Promises lost phone “ found “ Small fee to reveal location, but then adds a 50 USD annual subscription. Fortunately, for me, PayPal are clearly aware of this company and managed to cancel and get a refund. Beware …

No information provided. No warning of sign up or info on cancelling. I paid by Visa so instantly cancelled my card after reading reviews here. Charge quoted as .89 cents but actually billed $1.33. They even replied to my question about why response was taking so long & they apologised!!!
cooltracker Rip off
Hope Trustpilot will allow a star rating of sub1 in future.
No service given by cooltracker.net.
Time taken. Money taken and returned, (thanks to PayPal policy).
Thanks to the people of Trustpilot (and Trustpilot) I was made aware of a small stamp on the PayPal page that said something like 'Part payment' half way down the left hand side of the PayPal screen.
Guessing from the other Trustpilot posts, I should have expected another charge of $50-$70, tomorrow.
FOUND NOTHING! Charged Everything!
FOUND NOTHING! CHARGED EVERYTHING!
I went to this website to try to find my car that I let a friend borrow. The whole website only said pay $.89. Well.....yeah, for THAT transaction that day. I had an inkling that I should check my account. It was charged from a HONG KONG COMPANY and it charged me $.89 for that one transaction and scheduled for tomorrow, was a transaction for $69.98. No warning, no information or permission!!
I sure am glad I used PAYPAL!!
Total scammers
Total scammers. I am from AU and they sending me my phone’s location in USA. I want my money back
Scam site
Scam site, did not track, charged for giving nothing, then charged $70 for unwanted monthly subscription
If I could no stars I would.
If I could no stars I would.
A service that didn't work. I paid for a one day pass so I could find my father who has early onset dementia....and apparently he was in the USA!!! We are in Devon, UK.
The very next day I'm billed for just under $50. When I try to get a refund they refuse to honour a 100% refund because apparently they explicitly state that unless a subscription is cancelled they will need 30 days to honour the refund. This happened in July, we are now in September nearly 60 days later and still no refund.
In an attempt to get this sorted I tried to email them and it bounced back. So I went onto their website and clicked their contact button and wrote an email explaining the situation and got an automated reply directing me to a website called "tryhelp". What a [insert swear word here] joke! The only way to contact them is via an AI which regurgitates the 30 day policy or an immediate 50% refund...even though I've already waited 60 days - and had no contact by the way. I then wanted to speak to a human and got given a gmail address for "vip" help. I then get the same automated email I got when I tried to contact them again.
it is a scam
it is a scam, does not even work on phones that are not even lost
Scam
I previously wrote a review about this "service". A lot has happened since then. I since emailed them and asked them what the 40 something pounds was for and was given either very vague/generic emails or emails they've copied and pasted from previous emails. After a closer look it looks like the pictures they've attached to their profiles are in actual fact stock images. Such a scam and i don't know how this company is still in service
Scam
cooltracker.net is a scam. After paying 9.99php, (way cheap i guessed), of course, you will have to wait for messages for the location, since there was none, you will have to report an error. That is when you will be given a link to click tryhelp.vip for process how to unsubscribe with the name Sophia Smith. That is 499php! Since cooltracker is autodebited from my gcash, the tryhelp.vip also is subsequently auto debited! Now, I don't know how to unsubscribe. Scammers.
As others have said...total con!
As others have said, the site is a scam.
It is not clear at all that a subscription has been taken out...who would lose their phone so often that they would need such a thing anyway?
Complaints seem to be responded to via some chatbot. I very much doubt that the names on the bottom of the responses (Sophia Smith and Zoey Zuo) even exist
When I did find my phone, no texts have been sent to it so there wasn't any attempt to find the phone by anyone.
It was a sponsored ad by Google as well!
Took $50 but didn’t find the phone:scam
They did not find the phone.
The website said they did but left it with “pending”
They took $.89 instantly without being clear that they would take another $49 exactly 24 hours later on subscription.
It’s a scam.
SCAM SCAM SCAM
I have had a negative experience with this company, which I believe operates solely to defraud customers. Initially, I was charged $0.89 to access their site, followed by a monthly deduction of $49.80 without any prior notification. Upon discovering these unauthorized charges, I reported them to my bank, which has initiated an investigation. Subsequently, I received an email from "cooltracker.net," offering only a virtual machine for communication, rather than a live agent to address my concerns. Consequently, I am convinced that this company's practices are fraudulent.
Scam Scam Scam The site will tell you…
Scam Scam Scam!!! The site will tell you its found your phone and then ask to pay. When you pay it then says its sent an sms to your phone, NOT Found it! They then say when someone finds the phone and reads the sms and calls back they can locate it. MY PHONE IS LOCKED!! no one can read my sms or makes calls, I then immediately cancel the site by email and a month later its starts taking more money out of my card! SCAMMERS!!!
SCAM!
SCAM!! SCAM!!! SCAM!!!!
DO NOT TOUCH THIS SITE!!!
Before you even start, 'I' can tell you where your lost phone is!!
Regardless of where you lost it, It is in WASHINGTON DC!
The phone i tried to locate was accidently left in Belfast on Monday 18th August '24
I tried to locate it that night and unfortunately used this site. It was NOT at all evident once i created an account that there was a monthly subscription of almost £40 charged if you do not cancel within TWENTY FOUR hours!!
I never click on anything that requires a subscription. These guys are masters in deceit.
Upon realising that almost £40 was taken from my bank, i contacted the company immediately. Obviously no personal contact, only automated chat. I typed in "cancel subscription" and immediately got a msg saying "subscription cancelled. Confirmation email sent."
I did receive confirmation via email but DO NOT trust this company to continue stealing further withdrawals.
I can only hope that i can now initiate a despute claim through my bank, but i'm not at all confident that i will succeed.
Will also be reporting this company to our local trading standards office with the hope that their trading certificate will be rebuked.
I am a pensioner and £40 for me is a lot of money, however the deceit and dishonesty is the most painful part.
RIPOFFS
Problem is... given the situation youve probably already panic purchased like I did to quicklly locate your phone.... and now realised youve been scammed as well.... Karma eventually finds these people

tried cool tracker to find my sons phone when he lost it. it cost $0.89, so I thought that was reasonable. the next day, I got a charge for $49.80. apparently the website is a monthly subscription, and since I didn't cancel during the 1 day trial period, they charged me again.
first of all, the tracker didn't even work the first time. second, I know I was in a hurry and didn't read the entire website before signing up, but there was no mention of it being a subscription (that was easy to see) when I was entering. the phrase "subscription", "trial period", "additional charges" etc were not included.
DO NOT RECOMEND!!
This merchant is a fraud
This merchant is a fraud, like everyone here attested. My own, they took £119.73 from my account within a week without my permission.
I have reported the matter.
