Whenever I need equipment for a photo shoot, CSI is always the first place I look. Their staff is incredibly helpful, accommodating, and responsive. They will answer all of your questions and have been extremely helpful in making sure I have everything I need to make my shoot run smoothly. Can't recommend them enough.

Tripod arm gear is so stripped that tilting the camera up and down is impossible. Besides that everything works great but not being able to use the tripod to tilt the camera is very frustrating.

I was thinking rent some photographic equipment for my still life shoots at Holiday occasion. But I can't take my off days on this time and I cancelled!

When I got to set I found out the 100mm lens I wanted to use was broken. I rented a new one at CSI. When I got back to set the lens they had given me was also broken. It was a very worn out lens. I should have checked it when I picked it up. More important, they should have checked the lens. My shoot was delayed because of this. I had to go all the way back to swap out the lens and was not given a discount.

Definitely wouldn’t recommend. They wanted a security deposit for the amount of the lens ($2,000) for a one day rental.

The services provided by CSI Rentals made my project needs easy. As a first-time customer, I was satisfied by the company's services. The customer service was sharp and the rental policies were easy to understand.

The equipments were in mint-like condition (just how I like it). The Brooklyn location was clean and COVID-19 policies were still in effect. However, just like their equipment, the location was clean and safe to enter.

My only dislikes are (a) all the equipments are tagged with CSI rental decals/stickers/barcodes. (b) The delivery option is way too expensive. (c) Their pricing is competitive, but still on the high-end.

To all those who plan to rent equipment from CSI, please read the policy on your agreement before checking out. You're given a document to sign, and at that point you should ask questions and check your equipment before leaving the location.

I'm very satisfied with their services. And I will be back. Although the Brooklyn location is a journey from my home in Queens, it was worth renting equipment from this company because they provided exactly what I needed.

Disgusting that a person has to wait over a month for a bathroom plug to be replaced at Featherbrook Hills retirement village. Emails and calls to Angelique do not even get a reply! Should we get our own plumber out and deduct it from the rent??? We even have a ticket number :(

Communication is always great, and quick. I always appreciate CSI's timely response.

I’ve been coming to CSI for years and the team has always made me feel like family. However, this time (1/29/21) their service really stood out, especially from Elizabeth at the BK location. They went above and beyond, and I’m super grateful.

I did not have a good experince with CSI. When I called the store I was greeted by an attitude and told just to go to the website.The website did not work. I continued to get a prompt "disallowed charaters" anytime I searched for something.
I then tried calling up to either get help with the website or place the order and continued to recieve an attitude with little or no help. It was a fustrating and difficult process to rent from CSI.

Payment process was way too difficult using a credit card for a simply transaction.

At competitive rates, always get the gear I need and look for. From the online reservation, payment, curb side (safe and quite precautious protocol) pick up, a quick and expedite process, even for returning. Always a good option for rentals.

Both of the light stands that came with the Profoto B1 Kit were broken. One of the stands was missing the screw that secures the legs into place, and the same screw on the other stand was bent so badly it wouldn't work. Luckily our shoot location was close to CSI and they let us switch the stands out for some better ones.

Also one of the medium strip softboxes had a hole in it where the wire part goes (so it was sticking out at the front of the softbox). I didn't notice this until we had already switched out the stands.

If you rent from here make sure your equipment looks good before taking it!

Also, I'm not sure if this is a problem with the equipment itself, but the B1 heads were going through batteries ridiculously fast. I was having to switch batteries ~every 10 minutes. Again, this may have nothing to do with CSI.

Customer service was helpful and easy to deal with.

I’ve been renting all my equipment at csi for write some time and they always provide me with great customer service and they always recommend me And help me with my equipment. The rental prices are very reasonable.
