Do not, I repeat do not use this company. Shocking workmanship and never finished it off. Had to pay £1000 for someone else to make it right and they did it within a week. Took the first guys 2 weeks after the original date just to turn and do a shocking job!

Terrible service, took over 6 months for my drive to be 'finished' after calling them everyday to come back out and seal the drive. The imprint hasn't took in some places and now not even a year later there are cracks and chips all over. Spent thousands as its a large driveway, would advise everyone to stay clear. Tried contacting them with no success and since been told they've gone into liquidation and have set up another company. Trading standards are involved.

Do not touch this gary crowthers, got my drive done a few years ago, it cracked after approx 1 year, tried getting back intouch to be ignored

One star is too good for them! Drive cracked immediately…probably hasn’t been dug deep enough as weeds coming through the ‘joints’…trading standards has a massive file on them…£4k wasted!

One star is too many. Minus five would be nearer the mark. Enough has been said in the reviews posted already. Safe to say, do not go near any company that Gary Crowthers is associated with. Cleveland Driveways is the latest name he's trading under. 18 months later and I am still trying to fix something of the destruction he caused to my house. Nothing short of criminal. 😡

This company has not gone out of business! It’s now operating as Cleveland driveways in the Middlesbrough. If you look further afield concrete imprint driveways is still in business in York and Darlington and the 1 name that keeps on coming up as director is Gary crowthers!! They seem to be based at 73 dukes street Darlington not Wilson street Middlesbrough.

After reading the reviews lam so sorry for the losses to these poor customers. I can only say without being smug I listened to my gut instinct after signing a contract for works totalling over 4 grand and cancelled after a few sleepless nights and niggles they just didn't sit right with me and all the salesman patter.

This company has gone into liquidation, as expected.
The new company Cleveland Driveways will no doubt run until he’s stopped !
Trading Standards are heavily involved as is Cowgills the liquidators.
Let’s just hope he ends up getting his just deserts.
Looks like I’ve lost £7k though.

I wrote a review earlier about this company and have just found out that they have gone into liquidation (there's a surprise). Anyone who has a problem with them please contact Trading Standards if you have not already done so.
Gary Crowthers actually turned up at my house three weeks ago to repair the faults in the drive, but made a pig's ear of the repairs. They came back a week later when Gary Crowthers was on holiday to seal the patio, but they used matt instead of gloss and now it looks terrible!

Giving this compant 1 star is too much. Our drive was done in January ande we have had problems with it from the start. They came bzck to take photos of it and said it would need to be done again then said they could not get concfete and we would be feceiving a letter offering us compensation. Letter never arrived surprise surprise! We now have a driveway that looks like it was done 20 years ago and have problems with damp in the house due to them laying the concrete too high. Informed today that they have now gone into liquidation.

This company and staff are a total disgrace!
Please be aware that it is only a matter of time before they go into liquidation, change their company name (again!) and operate under another disguise. If you Google "Companies House" website, you will see how many times these companies are Incorporated and Dissolved by changing their name.
"Concrete Imprint Driveways" in Middlesbrough (Director Gary Michael Crowthers) laid our drive in June, and we have had trouble ever since. We have been waiting for someone to resolve the issues or come to an arrangement for compensation. What a terrible mess they have made of our drive.
The most serious issue of the job (and there are plenty) is that they have laid the concrete too high and there isn’t a four inch gap below the ventilation blocks on the front elevation of the house. Two separate builders have inspected the work and confirmed that this is a terrible unprofessional job which could cause future damp and flooding to our house!
They broke the doorstep, so decided to concrete right up to the height of the front door, probably to conceal it. Afterwards, we had a new oak door (fitted by a proper builder) but the water was leaking into the hall as the drive was too high. This caused the door to swell.
There was concrete in the sewage area under the drain cover, causing our toilet to not flush sufficiently. The sewage is now broken!
The drive has not been finished off properly where the new drive joins the main lane. It is all jagged and also has no raised edge to it (as agreed). In comparison of what we were told it would look like by Craig the salesman (with fancy photos from the website).
Another issue is that in parts, the imprint has not been pressed enough so some cobbles look totally different and flat to the other parts which have been done satisfactory and imprinted.
There are sections near the front door that are just completely flat and do not match the cobbles at all. It looks a mess.
There was also a drain cover missing, which we were told would be fitted in the next week.
One of their boards had been left in place on the ramp and needed taking off and finishing off.
We never had the drive sealed. We were told someone would be back in two weeks to do that.
After complaining to the company, Vicki Longstaff came out and agreed that the work was not satisfactory and she would have a meeting to see what could be done. Vicki and ourselves took photographs as evidence. Apart from one phone call after that, we never heard from her again!
Gary Michael Crowthers (company director) didn't even have the courtesy to speak to us on the phone. His website states “All work guaranteed” and “Quality at a glance” etc – what a joke!
There are a lot of people on TrustPilot who have experienced similar terrible service from this company.
We would also like to add that this company received £5,900.00 by bank transfer from us and specifically asked for us to transfer it to Gary Michael Crowthers’ personal bank account as he had problems with his company account, so we did unfortunately. Looking back, this money did not go through the company.
This is the worst company we have ever dealt with. We are now in contact with the company that is handling their latest “Liquidation” case!

