A Cautionary Tale About Kim Sang
I’m writing this with a heavy heart and a clear intention: to protect others who may be considering working with Kim Dang. My experience was not only disappointing — it was deeply disempowering and costly, both emotionally and financially.
I was promised a transformative experience with guaranteed results or a full refund if things didn’t work out. Trusting those assurances, I invested $17,000 and committed to the process wholeheartedly, following instructions to the best of my ability.
What wasn’t taken into account — and what I now see as a crucial blind spot in the coaching industry — is the impact of trauma and neurodiversity. I live with ADHD and was navigating significant emotional overwhelm at the time. My nervous system was in a trauma response, and I didn’t receive the compassionate, trauma-informed support I needed to succeed. Instead, I was met with rigid expectations and high-pressure deadlines that only compounded my distress.
When the results I was promised did not materialize, I requested the refund that had been verbally guaranteed during the sales call. At that point, I was met with a very different tone. The refund was denied, and I was referred to a contract that did not reflect the verbal agreements made. At one point, I was even told I had to complete an extensive task overnight to qualify for a refund — something that felt not only unreasonable but impossible given my state.
This experience illuminated something vital: business coaches must be trauma-informed. They must understand that building a business can bring up deep layers of fear, self-doubt, and past wounding. Without this understanding, coaching can do more harm than good.
In my honest opinion, the program I experienced was not worth the investment. Despite the shiny promises and talk of seven-figure success, the support I received did not match the price or the hype. I felt the focus was more on money than genuine service or human connection.
I would never recommend working with Kim Dang. If you are someone who values integrity, heart-centered mentorship, and real support — especially if you have unique needs or past trauma — I urge you to look elsewhere.
