We exchanged 190 emails throughout the customization process and remained actively involved in addressing the customer’s requests. For #C1209, we provided two rounds of custom metal legs at no additional cost. After the customer was still not satisfied, we discussed the design further and proceeded with a third custom version based on the updated requirements. For this third version, we only charged $90 to cover part of the material loss associated with remaking the custom legs.
For #C1202, the customer ordered a 72-inch round table with very specific requirements regarding the placement of the wood and resin. The customer requested that the wood remain within approximately 40% of the central area of the tabletop, with the surrounding 60% finished in transparent gray resin. After completing the tabletop according to these specifications, we began working on the standard table-leg configuration.
The customer then requested that there be no connection points or support structures within the 60% resin area. Because the stability and safety of the finished table are our highest priorities, we repeatedly recommended our reinforced metal-leg design at no additional cost and explained why it would provide a safer and more stable solution. However, the customer chose not to proceed with that option.
The customer subsequently requested our TL-20 luxury table-leg design, valued at $1,580, which would require substantial additional materials and customization. We offered to cover $600 of the cost, leaving $980 for the customer to cover, but the customer did not wish to proceed under those terms.
