Frustrating and Impossible to Reach Real Support

As soon as you need support — and mind you, as a paying customer (!) — it’s unbelievably difficult to get in touch with support! There is NO way to contact them by email; you can’t find an email address anywhere! Instead, there’s an AI support chat that’s dumb as a brick and even claims it will forward the chat to a support person, but then never actually does! You also can’t open a ticket through the AI chat because you’re not logged in — but that’s exactly the problem i have!!

This is obviously a scam site, they are using up my credits with intentional crashes, intentional code errrors, i have worked with sonnet 3.7 and chatgpt alot, i know when admins get greedy and blackmail their customers with their code and dishonesty, i am a paying customer that deserve better for my money. This thing is so evil it will go through your folders edit your actual backups so you cannot reverse file and have to pay them more credits to have the AI remember and remake stuff it created for you for days and deleted in a second to charge you AGAIN , BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paying customers deserve so much better

This review comes from a place of genuine disappointment and disillusionment.

Windsurf and Cascade represent an extremely exciting product — something that has the potential to democratize access to coding in a way that few tools can.

As a huge supporter of AI generally and AI-assisted code-gen specifically, I genuinely believe this is one of the most exciting platforms I've encountered in a long time.

But it puts me in the very strange position of feeling completely let down by a company I would otherwise really admire.

Currently, I have been unable to log into their IDE for over a week.

I opened multiple support tickets, only to quickly realize that the responses were fully automated (the 'gotcha' was sending a Loom that I realised that the bot wasn't expecting).

As a paying customer — someone who has maintained a subscription at the Pro tier for months and spent well beyond the base subscription adding flow credits — being essentially ignored is both unacceptable and disrespectful.

Other grievances include:

Frequent service outages.
Bugs and instability in core features.

There's also a glaring mismatch between the promotional image of the product and the frustrating daily experience of actually using it.

It’s confusing and frustrating to watch endless waves of social media hype while the real, day-to-day experience is broken and unsupported.

It’s rare that I feel motivated enough to write a review, especially a negative one.

But in this case, I feel it's important that users raise their voices.

This level of service is not acceptable or professional.

If Windsurf wants to be taken seriously as a platform, they owe it to their paying users to treat them with basic respect.

I will give it a last try

I will give it a last try. Its not a Scam but burns your credit.... On 22 They will refill the subscribt. Till now theres no New Payment Plan released. The only mail was there putting all members to the standart subscription. Very instransparent.... If its burning my credits like now i will look for cursor or something....

I didn't buy any subscription but been charged…

I didn't buy any subscription from this company, but I've been charged for around 70 or more transactions in just a few days, each about 14.90 euros. I contacted them several times, and they promised a refund, but then they disappeared and started ignoring me. It's really disappointing! I've reported this to the police and my card provider, but the level of ignorance from the company is unbelievable.

What is wrong with these stupid companys that cant even reset after a 60 fresh euro paid. that means i had to pay 72 euro to use the fu program again

Poor customer support

Poor customer support. I accidentally forgot to cancel my subscription, there was no notification or reminder—and was charged despite not having used any credits. I reached out twice with a polite refund request, explaining the situation, but never received a single reply. It feels like they’re intentionally ignoring, which is extremely unprofessional.

Save your money there is far better…

Save your money there is far better projects out there with far better results. Cascade is used even when you pick a different model, so i pay premium and select what i want and Cascade has the final say what Ai is used for the request lol, heavy restrictions are placed so you will fail and your project will fail when you ask the ai to complete a task when it needs context to do so. The customer support is nothing short of useless 0 out of 10. Don't trust me, select an Ai in windsurf and compare to a question posed directly to the Ai API, it feels like going from black and white to ultra HD, That difference is Cascade pretending to you to be the Ai you selected. Don't get me started on there throttling policy. Avoid there is so many options now using this is just a mistake.

I don't think it's a scam

I don't think it's a scam. In fact, when it's working it's almost miraculous how well it takes natural language and creates working code. I think the price is reasonable.

The problem is you get to a point where it creates random changes the just apologizes for it. And does it again. I've tried this on several projects and it's as if the AI knows when you're just polishing up and getting ready to call it done.

The app slows to a crawl.
Per advice online you start a new chat.
The problems start.
I had a new chat take a working, nearly done app, and before I could stop it - completely rewrite it with new assumptions and introducing all new bugs that it was incapable of fixing.

I've calculated that 70-80% of my time and tokens are spent chasing but never fixing bugs created by the agent.

Help is nonexistent. Not even a link for paying clients to get officially ignored.

It's too bad. If it could avoid this- I'd happily spend a lot of money here. As it is I feel like I've been robbed of my time, my satity (it deeply frustrating), and they get only a few bucks.

They obviously don't care about bad reviews.

Very poor customer support

Very poor customer support, non existant if anything!
After latest change my account has bugged out, and I wasn't able to use any of my purchased tokens. Contacting support, other than being told to restart the app and try to re-log was less than helpfull especially when there's many more cases like me on discord. Haven't heard back from them for the last 4 days. I will excersice my rights and get refund for tokens I am not available to use, and I would highly recommend everybody else to research for better service, there is a lot of better alternatives that actually have active customer support.

KI macht nur noch was sie will aber nicht was sie soll. Da helfen mir die 1000 Entschuldigungen nichts wenn mein Limit beim Pro Abo dennoch schrumpft ohne das ich ein Ergebniss hab. Windsurf ist wegen Lag kaum noch eine Hilfe. Spar ich mir nun das Geld und geb Deepseek eine Chance. Schade ich war so begeistert.

I have been giving clear instructions…

I have been giving clear instructions to create a repair logging system in my shop. I am not a programmer, I just have the ideas in my mind, at first it seems to generate things well. although it forgets features that I asked for, then I have to repeat them. but it starts to break things. If I ask it to modify something or create a new feature then it breaks something else. It is a vicious circle, I should have my application ready by now, but it is making me go around in circles between development and repair. It is making me spend credits. This is what this is about_ I have already tried it with different technologies, Python, js, java and it always makes the same mistakes. It starts to break and needs to be repaired, and when it fixes something it breaks something else, it does not maintain consistency with the entire project. I contacted customer service, no solution for my case. I'm not saying this isn't a good tool, just that it's not how they sell it. It's not for everyone. This isn't going to help you if you're not a programmer. You can create applications without code, that is, without entering lines of code, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't know what you're doing. This is still for programmers, not for people without knowledge like me.
