Cynical and dishonest installation
Steve West installed the system for me 2 years ago and, being ignorant, I assumed it was done properly and professionally. There was one more unfinished piece of work - to attach my generator - but although he visited a few times, there was always an excuse not to do the work. For about 18 months now he has not answered emails or phone calls. In January this year my battery stopped working, and everybody I consulted said the installer should be the person to sort it out. I could not contact him. About two weeks ago I was introduced to someone who used to work at GivEnergy (now in administration) and he got the battery working remotely. He also spotted that there was something wrong with the installation. He recommended a solar engineer who has been here and found and rectified a couple of major problems. There is one remaining one, but it will be a major undertaking to put right. Since the two other problems have been rectified I am finally getting very good results from my solar panels. I can see that I have probably paid £2-3,000 more, over the past two years, in electricity than I should have, thanks to the poor installation which Steve West cynically and unprofessionally provided.

I have been dealing with this company…
I have been dealing with this company but have had no replies to emails for many months. Their phones are never answered and when I contacted the MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) I am told that they have been suspended, in spite of the fact that the CLEAR-SKY- ENERGY LIMITED claim on their website to adhere MCS and the RECC CODE

Clear Sky Energy are a friendly reliable company. Steve is confident and passionate about his work and gives lots of useful advice, has installed solar PV and air source heat pump systems for me plus other electrical, plumbing and heating works, all to a high standard. I will continue to use Clear Sky Energy for all future renewable works.
