Wow, novacustom is the real deal!

I wanted to have the operating system POP!_OS, and asked Wessel about it. He told me that he installed it for me, but that the keyboard backlight doesn't work, while it would in Ubuntu. I then send him a link with a possible solution for the backlight under POP!_OS, and he got it working! Shipping to Austria in a few days.

I wasn't satisfied with POP!_OS, so I installed Kubuntu instead. However, I had some issues with the WIFI driver, and asked Wessel about it. He immediately send me some possible solutions, and some additional tips on how to make the battery last longer etc. - and all that the material he sent me worked!

Now I'm running a Clevo 151ZU with Kubuntu 18, and although I can't tell you yet how the laptop performs under extensive workloads, I can assure you that the customer service is extraordinary!

I wanted a custom laptop - first of all, because I had some spare parts from a previous laptop and second, because it is easier to customize a machine before buying it then searching for something that can be customized later on.

I was struggling to decide between three models, so I asked a bunch of questions to help the decision. I always had valuable information from support, so finally I bought the machine.

Later I had some problems installing Win10 on it (it could not find some drivers during installation...), I contacted support again, got my answers, everything works fine.

Really fantastic laptop and service. Added to this, the person I dealt with knew what he was talking about and was fantastic to deal with.

Really, I can’t sing their praises enough and eight months later I am still an extremely happy customer!

It was a risky purchase for me because I actually live in South America, the computer had to be delivered to Italy at a location I was staying during my trip, and the store is based on The Netherlands. Glad I trusted the reviews and the no-nonsense look of the site. It's been more than two weeks since I've had the laptop, which works gorgeously fast and was built really well. It survived countless hours of transportation and several flights. For a person who's into computers, likes substance over style and the possibility to modify a product already of great quality, NovaCustom is highly recommended. You can even use PayPal. I'd definitely buy from them again.

Configured a high-end gaming laptop. Quick delivery and excellent quality! I absolutely love the minimalistic build - no unwanted logo/marks on the chassis and no extra programs installed. The instant-messaging customer service on the website was also very helpful. Absolutely nothing to complain.

I must say best people I have deal with. Very helpful and professional costumer service. Fast shipping of items and prices are also competitive. I would recommend them to anyone. 5* service.

I'll chime in the chorus regarding the excellence of the customer support, I fail to imagine how they could be any better.

There was some fuckup with UPS and I couldn't get hold of them to solve it, the support guy did, amongst other things.

As for the computer, I went for a plastic chassi and it obviously is a tad more plasticky than an aluminum dito. However, the hinges for the screen seem solid, the keys on the keyboard have a nice feel. Battery lasts 4h if doing nothing but stream video, 1h more than the 3h in the specs (when moving files around and downloading at 250mbit it plummeted to 1,5h from the increased energy consumtion).

Placed my order on a Thursday and had delivery the following monday, even after customizing every part :)

I am happy I came across this option when looking for a new laptop for music production. Normally, to get a desired amount of oomph in the memory and CPU department, one has to go for a gaming computer that also comes with an high end GPU. Being able to choose a GPU befitting one´s needs instead of having to dole out good money on something one doesn't is well nice.

Now, what is left to see is how this badboy stands the test of time :)

As someone already wrote, what shines of this shop, compared to the others, is the communication with the seller.
Before buying my notebook I've written with him at least 20 e-mails, asking for every single detail (that was important for me). After buying, I've had super fast support 2 times: when my battery wasn't working correctly; when I've asked help because my chassis went broken (by the way, the notebook is robust enough that after falling from almost 1,8 meter only the corner went destroyed but it still working flawless).
So, for who reads, trust NovaCustom: for the seller your a real person, not a number, and he always helps you to find what you need.

