I sent them a brand new laptop because I was gifted another one (was in college) and needed the money. I shipped it to them and took pictures of the laptop to show how brand new it was. They advised they would pay me very low for it because it is not working and it has a scratch on it. I was so confused because again it’s a brand new laptop!

I told them to ship it back. They did and lo and behold, there was a small scratch on it. I also couldn’t get it to work. I flipped it over and looked at the back of it and it was missing some of the stuff on the motherboard. I emailed them and of course they did not respond. Complete scam.

A great way to recoup some of the investment you spent on your unused hardware. This was such a pleasant experience. They were extremely transparent with the analysis of my hardware, and payment was processed quickly. I will definitely use them again, and will recommend to everyone I know.

Best deals ever

I had a laptop that was out of the box and rarely ever used because I’ve been in and out of the hospital since I got it. I decided to sell it and got a fairly decent offer from them at $200. A few days later, I receive an email claiming that the laptop which the longest use had been deleting it to prep and ship off to them was . At first JZ was friendly but after confronting him about the tactics that they have used on many unsuspecting customers he became abrasive and rude. Finally he offered $150 which is a steep drop from the good condition of the laptop on their site. Go ahead and read all their reviews, so many people cannot be lying… this is a pattern for them and in the end, the sellers are the ones losing out. So right now they’re holding a laptop that was $500, in exceptional condition and should not have had any less than an excellent battery condition , when I asked for video proof of the battery percentage and cleaning off what appears to be a smudge that wasn’t there when I sent it (as well as some white bits) he said that he would not be providing further proof, yet another red flag. I’ve reported them to all the proper channels so they can be investigated for these dishonest tactics they use and put many sellers at a very uncomfortable position. Many would decide to just get the amount they’re lowballing you for after a high valuation because otherwise they’re making you pay shipping fees back for them lowballing you and making dishonest claims about the condition of your laptop or whatever device you’re selling to them. Clearly a bait and switch.

Was told my laptop was worth $120. They provided a shipping label. I sent it in then they game me some story that my battery was only 30% usable and only offered me $20 for it. I said no way send it back. They made me give them a label to get MY laptop back. Right after I got it I went to Bestbuy and asked the techs there to bench my laptop for the battery. They told me it was an outright lie! They said the battery is over 80% usable life left. DO NOT BUY FROM CASHFORUSEDLAPTOP.com it is a scam.

The team is very helpful answered all questions and were readily available when I needed assistance for something like a label or just a follow up. They were quick to respond either email or a phone call they were at the ready to assist!

The website says “Get paid fast. We send you payment within 1 business day after receiving your laptop.” False. After having my laptop for 2 weeks I emailed them I had not received any notifications from them and asking what was happening regarding my laptop and payment. Ongoing emails to JZ Shah, Jay Smith, text messages and phone calls, and currently 9 working days since my last email to Jay Smith, and several emails to support. In one email I explained I would file a claim with the Arizona Attorney’s office if I did not get a response. Now I’m told today, by JZ Shah via phone, to give him 2 hours to respond. I do not recommend this company.
Update: JZ said my check had been sent the previous week, and I did receive the check that same day. I want to add, that I realize I had the same experience as others. When you use their system to see how much they are willing to pay you for your laptop, Never does it mention the Warranty or Battery Life. They use this as leverage to deeply lower the confirmed price. For me it was from agreed $204 to $140! $64 lower! And if you don’t agree with the new offer, they will charge you to send the laptop back. I suggest to look elsewhere for buyers.

Classic bait and switch. Similar issues to other negative reviews. They gave a high buy price, but then after receiving the product the price from $460 to $275 claiming laptop was only in "good" condition, out of warranty, and battery defect. I explained the warranty was not part of the initial process (and that there is a current transferable warranty) and providing proof the batter was operating @88% capacity. Not trusting they would send my laptop back, I accepted an adjusted offer of $325. The kicker is they sold my laptop in excellent condition days later with "9/10 with little signs of wear and batter is in normal condition." Clearly, were dishonest with trade-in condition or are dishonest in their selling-condition...either way they are scamming someone. I've never had an issue with other companies trading in electronics: backmarket, bestbuy, newegg... AVOID THESE GUYS!!

I’m still waiting on getting my fund for my laptop i sent over a week ago. I’ve spoken to someone three times already and been waiting for a email for a few a since they’ve receive my laptop. Laptop was sent 3/26 arrive to them 3/29 and today 4/7 still haven’t been paid out

Typical ploy...quote high price offering and then low ball the customer once item is received! You will also be out of shipping cost to have the item returned back to you. Don't expect the item to be returned as sent...mine was re-imaged! Do not waste your time here!

Great communication and friendly service

Communication was fast and courteous. They were easy to deal with and I would use again.

Easy, straightforward process. You answer a few questions, they send you the shipping label, and upon receipt, they give you an updated final offer, based on their techs' examination of the laptop. Once you accept (you can also say no and have it shipped back to you), they pay you via your preferred platform. Would use again!

Sent in 2 different laptops, they confirmed receipt of the package and then ghosted. I emailed them multiple times and each time was told that my case was "escalated" but I was never actually contacted by anyone about being paid. It's been over 2 weeks and at this point, they've just stolen from me. Order #64355

Edit: They magically contacted me after posting this review to say both laptops were worthless and offered me $10 for both, OR $25 IF I REMOVE THIS BAD REVIEW.

Scam company. You're not buying me for $25.

Edit 2: Not only is this company bribing people to remove reviews, they also can't keep their orders organized. My order sheet very CLEARLY says I sent in a Razer Blade 17 RZ09-0368x and the Lenovo Yoga 720 with a combined estimated value of $386. Nothing about a Victus and no idea who else's order you probably messed up to think that.

Funny to say a Razer 17 has zero market value when your own website offers over $300 for it. We call that a bait and switch!

I wouldn't trust a single positive review on here as they are all generic and there's multiple reports of them paying for reviews.
