Hi everyone! I am 5 days PO Brachioplasty with Dr Karlis Verdins. I am still here in Riga until Wednesday as requested by Cosmetic Surgery Riga for length of stay.

From my first contact I have felt like a person, not just a pay cheque which was amazing, compared to other places I had researched. First tick! ✔️

I was contacted by Tania, the UK and Ireland coordinator, she was very lovely, didnt mind answering my many questions, no matter how silly they may have sounded! Trust me...shes likely heard worse! She insists on a phone call with you also which is fab vs just an email or message.
All arrangements were made, with written agreements and contracts, I had everything confirmed and didnt need to worry about a thing.

Arrived at the airport in Riga, my transfer was waiting for me and delivered me to the hotel safely.

Hotel, The Wellton Riga hotel & spa, very clean, very friendly helpful staff, all speak good english. Even had issue with mums mobility scooter due to the cobbles and their maintenance man kindly and happily helped to provide a fix for it! Breakfast is ok, enough on offer for us (Bariatric Bypass Patients so dont eat much but enough on offer)

Liel, the Riga Coordinator is so lovely, she communicates with you before you arrive, gives upto date times of plans for meeting and collecting to go to hospital. She assists with the paperwork and makes everything run like clockwork. Ive had a message daily from her to check in on me, and I know she would be there if I needed any help!

Hospital/clinic - very clean, had my own room with fridge, tv, wardrobe, comfy bed. On arrival, did pre op tests, for me was ECG, Chest Xray and blood tests. All staff friendly and attentive.
One thing that was the only downside was the hospital food... no choices, get what your given, and it wasnt very nice, my advise - take some snacks with you from supermarket. They dont let you go hungry but its not the most palatable.
If you, like me are a coffee drinker, take coffee and milk in with you as milk is not readily available and tea is only provided.

Surgeon - Karlis Verdins...what an amazing man! Very friendly, very people orientated and your safety is paramount to him. He was honest with me to give me true expectations for my results from surgery. I will be returning to him for my next surgery for sure!

I returned to the hospital this morning for my first dressing change and to see my arms for the first time and wow... I can tell the scar lines are going to be great already!

I fly home in 2 days, and feel confident I will heal as expected and if I need to contact the surgeon, Liel will be on hand to make it happen 😀

Sadly my experience resulted in me being hospitalised on my return to the UK. My wounds were so necrotic, smelly and pouring with fluid within 5 days. Treatment in the UK followed for six months. I’m left with horrendous scarring.
Staff from Cosmetic Surgery Riga in the UK were excellent pre surgery however as things went badly wrong they didn’t want to know and actually blocked me. All they had to do was take responsibility for the “Butcher” they sent me to.

I had a tummy tuck with cosmetic surgery Riga and I am over the moon with my results!! The care I received while in their care was absolutely incredible!! I can’t say one bad word. Tania and Liel have been amazing, always at the end of the phone if I had any questions. They are a credit to the company.
I felt so comfortable going to Riga for my surgery because I also had weight loss surgery back in September 2020, the care I had then was amazing so I had no doubts! After loosing over 8 stone I had a lot of loose skin on my tummy. Waking up and seeing what the surgeon Kārlis Vērdiņš, has managed to do to my tummy was incredible and I had a lot of happy tears! I can’t thank him enough, it’s given me so much more confidence now and completed my journey.
