Disgraceful customer services and false promises of delivery time.

I purchased a phone 2 days ago from Carphone Warehouse on the promise of next-day delivery. I still have not received the phone. When I spoke to a rather rude woman called Lauren at customer service, she blatantly refused to contact DPD to find out where the parcel was. The law states that it is the seller's responsibility to contact and manage the courier when you purchase an order online. Despite explaining this, she refused to do anything for me. They obviously took my money under false pretences regarding delivery, and they operate disgracefully.

Shocking service

I had a phone I got and it stoppped working so they arranged a free collection and another phone even though I was left for 4 days with no Phone. They then said they would arranged for my upfront cost to be refunded via check nothing arrived I called up and they said we will cancel the check and issue a refund have my card details over the phone then again no refund so I rang up 2 weeks later and they said we have no record of this so that’s great just gave my card details over the phone and they have lost it. Then someone said they would take it on themselves to get it resolved this was 2 weeks ago and shock I’ve now got no refund or anything. I ordered my phone in June ffs

I had the worst experience imaginable with Carephone warehouse. From start to finish, everything that could go wrong did. when I ordered a phone they told I can pay my upfront In the first month bill so I said ok I will pay I have paid my debits for more than 1 year with insurance with different provider one bad day my phone has been stolen and immediately I called the network provider and asked them to block my phone and then I reach out to the insurance provider they asked for few documents I submitted the documents and they accepted all the documents
After a week of hearing nothing, I contacted customer service, which was a nightmare. I was on hold for over 45 minutes, only to be connected to a representative who was rude, unhelpful, and seemed completely disinterested in resolving my issue. and later they asked me to provide the receipt of value of the device and then I reach out to carephone warehouse where they failed to provide me the document with value of the device I requested them so much but they told many reasons but they did not provided me the documents im depressed I bought the device with so much hardwork monthly I paid almost 97 pounds for both device and sim but no use I have not received my claim.i mailed them so many times but no use they didnt help me out .
After weeks of back and forth, I finally gave up, realizing I was never going to get my claim back. This company clearly doesn't care about its customers and is only interested in taking your money. I will never, ever purchase from them again.

I am fed up with the weekly spam calls…

I am fed up with the weekly spam calls to my mobile, I ask them not to call me again, but they keep calling. How on earth can Carphone Warehouse think this is good for business. To the overpaid numbskulls on the Carephone Warehouse board.....I will NEVER, EVER buy your products because of this, and will recommend to everyone I know that they DON'T use you.

I ordered a Google pixel 8 pro with the…

I ordered a Google pixel 8 pro with the google watch on the 16/10/23 for next day delivery to store, Received a call the next day to say my phone was ready for collection. Went to store and they had not got it nor could any of the so called experts find it... they spent almost an hour looking through the same draws in store, i then got told it would be here the next day. They could not find any information and blamed the 20 year old software system they had.

The next day came and no call as promised so i took to calling customer support, what a joke. Every excuse under the sun as to why i had not received my phone.

Called again the day after and got similar run around, asked to talk to manager, he came on the phone telling me it is 48 hour for collection in store to which i pointed out we are now into the end of the 3 rd day, you know 72 hours.

Story then changed and he said he would contact the warehouse and put me on hold....... after around 20 min he came back telling me the warehouse would not tell him anything and he had to email them which could take 24 to 48 hours. You guessed it i still have not heard anything and it a week now.

Decided to try again via email, similar load of dribble with the extra thing of wait for it, we are not expecting stock until the 16th November. Strange i said as you web page is still saying in stock for next day delivery, more dribble.

So to say i am unimpressed with your customer service is an understatement, you communication is even worse.

Quick to take my money though....... hopefully someone with half a clue will read this and help.

Totally inept company and staff

Totally inept company, AVOID at all costs when buying a mobile phone
Recent bought a Google Pixel Pro via carphone warehouse/ Currys and have been battling ever since to get an invoice for the purchase. As part of the phone promotion was the ability to claim a free Asus Chromebook, for that I need an invoice, a simple and normal thing, however, carphone warehouse/ Currys don't want to make it simple! So after weeks of them sending incorrect info on a dodgy looking pdf they then send a correct invoice but password protect it so I can't share it with the company dealing with the Chromebook claim!!! And now the deadline for claiming has passed......

The whole process from buying the phone, getting the correct network for what I asked for, the delivery and the claim for the Chromebook promotion has been handled by incompetent and rude staff!

If I could give a zero or minus star rating I would as quite frankly a 1 star rating is far too high for carphone warehouse/ Currys

Untrained and Incompetent Customer Services

At the start of this year, I took out a mobile phone contract with Car Phone Warehouse. Within the 14 day cooling off period ( in fact it was the next day) , I decided to cancel as the phone reception was non existent. After being assured by customer services, everything was cancelled, they still continued to take money from my bank account for 5 months. I contacted Vodafone, and they were extremely helpful and understanding, sending me all the relevant bills & information and waving a £40 disconnection fee.
Car phone warehouse have admitted that it was there mistake and yet...
Car phone ware house are now refusing to refund my money, demanding a final bill, which after speaking with Vodafone on many different occasions , can not be provided for anyone. Vodafone even laughed and questioned why car phone Warehouse are requesting this information.

