A very horrendous experience and I absolutely would not under any circumstances recommend Cruise Compete. I chose cruise compete to get bids for an upcoming cruise and I received a bid from a company called cruiser travels. The agent at cruiser travels assured me that I was purchasing insurance from something new that would allow me to cancel for any reason and would cover pre-existing conditions with a refund.
I went to cancel this cruise on April 15 contacted AON and was told that I would definitely not get a refund. I could only get a future cruise. Canceled because I was concerned because my adult son who was a cancer survivor with one kidney and issues with blood clotting was having some problems and we wanted to cancel.
I have been on more than 28 cruises and I am a captains club elite member and I have never ever had an issue with insurance that would not cover pre-existing conditions. I reached out to the CEO of this company Bob Levenstein, who sent this over to the travel agency and I submitted forms to AON and I did get a letter today stating that they would not refund the money because it was a pre-existing condition.
I essentially got a letter back from The cruisers travels manager Jeremy and a copy went to Bob. Levenstein telling me it essentially was my tough luck.
Under no circumstances what I do business with cruise compete because Bob Levenstein was not willing to reach out to assist with a company that says that they sent me in writing something explaining that it would not cover pre-existing conditions
I never received anything like that and they said that they did have recordings and I have asked to hear them, but nobody is coming forward
I would say to you to not use this company because the CEO Bob Levenstein does not help you when there is an issue with one of the companies that he has on his website
