I Received a Mailer from this Company Concerning my New Burial Benefits from the VA.
1. A Business that has Hidden their Google Reviews Speaks Volumes and lets you know that they do not want you to Read them.
2. Their YELP reviews are 3.4 or 1.8.
3. Contacting the Veteran Benefits Administration (VBA) will Provide all the Assistance you will Require.
4. Additionally, Veteran Assistance Organizations; such as the American Legion, Veteran of Foreign Affairs, etc.. can also assist you.
5. This is nothing more than a Gimmick to Lure you in and Utilize their Funeral Services.
6. Do you really want to Trust a Business that Utilizes these Deceptive Practices During a Time when you are Dealing with Loss, which will be One of the Most Stressful Events in your Life?
They promised the world and did…
They promised the world and did nothing. Wrong coffin, wrong vault, didn't contact the Air Force for Military service.
It was my father's funeral. If I could give less than one star I would. Let's sum up Dignity in one word.
LOSERS
Cold called me after my Mother's death
The woman I spoke to was kind enough, but they cold called me after my Mother's death. I don't know how they even got my number as I looked to see if I had any correspondence in the email as she claimed that I or someone submitted a form under my email address. I was too flustered to ask for management. I am disappointed that there are companies operating like this in the funeral industry. My Mother had everything preplanned so there is no way that anyone submitted a form to their company requesting they contact me.
Horrible experience with the most rude…
Horrible experience with the most rude staff that tell you that you can’t call back and that tell you that you are the one to blame. There was this one lady about a few months ago who just would not listen and would project all her crap onto you . What sort of service is this? Same with the guy that works night shifts Jenna’s just mean and inconsiderate on all levels. The staff is so poorly trained that this is def not a service for those who need support negative reviews if possible
Awful customer service
Awful customer service. I communicated with them about a relative obituary that shouldn’t have been published and the representative told me “how she could help me” like I was asking her for blood when it was clearly expressed by the petition. They didn’t care and still are publishing the obituary instead of removing it to the petition given. By doing this, they don’t have empathy nor respect towards customers. They should change the name of the company since dignity is not a quality or virtue they treat people with.
BEWARE! They are awful!
Why would a company who is dealing with such a sensitive subject as the death of a loved one not have a way to edit a public condolence?? If something is spelled incorrectly or you just want to take something out, you should be able to immediately? No, you can’t. You cannot remove it or edit it. You must call, file a report and wait for someone to call you back to edit a misspelling or grammar error??? I will never leave another condolence with this company again. So embarrassing!!
DO NOT use this company
DO NOT use this company, I was an employee that suffered a traumatic injury while at work, they refuse to help or take care of my life long injury. They do not care about doing the right thing, even after proving they were negligent on fixing a piece of equipment I warned them about multiple times. If they can't take care of a living and breathing human, how much do you think they care about your loved ones. They would rather refuse to pay my salary and get the surgery I desperately need, than do the right thing. So disappointed
The compassion helpline is inconsistent…
The compassion helpline is inconsistent and the ppl are not well trained at all. They don’t know what to do and tell you that you have a time limit and that you can’t talk that much. Such a poor service
LISA GOURGUES of Dignity Wishes An Assassination Attempt Had Succeeded!
This company employs an individual named Lisa Gourgues who thinks the attempted assassination of President Trump would've been better had the shooter not missed. Her exact quote from Social Media "I'm grieving that the shooter didn't have better aim". We can only hope Dignity Memorial doesn't support such a person who wishes for another human being to be murdered but thus far mums the word from Dignity. Silence kills folks. Silence is complacency if not a show of direct solidarity with their employee's dismal viewpoint. This is a VERY large corporation as well. You have choices of funeral providers and DON'T have to use a Dignity franchisee. In fact you're likely going to save money using a smaller more local funeral home that doesn't wish their political opponents to be assassinated.
Very poor experience
Unfortunately, my sisters and I had a pretty awful experience from start to finish. Poor communication and very insensitive. No one should have to deal with the added stress that was created by Nunnelee Funeral Chapel of Sikeston, MO. Our mother was an employee of Dignity Memorial (KCMO) for several years and her services were prearranged. We are shocked that this was considered compassionate or acceptable.
