Cornish Hampers and Gifts Opiniones 

Ordered for a special birthday on a Tuesday morning. Company dispatched right away, DPD let them down by not delivering next day, and actually not delivering until Thursday afternoon at 1430.

Despite emailing the company multiple times, I didn’t get a satisfactory response even though Charlotte promised to get back to me, that never happened. Sent a subsequent email advising the order arrived too late for the party it was meant for - they’ve just stopped responding.

So £34 wasted on scones and cream that had to be sourced locally, last minute elsewhere.

Don’t want to blame the company but they need to manage DHL and sort this out, because it’s their reputation that suffers, not DHL and at this stage I won’t use them again nor will I recommend.

29/09 - Update to the original review.

I'm updating this to be fully transparent. Having received an email on 23/09 at 0852, I didn't have any further updates in my inbox. This morning, I discovered that all the subsequent emails from this company had been classified by Microsoft as spam and delivered to Junk.

They have explained the item was collected at 5pm, geographically as I'm at the other end of the country (although still in a major city) it seems unlikely that it was ever going to arrive next day. It would have been helpful had it arrived before 12, because it could have then still be used. I appreciate their explanation, and that they have moved away from Royal Mail (a wise decision) but I do think DHL did still let them down here.

In summary, If ordering, check that you have enough time for the item to arrive based on your location in the country. As i said, I am not blaming the company because they processed and prepared the order right away. The postcode checker should reflect if you can realistically expect to receive delivery or not next day - if you live close to them then I'm sure it will arrive.

They have offered to replace the perishable items for me as a kind gesture of goodwill.

Delivered exactly on time for my friend's birthday. He was delighted with the gift and said everything was excellent. For me it was great value for money and to know it was enjoyed...even better

Makes a lovely gift, I just wish I had chosen to book the delivery date for the day BEFORE my nan's birthday, because the cream tea gift actually arrived the day after the date I had selected for delivery when I placed the order online the week before. When I provided feedback about the delay, the company acknowledged that changes were going to be made to further improve the delivery side / ordering online side of things going forward- so hopefully similar issues will be even less likely.

Amazing!! Couldn’t recommend these guys enough! The cream teas are delicious, the scones are so soft and fluffy. The pasties taste incredible! Full of flavour. The perfect little taste of Cornwall wrapped in a beautifully designed Cornish box delivered to your door! The deluxe hamper is next on my list. Thank you guys. The perfect gift!

We have ordered these hampers numberous times now, the turn around time is exceptionally quick and the contents are absolutely great. It is our go to for our orders now. Also great value for the money.

Pasty Cream Tea for 2 ordered as a gift for me but we were away on holiday. Not the company's fault obviously but there is a clear message on the box saying "Do not return to the sorting office". What was the postman supposed to do then? When I collected the box 3 days later, the pasties were already mouldy and I read later that they claim the food stays fresh for 5 days - no it doesn't.
I completed the online contact form and just had about 3 standard bounce back emails saying they will be in touch but I've heard nothing at all.
We were left very disappointed that a supposed lovely gift was so poor and a waste of money.

I ordered a hamper on 1st August for delivery on 4th. Whilst the quality was good, the jam was completely different from that advertised and seemingly of lesser quality. I immediately wrote to the company and had several identical standard emails to say the matter was being attended to and I would get a reply in 48 hours. Unfortunately, there has been no response and even the holding emails have now dried up. They may be a small company but customer service still matters.

I ordered from this company as it is a family business and offered a quality service, but not true!
I did not receive a despatch confirmation so could not track it. The order arrived a day late, as a result it must have been stuck in the sorting office. The clotted cream was lukewarm warm at best and the freezer pack defrosted. The biscuits smashed and the package battered. Most of it can be down to the carrier, but I have e-mailed the company twice, and you receive an automated response, but no one bothers to get back in touch.
I certainly would not use them again or recommended them to anyone else, there are plenty of companies out there that offer a decent service and interested in their customers.

Since leaving this review, Ryan the owner of the company has reached out to me and explained issues they were having with their website and they were not receiving emails, as mentioned the main issues were to do with the carrier and I have now had a chance to share them with the company. It is good to see the company play an active part in trying to resolve and reach out to reviews.

Let down twice. First time to use this service and an absolute let down for a friend in need.

Had a little hiccup with my Fathers Day Hamper. Received a personal call from the owners who gave me a detailed explanation on what went wrong. The situation was quickly rectified and the missing items from the hamper was sent to my Dad. Included in the package was some extra Cornish goodies, and what impressed me more, was the personal note of apology. I will definitely use this company again and will recommend to family and friends.

Ordered a father's day gift. Had a minor hiccup, but this was rectified without hesitation, very satisfactorily. Very polite and friendly bunch wanting to make their customers happy. Contents very much enjoyed by my Dad. Would definitely use again.

Ordered the Father's day hamper. Delivery arrived on time but with some slight damage to the contents (Royal mail rough handling!)
But Sellers communication was superb when they found out. A replacement hamper was sent within days with some extra goodies inside. The Scones and Cornish pasties were excellent quality and absolutely delicious.
