RIP OFF

This needs to be investigated and shut down. There is no way to cancel subscriptions through sellers. The seller directs you to email them or cancel through Cratejoy, however when you go to the Cratejoy site to cancel, no subscriptions are listed to even cancel. Next thing you know you have big charge for a subscription you didn't want. Don't do it. Not to mention- what was originally bought as a trial was not worth it at all!!!

UPDATE:
To be fair to seller even though not mentioned I was able to contact them and did get a full refund and cancellation of the item. However, I still maintain that Cratejoy, as a market platform, absolutely should not exist.

Rip off book box subscription

I subscribed to Down the Rabbit Hole Book Box March 2024.It is supposed to be a monthly box. So far I have received one box. I paid for a six month subscription and am now out $300.00+ I have contacted Cratejoy about this, and was told to contact the seller about the problem. I have contacted the seller several times, and never received a reply from them. Of course, the cost of the subscription has already been charged and paid from my bank account. I am not sure what to do next. I suppose I could ask for a refund, but I would rather have my subscription. Please advise. I have other subscriptions from Cratejoy with no problem, but this DTRH subscription seems like a scam, especially since it is so expensive and I have paid in full ($300.00+) up front. I would caution others not to buy this subscription. It is a rip-off.

I ordered a subscription from Cratejoy. I got 2 months delivered over 5 months. During that time I tried to contact Cratejoy to help in which they told me to get with the seller. In using their "contact seller" process, I never got a response from the seller. I finally requested a refund. Cratejoy gave me the refund, but shorted me 2 months. At that time Cratejoy basically said argue it with my bank. Really? I sent the complaint to BBB and they ignored them as well. You can see Cratejoy as a company doesn't care about their consumer. They play the 3rd party innocence and collect money from all. As the middleman in this relationship they should take ownership of their sellers. If you get a good seller shouldn't be a problem. You get a seller who doesn't care, Good Luck!

"Let's Paint Together" frustrated

I received the "let's paint together" subscription as a gift. Every month there is an issue. The first month I had to email Cratejoy for instructions to find the tutorial for my stamped tote bag. Not exactly painting in my book but it was cute. Your box isn't shipped from Cratejoy, it comes from Pop Shop America. Had a 2 month gap before the next box arrived. "Thank you for your patience while we were moving". Third box, no tutorial posted until 3 days after the box arrived and I had emailed about it. Auto reply to emaillsays they will answer within 24 hours. Nope. No reply to my email, but they did post a very short tutorial. Sentences like "mix to a nice consistency" are not very helpful. Over two weeks ago I received the "your package has shipped email", but my package wasn't received by the USPS shipping site until after I emailed about it, again with no email reply. I received the 4th box today. Guess what...there's no tutorial.

No support even for impersonation

Someone created a seller account in my name, and I now see fraudulent transactions associated with my email address. I am working to get it shut down, but have no way to reach customer support. I will be pursuing all available avenues to get this nipped, but beware of Cratejoy if you ever wind up in this situation.

Ordered Throttle box for my son for…

Ordered Throttle box for my son for Christmas paid $157.00 for 3 months and only received one box I have contacted the seller and Cratejoy and nothing has been resolved I received an email saying they saw I didn’t receive my boxes but they closed the ticket anyhow!! Seller won’t even respond to my messages Very dissatisfied!! Don’t buy it’s a scam!

Paid for a 3 months book subscription…

Paid for a 3 months book subscription and only received books for 1 month. You must reach out to the seller for help. Well I couldn't find the seller and they took the item down. I still have my order number and receipt, reached out to Cratejoy customer service 3x over 3 months. No reply. What a scam.

Been using cratejoy for years

Been using cratejoy for years. It's easy to use, easy to manage all the gifts and personal subscriptions I have going. If you pay attention and keep up with what your subscriptions say, you shouldn't ever have an issue. Awesome centralization of boxes!

I’ve used CrateJoy 4 times now as gifts. Love the options available. A few times I’ve had to contact the seller but have had good prompt responses through the CrateJoy site.

I really enjoy Cratejoy!

I really enjoy Cratejoy!! I can browse through so many different subscription boxes. So many that I would never even know existed if it wasn’t for Cratejoy! Plus everything is in one place. So if I decide to stop or start a subscription I can do it all on one website. It’s so easy! Thank you, Cratejoy!

Unique Variety

This site has such a variety of options, it made holiday gift giving extra unique! I was also able to edit the shipping addresses for each gift and got notified when it was on the way to them. Really fun way to share the experience from a distance.

I've been playing a series of crates, 'Escape the Crate,' that has two themes. One theme is figuring out the puzzles in the crate and the other 'overall theme' - 'defeat the bad guy.' I have thought of buying one of the cooking crates for my teenage nephew who is interested in cooking. It may give him a toe in the door for something new.

I've had lots of good luck with Crate joy. Presents I've sent- baking cookie kits- have been well received. My only suggestion is to not make orders auto renewed when you first place the order.