My family gravesite has been desicrated by vagrants and drug addicts
Both of my parents are buried at Laurel Land on Crowley Road. A "homeless" encampment has allowed to remain on the empty lot next door and the drug addicted tweaked out campers come through the fence, steal flowers and memorials and decorate their tents with the stolen items. Management does not care. Grounds are not kept up, which is part of your payment when you purchase a gravesite. I have complained to the office and get a royal run around when all they have to do is phone the Fort Worth Police and have the encampment removed. The "vagrants" are male, with multiple running vehicles, not women and children. The entire area is filled with drugged out people on the street, in all directions. I drove onto the property to see how many people were living there and found multiple tents, evidence of meth cooking etc. Don't put your loved ones there. If I had to do it over again, I would never use dignity memorial.
If Dignity of Volusia wants to market…
If Dignity of Volusia wants to market to people of color they need to hire a makeup artist for people of color. My mother, who was a fair skinned woman was made up by someone who knew nothing about blending makeup for people of color. My son, took a picture of her on his visit before her makeup was done. My visit was after the makeup was done. My fair skinned mother was about 10+ shades darker than her regular color. She was so dark it was insulting. When my son and I complained we were further insulted by being told the difference in our pictures was the lighting. If Dignity was to market and serve people of color they need to understand that we come in we various tones. What they offered to do was add blush like that would lighten her complexion. Before they would fix the situation they continued to offer up terrible and insensitive suggestions.
Beware!
As a former employee, I do NOT recommend ANY Dignity Memorial funeral home/cemetery. It is a corporate owned entity that prioritizes money over all else. The preneed sales is cut throat and somewhat akin to a used car lot. Funeral Directors get bonuses for upselling. That means, even if you prearrange your funeral, they will try to upsell your loved ones at the time of need. Also, be aware that if you prearrange your funeral with them and move, you MUST use another Dignity Memorial funeral home if available. If you don't, they will keep 20%-30% of your prearrangement money.

This was a terrible experience for us…
This was a terrible experience for us and we have buried a lot of our family in this cemetery. When my brother in law went to hospice I told my sister I would take care of cemetery for her. I called them a week ahead of time and told them the family plot was in my name and I would like a drawing of plot. I talked to two different women three times that week about this, one was Rheti and I don't remember the other name. All I got was promises but no information. Brother in law passed on Monday and we went to Salem funeral home because we hadn't heard from Voglers. When I finally talked to this Rheti she was quite hateful with NO COMPASSION AT ALL. She said the other woman was suppose to take the pictures of the plot and she was not there. She said no one else would do it!! Why does she think this was any of our concern and why could she not do this herself?? I went to the Vogler's chapel at Rheta's office but she wouldn't see me, said she would look at my papers and get back. I ask her NOT to call my sister but she did!! Finally finished the paper work on Wednesday, service on Thursday. Many of us are stuck here already but I have put on social media NOT TO BUY GRAVE PLOTS AT FORSYTH MEMORIAL PARK ON HWY 421 IN WINSTON SALEM NC.!! They are very expensive and DON'T SEEM TO CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH !!!!!!!!!! I complained to corp and was told "we take this very seriously and someone will get right back to you", GUESS WHAT ?? I NEVER HEARD BACK! DIGNITY MEMORIAL ARE NOTHING BUT COLD HEARTED, MONEY HUNGRY VULTURES! We even found stone companies that will not deal with them, and buy the way, we bought our marker somewhere else and Dignity charges $395. fee and does absolutely NOTHING !!!!!!!!!! Stay Away !!!!
I am having the most disgusting time…
I am having the most disgusting time with Dignity’s Sunland Memorial Park location. Make sure your love ones pick out every detail and put it in the Will. Their policies do not accommodate most families and expect everyone to sign off on details regardless of one’s legal rights as executors who by law need no further approvals. Run go somewhere else! Per my mom she was buried next to my dad, a veteran who died 1968. I wish I would have known what I know now about policies or I would have chosen somewhere else.
Worst company ever
Worst company ever. Total rip-off. Don’t do business with them.
All I can say is this has been a…
All I can say is this has been a horrible experience. My brother-in-law passed in September of 2022 and it is now May of 2023 and we still don’t have an engraved plaque for his grave. It was prepaid and supposedly everything included. Apparently not. Although no one told us until April of 2022, they suddenly said that the engraving wasn’t there as we haven’t paid for it. So we did, stupidly, and after two months, nothing. They also charge for services that aren’t provided. I would never use them. They are horrible.