En dépit du fait qu'il s'agisse d'une entreprise néerlandaise, on répond aimablement à toutes vos questions éventuelles dans un français impeccable.
La compatibilité Linux est garantie (et vérifiée avant expédition !).
La machine que vous commandez est livrée paramétrée et personnalisée exactement comme vous le souhaitez (avec par exemple une version spécifique de Linux déjà installée, ou un 'dual boot' Linux/Windows, etc.).
À recommander chaudement, donc ! Ce genre de service est à des années-lumière de ce que vous proposent trop souvent les grandes firmes commerciales.

Excellent customization choices, both in hardware and software, going as far as installing two OS in dual boot.

The final product looks very solid, and thanks to the SSD is extremely fast.

Overall the prices might be slightly on the higher side, but the quality of both the PC and the service are undeniable.

The laptop was delivered quickly. Windows was installed without any of the unnecessary programs. So far I am very pleased with my purchase.

The excellent pre-sale and post-sale service are the most noteworthy. Compare with the big brands, where you don't know exactly what you're getting and can't ask questions. I could ask whatever I wanted and always got a serious and useful answer. In addition, I'm getting a three-year full warranty, so I'm good on service for the foreseeable future.

The notebook itself is gorgeous. Great keyboard, great screen, very fast machine. And it came with Windows and a lot of my favorite utilities pre-installed. And nothing else.

I honestly don't see a single reason why you should buy a Dell (my earlier go-to brand) if you can buy a NovaCustom.

I'm not the kind of person who write reviews of companies or products. The thought never crosses my mind. Let's be frank, a lot of companies are bureaucratic colossal automatons. Why bother?

They are usually refer you to some obscure part in a 200 page ToS, often impossible to make sense of even if you try it, rather than trying to help you. Since that's the norm smaller companies often try to emulate that boring behavior.

Well, this might be my first and only exception to my rule of not writing so called "product reviews".

So, I'm an inquisitive person. Before, as well as after and during, my purchase NovaCustom answered a myriad of questions I had and never brushed me off.

The product I bought proved to have a manufacturing defect. NovaCustom took care of that without any fuzz and with ease.

I live in a sort of remote location so sending and receiving the computer became a slight problem for me. This also got sorted out and NovaCustom proved to be very forthcoming about making alternative arrangements regarding this. From what I understood despite some extra work on their part.

I usually don't care too much about personal interaction with professionals; the "service-minded" personality. I doesn't hurt to talk to a polite person of course, but if they do their job I don't really care if they are polite or not.

And yet, that being the case I still want to stress that all interaction felt very natural and unforced. No sales pitches, no "buy 3 computers and get one for free"-BS, just normal, decent and human conversation.

I urge people to consider buying stuff from a smaller business like NovaCustom. In a world of corporate stream-lined environments all of the above felt really refreshing to me.

And I mean, you can get GNU/Linux installed by default if you want to. (You should). What's not to like about that?

Service and delivery 5 stars. Good communication, perfect sales and a very nice product receieved. Ubuntu preïnstalled with details and options as provided on checkout: fantastic!

The one thing keeping this from 5 star-rating is the built-in fingerprint-reader not being supported under Ubuntu. Not a big deal, but if this was communicated clearly on sales, it would certainly be 5/5.

Un servizio senz'altro consigliato! Era da una vita che volevo un sistema Linux. Con NovaCustom (configurelaptop.eu) potevo andare al sicuro sapendo che il hardware sarebbe compatibile. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è ottimo e sfido a chiunque a trovare le stesse spec ad un prezzo simile. Peraltro il portatile è arrivato velocissimo tramite UPS e mi hanno dato aggiornamenti sul ordine ad ogni passo.

Ik heb een zeer goede ervaring gehad met NovaCustom. De behulpzaamheid en klantvriendelijkheid zijn uitstekend. Met Wessel (de eigenaar) kan je rustig chatten via WhatsApp om je voorkeuren uit te leggen of vragen te stellen. Als je een probleem hebt staat hij paraat om te helpen. Ik zie niet in waarom ik ooit nog een laptop in de winkel zou kopen :)
