Very Disappointing Customer Service & Reimbursement Process
I recently had a frustrating experience with Chemist Warehouse. The customer service was absolutely disappointing. I had to deal with long wait times, unhelpful responses, and a complete lack of follow-through on my issue. I was promised that my reimbursement would be processed in a timely manner, but after weeks of waiting, I still haven’t received anything.
It’s incredibly frustrating to be treated this way, especially as a loyal customer. The lack of communication and delay in resolving simple issues is unacceptable. I will certainly be reconsidering where I shop in the future.
Would not recommend based on my experience.

I don’t know what is going on with this company but it’s gone to the dogs!
They stole over $300 from us in December and have completely taken us for a ride getting it back. Disgusting after sales customer service trying to sort out online order glitches. Sent us the order products cancelled orders and have caused us nothing but gift. Will never buy from you online ever again. You have lost a customer who use to spend a lot of money buying health products for their special needs child. You are no longer honest or reliable to trust with our health care needs and will gladly be taking our money elsewhere.

On receipt they handed over generic products. Had to wait while they swapped the products over to original not generic .
Then I got to the check out only to find I was overcharged they had not given me the pension concession. Back again to the pharmacist for correction . Then a lovely girl took me to checkout at the correct price .
More concentration on the job at hand and less giggling and mucking around please .
Fantastic Service
We needed crutches for my wife and it was near closing time. Ee Jie was so very helpful. My wife went on to also purchase some items for herself. Two shelf packing girls helped her immensely.

Sounds great in theory
Sounds great in theory - however this is the second time items took over 3 weeks to arrive (and still waiting for rest). Additionally, items are shown as 'in stock' (Chemist Warehouse take your $$$ upon ordering), only to receive an email later to say they are out of stock and items will be delivered when more stock arrives (however long that takes).....
Would I purchase from Chemist Warehouse again...... probs not after a second mis-fire with delay of delivery and items not being available - false advertising...... (sorry).
Dreadful
I ordered probiotics online that require refrigeration. I ordered them on the 3rd and they didn't arrive until 12th. When they did they were hot and the freezer bag had completely thawed and was also warm. I rang the company. They refused to replace or refund the product saying that it could be out of the fridge for 7 days. It clearly says on the label store refrigerated at 2- 8 degrees. The manufacturer website says do not have out of fridge for more than 3 days. I am very, very disappointed as I spent $110 with them.
Gift Cards
My elderly mother asked me to use her $100 gift card at Chemist Warehouse which expired 25.11.24.
When I was in the queue I noticed the gift card expired on 25.10.24.
I sent an email asking for an extension as big companies will do this as money was worth more 3 years ago than now.
Woolworths etc have no use by date and Myer etc have always honoured expired gift cards.
They sent me a nasty reply saying they were for 3 years and they would not extend it.
I know they expire after 3 years. All gift cards are at least 3 years expiry by law.
They couldn't make it shorter if they wanted to.
I am disappointed but not surprised as I have found there customer service is terrible and looking at the other reviews so has everyone else.

I was looking for perfume for a gift. I asked for assistance from Louise at the Westfield Parramatta Chemist and she was so very helpful. She really was very patient and knowledgeable. I ended up buying the gift and another for myself. Great sales assistance right there.

Hi Oxley Chemist Warehouse Store Manager
I went to oxley store on 27th October 2024, Sunday evening to purchase a FILA women’s perfume. The tester I tried on and I bought the perfume thinking of it will the same as the tester.
However it was not the same one. The tester was kept for the other FILA perfume. So next day on Monday 28th October 2024 at around 12:15 pm I went to the Oxley store to return or to exchange with the tester perfume which I wanted to buy in the first place.
The Lady who work there name Jackie (area manager) Was very rude to us and then the other lady name Ally came and she started saying that it’s not there fault it’s customer fault.
She said the customers are not putting testers in the right place. It’s not their fault.
Then she went to each and every perfume tester in store and put it at the right place in front of me. Explaining to me in the rude way. I have the snap of the tester and the perfume which was in a behind the tester and they are identical . And there were 10 of it and I’m sure customers have bought that perfume trying with that tester and getting later on with the different product.
Then Jackie (area manager) told us we should gift that perfume as it was open and they can’t take it back.
The other lady name Ally told me since, I have complained she said she have realised that the tester were not kept in the correct place she started organising it in the proper way where they belong. But they did not apologise to us neither gave us refund nor-gave exchange for that product.
I’m very disappointed with the service. Not happy at all. I want my money back or a store credit.
Could you please take some action regarding this as this is not the right way to treat customers.

I bought a 100ml Narciso Rodriguez For Her Eau De Toilette from Chemist Warehouse last Wednesday as mine had run out. So I was just replacing a like for like perfume. I opened the Chemist Warehouse Narciso Rodriguez on Friday night to use it and oh god it smelt like it had gone off. It had a sour smell to it, which I can only liken to a perfume that was old and expired or expiring. Disappointed, I put it back in its box and took it back to the Chemist Warehouse I had bought it from today (Saturday) so three days after I had bought it. I took it back in the box with the receipt to be met with nothing short of abuse from the pharmacist/manager for the day. I explained what had happened and gave her the perfume and receipt to which she wouldn’t accept a refund saying I should have tried a tester before purchasing. I actually nearly laughed out loud and responded, the tester and this perfume may be from different batches and therefore what she had suggested didn’t make sense. I also said to her that she was going against the Chemist Warehouse refund policy regarding poor quality/faulty products and against AU consumer law. She responded to this by asking me to come back to the same store on Monday to speak with their other manager. As I was now running late for an appointment due to her retail incompetence I said I would be raising this to her HQ and trading standards which I will do now.

I took my son Caoimhín into the Newly opened Chemist Warehouse in Drogheda, as I wanted advice on bandages and dressings for my son, as he received a nasty wound on AstroTurf.. As I entered, there was a great atmosphere in store.. One of the very friendly Staff members directed me to the Pharmacy, which was located at the bottom of the store.. I was greeted, by a very friendly girl behind the Counter, who went and got the Pharmacist.. The Pharmacist, Sinéad was Super Professional, extremely empathetic towards my Son, and took us both into the Consultation Room, and gave me advice, and recommended the appropriate dressings, and advice.. Her 30 years experience was reflected in her knowledge, empathy and advice. I shall definitely be returning again.

Munno Para store in SA. I went to purchase Anxiety Vitamins and asked for a price match plus 10% off as the store advertises. Was made to wait for the store manager for 5mins. When the store manager arrived to help she was quite rude saying she was really busy and only offered a 5% discount and asked “ well do you want them or not? “ . I bought them and as I turned to leave she said “you really need them”. Absolutely appalling service mocking mens mental health.

Re DunLaoghaire store. Needed a prescription urgently and got instant help from the staff . They really are so nice and understanding . The place always seems busy and they cope very well. The prices are great . Love the staff.
