My family and I were having a really difficult time finding a house until we finally found our new home through Cousins Estate Agents.

As first-time buyers and immigrants, we didn’t fully understand the whole process, but everyone at the agency made us feel very welcome and supported from the beginning.

Unfortunately, our purchase took much longer than expected due to delays with our solicitors, and that’s when Tom and Michael really stepped in. I genuinely don’t think we would have managed to complete the purchase without their help. Even though they were technically acting on behalf of the sellers, they went above and beyond, constantly chasing our solicitors and doing everything they could to keep the purchase moving forward and get us to completion.

I can’t thank Tom, Michael and the whole team enough for their support throughout such a stressful process. I would highly recommend Cousins Estate Agents, especially to first-time buyers.

Good personal, friendly service, fast moving.

The lady who answers the phone never wants to actually do her job. Always complaining about irrelevant things. Whenever you phone and she answers she just so happens to be in the middle of an emergency and can’t do anything right now. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. They need to let her go.

I would strongly caution anyone dealing with Cousins Estate Agents, particularly with probate property.

In our case, a property forming part of an estate (with two executors) was marketed, listed online, a sale board was put up outside the property and access granted for measurements and photographs based solely on the instruction of one executor.

At no stage was the second executor contacted to verify consent, despite the agent later acknowledging they were aware there was a co-executor. This is a fundamental issue when dealing with estate property where authority should be confirmed before any marketing takes place.

The property was fully listed on major platforms, so this was not preliminary discussion but active marketing. Activity only stopped once the issue was raised.

When asked to clarify the basis of their authority, responses were vague and did not directly address whether any signed instruction had been obtained.

Overall, a concerning lack of due diligence and communication in handling a probate matter.

The branch manager, Thomas Mullen, was outstanding from the very beginning right through to completion. His professionalism, knowledge, and dedication truly stood out. He made the entire process feel smooth and well-managed, always keeping me informed and reassured at every stage.

Thomas was proactive, approachable, and clearly experienced, which gave me great confidence throughout the sale. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and his communication was consistently excellent.

Cannot praise Cousins enough for their kindness and professionalism during the complicated recent purchase of my daughter’s flat. They answered all our calls and queries with unfailing patience, dealt calmly with our moments of frustration and despair ( I mentioned that it was a complicated process) and generally kept us in the picture and reasonably sane throughout the whole procedure. Michael in particular went above and beyond what I would normally expect of an estate agent, always getting back to us immediately when we had questions, but the whole team were extremely friendly and helpful.

Houses are advertised as 'chain free' when they know this is not the case.

From the beginning of starting the sale process, their professionalism and speed, I cannot praise Cousins estate agent enough. We informed them that we need a quick sale, and we had 2 offers within 2 weeks. Plus, they managed to arrange multiple viewings over a short period of time.

My experience with Cousins has been fantastic. I’ve felt supported and listened to throughout the sale of my house. We couldn’t have asked for a better estate agent.

Excellent and friendly advice and help. Cousins know the area very well and are straightforward and clear. They are professionals on both sales and renting (I have used them for both) and know both the law and what is good practice. They have a network of people able to fix problems at very reasonable cost which gives landlords peace of mind. Buyers and sellers will get a fair price. I would recommend them highly.

I have been renting out a property through this agency for a while now and they are amazing. Great customer service & superb communication throughout the whole renting period. Any issues that we had with the property (i.e issue with boiler, or broken tap in a bathroom) were dealt with almost immediately. Sean has been our main point of contact at Cousins and he was always very professional and super helpful.

I recently ended up my contract after 2 years with this agency, we had a constant support when needed during those two years. Cousins helped me sell a property I felt was not really sellable. They were realistic, kept me well informed and got me a buyer within a really short period,. Being not that long widowed and feeling vulnerable they were always courteous and helpful. Thank you to the whole team but of course especially you Thomas, for putting up with me so professionally!! ( I've had to put a later date in it it wont let me go back to 2022!)
