Quite literally the most abysmal “mental health service” I have encountered. I have experienced ongoing issues with CNTW since being “treated” by them , from the age of 18. I am now 23, almost 24 and... Ver más

sexual misconduct
I have been referred to these both by my general practitioner and via the ambulance service. The first time I was referred things were going okay. However I found the talks to be rather patronising. A couple of weeks in to home treatment I had a male mental health nurse come to my home and he was asking sexual questions that were inappropriate. I reported him to the manager of the trust and she came out to my property and wrote a statement. However I have never heard anything back from this extremely serious matter.
When I was then referred by ambulance service they failed to make any contact with me
When I feel as though I am going in to crisis I was told to phone these but every time I do they ask what’s the reason your calling what help to do you want and it makes me feel like my reasons aren’t good enough because they belittle you and can even sometimes make your situation worse for you.
I think this could be a great service but unfortunately it’s not patient first with some of these people. Some staff however have treated me how I intend they should but unfortunately it’s the bad staff that make this worse.
I believe that in a few years time or maybe a decade there will be scandals about the behaviour of some of their staff. Sexually harassing someone who is in a mental health crisis is beyond shocking but unfortunately it does happen.
Patients are just numbers
At the beginning of my mental health treatment back in 2010 I felt like I was treated as a human being when it came to my care I was listened to properly and was taken seriously however now everytime I am sent for an assessment I come out of it feeling like I'm not taken seriously and that to them I'm just a burden. It's like they have just stopped caring. They don't always listen to what you tell them i.e I told them them I no longer wanted to be here and had stockpiled my medication and they didnt care whatsoever baring in mind I already have a history of taking overdoses and suicide running in my family yet this does not matter to them. They tell you to contact crisis team if you need them but they no longer take me seriously either . I've no input for my eating disorder all I get is "there are healthier ways to lose weight" it's never been about my weight it's how i cope with stressful events but it's worrying that that was the go to for mental health professionals maybe reassessing their definition of eating disorders might help and infact I was even asked to do my own referralsAll I get told is that they don't want to see me back there again. They reckon primary care will be able to deal with things though I don't think they'd be able to deal with it if something was to actually happen and if asked in that situation all that would be said would be "we will reassess our policies and look into what happened and where they could improve" that will not save lives because lessons will never be learned and it will keep happening sadly this is why people reach out What good is a mental health team if they can't even be bothered to look after you . It's really gone down hill and now the patients are just numbers there are so many failings because they just dont want to do the job.
Crap rang twice mugged off by them…
Crap rang twice mugged off by them waste time don’t even bother with crisis team more chance get monkey dance then then doing they jobs, Like who hire these people don’t care olny care come to money I would no stars
Alot of crap
Recently had an appointment 19th of July 2023 at monkwearmouth with a Community nurse practitioner for talking therapy because I was denied via Sunderland Iapt service I wasn't offered any therapy or treatment from the crysis team they are so inadequate for not providing me with any help.
Crysis team inadequate
Accessed the crysis team for around 9 years they denied me access to a psychologist because they said my problems were to do with autism and deliver next to no care at all, I don't get enough time with my Community nurse practitioner for home visits making me feel inadequate overall I would not recommend the crysis team due to them advising other patients including myself why don't you have a cup of tea or a warm bath whilst in mental distress and or experiencing a mental health crysis if I would advice please call mental health matters helpline as a alternative to these crysis team pigs.