Have had much the same experience with Company as everyone else. I wish I'd taken more time to check more reviews. Unable to contact them by any method, our drive not finished to our satisfaction with waste concrete left in what was meant to be a flower bed, gloss sealant used instead of Matt, where the expansion lines have been put in the edges are chipped and the concrete is showing underneath. I have noticed that the website is saying permanently closed and there is a new website. This is a cowboy outfit and everyone needs to keep well clear. I will be searching for the new website to leave a review to warn anyone thinking of using this Company.

Not even worth a 1 star I had mine laid last year May since then I’ve had excuses after excuses like the other reviews my drive is a disgrace I’ve seen a post about people in contact with each other and going to court this is my next step any advice really appreciate it

Got this Company to lay me a cobble effect courtyard last year, they sub-contracted to another company to do the work.
The sub contractors had to come back several times to put minor faults right.
Several months ago the driveway has started to collapse around one of the drain covers.
Contacted them and they said they would send someone out to examine fault, nobody turned up,gave excuse that the partner of the person attending had died.
I recontacted them and left numerous messages but nobody got back to me. Surpisingly I used a different mobile phone and somebody answered, again they said they would send somebody out.
Once again nobody turned up and now nobody answering phone.
They are obviously cowboys so avoid like the plague.
You have been warned!!!!

Contacted Concrete imprint driveways for a price on a drive. The guy who came out was friendly & knowledgeable. Dressed smart with his briefcase and had gift of the gab.
We had contacted several driveway companies, but decided on a concrete imprint instead of tarmac as we were told tarmac could chip after a while.
Anyway the guy showed us his folder full of brick drive ways and concrete imprint etc, we chose imprint.
The guys turned up a few weeks later at an agreed date, started digging the drive up. After 30 minutes the guy in the digger told me our neighbours driveway could be affected so I had to ask her if it was still OK to go ahead with ours. The guy in the digger told me he would try and put it back to the way it was but her drive was made of brick and he is NOT an EXPERT!! I said can you phone the office and get someone down here that is an expert because I don't want my neighbours driveway looking crap just because we are having ours done.
He then told me he is the owner so no point speaking to the office!!! His name is GARY CROWTHER.
I said what do you mean you are not an expert in laying brick driveways? why did your guy come around with his folder full of brick driveways and imprint. What If i'd chosen brick?!!
He said..I bet he talked you out of it though didn't he!!..
My instincts at this point were screaming at me to tell him to get lost, but he had already dug up most of my drive. 😭
It went downhill from that point.
He did the drive, we supplied him and about 4 guys with cups of tea all day as we are nice people. The guys were all pleasant. Unfortunately it started raining that day and our drive is on a slope downwards. They dug it up, laid it, waited around hoping the rain would stop. But continued to lay it anyway, by which time it was getting dark outside🤦‍♀️
They brought no big lamps and just before they did the imprint, the office called me to ask to pay the money all cash. We had asked to buy now pay over a period of time by the way, but talked out of it, as he said it would cost alot more, as in about another 3 to 4 thousand!!!
We paid him the money, which he then took off with to supposedly put it in the bank before it closed!
Anyway the imprint was done in the dark, they left the drive leaving a couple of bollards and a bit of sticky tape so no one would walk onto it. We had no way of leaving our house other than over a very high side wall.
They said they would be back in a month to seal it.
The drive after a few weeks was in a ridiculous state, it hadnt took properly because they did it in the rain.
Can't understand why they didn't leave it for a nice dry day but that sums this company up. Dont give a crap basically.
Had an awful phone call with the guy in the office, never spoke to such a disrespectful, unhelpful guy in all my life tbh.
Finally after phoning the guy who came to the house to quote us, and getting him to call Gary.. after calling Gary multiple times to come out and look at the state of our driveway, did Gary finally pick up the phone and call us back! He came over after another week, maybe 2 in his new flashy white range rover and agreed it needed doing again.
Don't think he came, probably said it was to do with the rain.
Finally did come, only said he was digging upto a certain point on our drive, so basically anything sloping downwards he dug back up.
Promised he would be able to make both bits of the drive look the same colour with the sealant.
Did a better job with the imprint second time around. The imprint the first time was sloppy and a mess as it was done in darkness.
Had to get him to write me a letter promising me he would actually come and do my drive a second time as we really didn't believe he would. The amount of phone calls we made, went to his office which I don't think is his office as no one is there ever. (I think he just gets some guy to answer with no manners and pretend he's in an office).
He said he was definately going to come and do the drive because he was sick of us and didnt want to be bothered with us again basically lol.
Whilst he was digging up the drive he cut through our WiFi connection, when I pulled him up about it they tried to say they didn't know anything about it. Then I asked them to show me the wire, tried again to say it was fine until I turned it around properly and he had cut through it with his digger! He had to get someone to come and fix it that day.
Waited 3 months because of the cold to get him to come and seal it.
Looked nice, he didn't take my artifical flower baskets down so the black sealant left them a mess and splashed it up my walls.
Then they came to powerwash it, kept using our hot water from the outside taps to do the drive twice in the first place and any times they came to powerwash. Wasted loads of water letting it run down the street.
Powerwashed paint off my brand new door too.
Drive isn't the same colour now,its cracked,sealant has chipped and Gary won't come to put it right! Disgusting!