I have been chasing this refund since mid May 2022, to resolve this issue, all CPW has to do is make one phone call to their business partner. For what ever reason they are unwilling to do this.

Car Phone Warehouse, you have appalling untrained Customer service, hiding behind procedure, knowing that you are never going to refund. Absolutely criminal.

I suggest everyone that has a problem, contact BBC Watchdog, perhaps a public name and shame might help?

Pixel 6 £100 promotion - still waiting!!

Purchased a Pixel 6 handset on 09th July 2022 as per their advertised: "Get an extra £100 on your trade in Price when you trade in any Android Phone".
The very next day i received the handset via DPD but no return bag for my trade-in handset.
I then visited one of their branches regarding my trade-in, to which i was told that because i purchased my handset online, i am unable to trade-in the handset in-store and to await my mail-in bag.
In addition to this, I sent an email to their trade-in inbox inquiring about the incorrect amount in my trade-in email (£50 instead of £150), to which i have still not received a response.
I have also made calls to their dedicated customer support line only to be told different things. The initial call with an agent named "name removed" advised me I would have to wait up to 3 working days for the return bag and that i could have obtained the return bag in-store. I was not offered this at any point.
I asked about the distance selling regulations, as i have a brand new unopened handset which i cannot check as i have yet to receive the trade-in refund. To this i was advised that i could still use the phone but he was unable to put this in writing.
It has now been 3 working days since purchase (despite it stating 2 working days online) and no return mail bag for my trade in device.
Having spoken to your customer service agent "name removed", i was told the bag can take up to 14 days???
Where does this leave buyers and their rights to return their trade-in device within their 14 days limit and our 14 days distance selling regulations consumer protection?
I have a device i cannot open/check as i have not received the promised/advertised cashback by bacs because i am unable to send in the device or take it in-store at this point.
I have to also factor in the time it takes for the device to reach CPW and the time to test the device, taking me over my consumer protection. Your agent ("name removed") also advised i could take the handset in store to trade in, yet was also unable to put this in an email to show in-store.
The trade-in bag was subsequently received on the 14th July and the device sent back the very same day using their 48hr tracked service. It was received by CPW on 18th July 2022. According to their T&C the refund/payment for the trade-in device would be processed within 3 working days of receiving the device. Yet here i am on the 3rd day and no payment, other than an email advising me of a revised value for my trade-in device; to which i have duely accepted. Now, my issue is i have 3 days before i can return the device within its 14 days for a refund (unopened) which was purhcased on the premise that this promotional £100 and the value of the trade-in device would be paid within this period. Having spoken to yet another customer service agent and advised the payment is made after 14 days and this is stated online, however having read out the t&c online to the agent and explaining there is no mention of this, i was told to then 3-5 days. Seriously? I dont have the 3-5days! Absolutely appalling and disgraceful service and will never shop with currys/cpw again. Be warned, once they have your money they will drag out the process as long as they can. I think i will stick with Amazon in the future, atleast their customer service are more understanding and resolve the issue.

I would give zero if I could

I would give zero if I could. Reading gate store sent my phone to be repaired and it took three weeks. The worst bit is, they refused to repair it due to “water damage” even though it has not got wet and only 3 months old! But here’s the best part.. when they handed the phone back to me, there are two large cracks in each corner which were absolutely not there when I handed it to them. The response? A shrug of the shoulders and told to email customer service! Really? So customer service was called and after waiting 40 minutes to get through I’m told that they can’t do anything and it’s a store issue. So I go back to the store and guess what? Told “sorry nothing we can do, call customer services. So at this point I’m raging. I’m paying £30 a month for a phone which was NOT water damaged but damaged by car phone warehouse, obviously when they opened it up and they are claiming that the water damage is due to the crack which was not there when I handed it over. The store won’t do anything they have a don’t give a **** attitude. So I’m now stuck in a two year contract with a phone which is fit for the bin. Never ever again will I use carphone warehouse. I’m now having to go to trading standards. The stress this has caused me is crazy, awful way to treat customers!!!

No Phone!

Had an iPhone 13 mini on order for over 2 weeks only to be told the order has been cancelled, this after they have credit checked me!
Apparently they made a mistake on the pricing though they honoured the deal for others.
Shocking company the way they have handled things.

Just had a very rude carphone warehouse sales man ring me from 01239 200 107 this idiot just started shouting at me over the phone telling me to listen to his good deal I wanted to ask him 3 questions of his deal never got the chance he just was so ignorant and shouted over me so I had to hang up the phone to such a rude person if all their sales agents are like this then their sales will be effected badly

Harassing calls, rude and unnecessary. Already blocked numerous numbers - stop calling!
While asking the caller to remove my details from the system was rudely hung up on!

Harassment by Carphone Warehouse

I am still absolutely fed up of unsolicited sales calls from Carphone Warehouse! I have asked more times than I care to remember to be removed from the cold calling list but to no avail.
I feel totally harassed by this company, do yourself a favour and avoid them or you will be harassed as well.

Unsolicited, rude calls.

I was just called from 01249 250009, who said they were Carphone warehouse calling about a special offer.

After explaining I’m registered with TPS and they shouldn’t be calling me (I’ve never used them?), I was told to “f off and die” before they hung up.

Really nice way to have your business represented.
