Annie was absolutely fantastic from minute one, with both my son (and dog) loving her as soon as she walked in the door.

My son is a bright lad but due to disruptions with inconsistent teaching in Year 12 he always struggled with Economics. In July 2024 we were astounded to find out his end of year exam result was grade D. We were desperate to find an Economics tutor which we could work with and it was my mission as a mum to sort this. I joined various agencies and was sent lots of potential people to tutor my son but felt no real connection, just people promising that they could improve my son’s grade but with no evidence to prove this.

I reached out to Choice Home Tutoring and Jo rang to advise that she had the ideal tutor for my son. I spoke with the tutor and instantly connected. He provided details of his experience and was a super choice. We are immensely proud of our son for his commitment to work hard and he has improved significantly! He has continued to improve and has been achieving Grade A/A* results for the past few months. My son’s tutor is outstanding!

She was brilliant, super supportive, quick to figure out the areas he needed to work on and also worked collaboratively with both junior and high schools to maximize his learning. My daughter's biology tutor, Louis, has been excellent. His lessons are extremely well-prepared, going into her Year 8 syllabus in depth and using colourful and engaging slides and fun activities to help her learn, understand and retain the information. Louis is very personable and puts her at ease so she isn't afraid to ask questions. We were especially impressed when, following a class on KS3 genetics, she asked him if he could explain our family's different eye colours. He prepared an entire explanation for her, complete with colour charts, and breaking down into simple language concepts not taught until A'Level. When she came to the same topic at school, she was delighted to be able to use her new knowledge to go into greater depth in her schoolwork.

Julie Bradley tutored my son this academic year in English. He had always struggled with English, and I approached Choice Home Tutoring to book some extra sessions to help him get onto the right track with English language and literature. He is in Year 10. Julie tutored him for a number of hour long sessions and he came out very happy and encouraged, with simple but great techniques to help him approach exam questions, and ways to analyse a text. She helped him with poetry and with Shakespeare, both of which he was covering at school, but these extra tuition sessions really helped him in a way that he wasn’t getting from school. Julie helped him be focused and to get much more out of answering an exam question. It has really helped his English going forwards, he is enjoying it much more now, is doing far better in the subject than ever before, and I believe the tuition has helped him understand and improve his writing and analysis in other essay based subjects. He’s a lot more confident and engaged with his school work than he was before. I think Julie gave him techniques and confidence. I plan to book some more sessions for Year 11.

Home Tutoring helped both my daughter then son to work on their skills to help them with entrance exams, the topics covered differed to those learnt in school and guided them through what was needed for the tests.
In the case of my son, the tutor we had did more than just help him with exams, she gave him tools to help him in the classroom, strategies to stay focuses and made a huge difference in our lives - we have been very grateful to the services offered and would highly reccomend them.