Use with caution. Definitely do not pay any money until you are fully satisfied as once paid they disappear.

Our garden started off fantastic but once the job was almost done I made the mistake of paying and how regretted it since. That was 4th March. 16 weeks later and It seems I need find someone else to come and finish the job and start legal proceedings to regain some of the money.

Gary is no longer contactable and from our daily WhatsApp messages before and during the job now seems to have dropped off the face of the earth, I managed to arrange an appointment with a new receptionist but nobody turned up, then one afternoon they turned up for an hour and disappeared quickly after fixing a few bits bit are now gone in the wind.

1) areas of concrete not printed - was told they'd be back in a week to chip it away and reprint it

2) cracks in concrete - was told they'd be repaired and still haven't been over 3 months later

3) can't lock my gate due to lock not being fully fitted/fitted correctly - this was finally fixed after 3 months.

4) drain cover not fit correctly

5) fence panels buckling, I said I'd settle for a 3rd beam to fix this but not been done

6) artificial grass sunk and needs more sand

7) fence panels have holes in top which were meant to be filled and still havent

Craig will give you the cheapest quote.
Gary will give you the cheapest job.
After sales service is ZERO.
You'll be lucky if they even finish the job.
You get what you pay for.
These people were the CHEAPEST!

This firm laid imprinted concrete on the rear parking area and front pathways and steps of my bungalow. The work was completed in June 2020 and the contract provided a 12 month warranty. In March 2021 I noticed that the surface of the concrete in the rear and around the steps at the front is crumbling.
I have tried to contact Concrete Imprint Driveways by telephone email and letter. I have not had a response from them. I commented on posts on their Facebook page and was promised they would phone me the following day. This did not happen, so I commented again on their Facebook page. They blocked me and removed my comments. My wife posted on their Facebook page asking why I had been blocked and my posts removed. She has now been blocked
I would not recommend this firm to anyone. The standard of work is shoddy and their customer relations non-existent. If I could have given them zero stars I would have done so. NOTE: This company went into liquidation. The owner started a new business which has also been dissolved. The owner now operates as The Paving People Ltd be very careful if you decide to use them.

Excellent work I couldn’t fault this team from start to finish they did an amazing job of my back garden.
The aftercare was also amazing they came out and sealed my garden and I am ever so grateful for all there hard work.
Gary Crowther’s, James, Mark, Ash, & Dale what a brilliant job done.
I truly recommend Gary and his team of men to anyone
