions. Waiting times were impressively quick – I was seen within weeks rather than years. My assessor was professional and genuinely easy to talk to, making the whole experience stress-free. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an ADHD diagnosis.
