County Fabrics is one of Scotland’s largest independent fabric retailers, specialising in sourcing discontinued designer fabrics at a fraction of the original price. In store we also have an extensive fabric library over 300 designer books from brands including Linwood, Sanderson, Iliv, Romo. In 2024 we introduced County Designs, our interior design service with Interior Designer Sarah Clapperton. We’re all about making a house a home and enjoy collaborating with our clients to achieve their vision, from a single room refresh to a whole house or commercial project. For fabrics, curtains or other soft furnishings, please pop in to meet the team and view our vast selection of fabrics in stock. We are open Tuesday -Saturday 10am - 5pm. Appointments outside these hours are available. We provide a complete made-to-measure service and can send fabrics or made-up items anywhere in the world! In addition, we can measure and fit within Scotland. Est. in 1984, County Fabrics is located in a historic old Watermill in Crook of Devon near Kinross. We are often asked why Crook of Devon? The answer is that we can be easily accessed from anywhere in Central Scotland. Many of our highland-based customers visit when travelling south to Perth, Edinburgh or Glasgow. Our regular in-store customers visit us easily from Fife, Lothians, Clackmannan, Perthshire, Stirlingshire, Glasgow etc. Of course, if you can’t make it to the shop you can browse & buy many of our fabrics online.

Sample ordered but not suitable for my needs
Only ordered a sample which arrived in a week, but completely different colour as shown on website, not even similar. Also it was upholstery fabric and I need curtain fabric. Not at all clear on website. So sorry but disappointed not to be able to order this fabric. Lovely fabric if I needed to upholstery a chair.

A gorgeous selection of fabrics - lovely quality, with predicable and speedy delivery. When I had a question/issue, the customer service team were so quick and friendly to help answer. Have already placed several orders and will continue to do so

They have a very wide range of fabrics in their lovely shop. Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and provided excellent guidance on tracks, curtain headers and lining combinations. Communication was excellent after the order was placed. The curtains arrived on schedule. They are well made, fit beautifully and look gorgeous. Will definitely use this lovely company again.

Online convenience perfect
I have visited this fab shop in a few occasions and bought various beautiful fabrics. I wasn’t able to get to shop in this instance and was able to order what I was looking for online. Order was dealt with promptly and received within a few days
