Please read this before getting scammed by daals

Don't be fooled by their FAKE five star reviews every second hour.
Do not buy from Daals. This is by far the worst retail experience I have ever had.

The delivery service was unacceptable, the product quality was extremely poor, and the returns process and customer service were handled in an aggressive and unprofessional manner.

I purchased a bedside table and a chest of drawers for £730. The items arrived after three weeks, and the two delivery drivers left everything on the ground floor, refusing to carry the boxes upstairs. They stated this was “ground floor delivery only” and told me to “read the website.” I was left to carry three very heavy boxes upstairs by myself.
Upon opening the bedside table, I immediately noticed that the colour looked nothing like the photos online. Despite this, I initially decided to keep it to avoid the hassle of returning it. However, once assembled, there were large gaps between the drawers and the frame, with the sliding rails clearly visible. This is not acceptable for furniture at this price point.
I sent photos and videos clearly showing the issue, but Daals refused to acknowledge it as a fault, claiming that this is “how it should look.” I then requested a return, but was told I had to organise and pay for the return myself, and that they would not provide a return label—even though the item was clearly defective.
I was forced to transport the item back to Coventry in my own car. It has now been 13 days since the return, and despite multiple follow-up emails, I still have not received my refund. I have been told the product “needs to be inspected for damage,” which is unreasonable given the clear evidence already provided.
This company’s behaviour is unacceptable. Daals appear far more interested in avoiding responsibility than supporting their customers. I strongly advise others to avoid purchasing from Daals. they are an absolute liars and scammers.

Deceptive business practices

- Shipping took 17 days rather than 3-8 days claimed on the website
- Customer support, while polite, was entirely unhelpful and available only via email (no phone number to call)
- Return policy requires 25% fee, even if the advertized service was not rendered by daals
- Several furniture parts were damaged/chipped
- While prices are on par, quality is far below and assembly duration far exceeds that of Wayfair, IKEA, or Nathan James

No customer service- I have a duplicate…

No customer service- I have a duplicate order and within hours I communicated to cancel the duplicate. I was told the item was canceled and two days later I get an email saying the order could not be canceled. Do not order anything from this company! Its an expensive gamble at best.

5 Star Quality - 1 Star Customer Service

The furniture is good quality - the pictures were accurate and I really do like the piece I purchased.

HOWEVER it showed up with one piece severely damaged (I could not build past step 12) and I am on Day 9 of dealing with the most incompetent customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. I am 90% sure it is all AI and I have sent MULTIPLE photos of the damaged piece, the packaging, the batch number, the shipping label, etc. just stating "hey ship me this piece please" and I still have no answer. We have gone back and forth 6 times and they just keep saying "we are currently seeking guidance with the relevant team".

I am fed up and feel like a Karen even leaving this review but for $1000 I expect them to remedy this issue by replying to my original e-mail with "okay no problem - piece is on the way!".

Do not trust

To give you the short and sweet, the wait time is astronomical and restock fees are 25% on top of that.They do not have customer service phone numbers.They will not honor anything that they promise on their website.

Multiple emails later.. no couch, no delivery. No cancelation

Poor quality control and customer service


Upon putting a $179 coffee table together it broke. We did not use force or a hammer as the directions suggested to be safe. When placing the top on to the dowels of the base, the dowels shot through the top. I reached out to customer service via email (chat is not an option for US customers and there is no number to talk to a person) and was told since it was not a transit issue they could not do anything and was suggested to use a third party to repair. I then reached out to their business chat on Facebook and was told the same thing and only offered an apology with no actual resolve. I even asked if it is possible to get a replacement top to purchase and this also was not option.

The coffee table top clearly had a quality control issue if it was not able to withstand just being placed on the dowels for installation and needs to be replaced. It is not acceptable to be told since it happened during assembly it cannot be fixed. We had to put it together…it is not our fault the top could not withstand the directions for assembly.

Customer service is non existent. Once it leaves their facility you are on your own and their customer service is basically a grievance line with no solutions - they offer apologies and that is it. I also had to ask four times the status of the other piece I ordered before someone actually addressed that issue. There was a shipping delay and the other piece I purchased and it was I limbo for 11 days. This could be a fedex issue and I’m told Daals is investigating but just another example of disappointment. It ended up being lost and I was refunded. But I’m still out $179 for a broke coffee tables, $59 in shipping and taxes.

For the price I paid it’s incredibly frustrating to have a piece of furniture I cannot use because of damage that was outside of my control and then have my other item

The worst retailer I have ever purchased from!

Daals review

Beware! This company does not follow their own return policy. Before I order from a company I have never used I do make sure to read what they have stated in the event there are problems.

I ordered 4 chairs from them and all 4 had defects on the back. The upholstery was not pulled tight and had visible waves in it. They are located in the UK so it takes 24 hrs to receive a response from them. I sent a picture of the first chair I pulled out which ended up being the worst one. They responded asking for a picture of each chair which I unboxed and sent. They then asked me to send pictures of all 4 chairs in one picture which I did. They responded saying they determined the defects were “normal” for the product and I was still able to return the product but I would need to pay for the return myself (to the UK) and there would be a 25% restocking fee. This is the process they have stated for someone who has changed their mind. Their process for a return for a product that has issues does not state this. The chairs cost $450, the 25% restocking fee is $112.50, and if I am lucky, each box of two chairs will cost at least $350 ($700 for both). Pretty sure they know any customer in the US is not going to pay double what they paid to send the product back so why would it matter if they followed their own policy or not. I am stuck with them and they know this.

There is also no customer service number. My final response was to ask for a number to speak to a live person. Good luck to me!

Beware if there are any issues with your order

We received our bed timely but it was missing the slats. It’s been 2 months after reporting the issue and we still haven’t received the missing pieces. Customer support seems nice but there’s no transparency on the issue and it requires a lot of chasing and follow up to get any information. There’s no customer support phone number. I’ll update this review if we ever receive the missing slats.

Daals SUCKS!!!
I bought 4 items worth $1400; when I ordered, they said it would be delivered within 8 days.
8 days later, with no updates, I reached out to ask for one. Thats what the nightmare really started.
Over several days, it took a lot of back & forth for them to finally tell me that 2 of the items were out of stock and not available FOR ANOTHER 2 MONTHS. They told me I could pick 2 replacements but guess what; none of that was in stock either!
Meanwhile, I kept asking them to send the other 2 in stock items which they kept ignoring. Finally, they told me that they could NOT ship me even the in stock items because that would incur them more shipping fees.

TLDR: their US customer service is painfully slow. They purposely evade questions to stall for time. They are not transparent AT ALL. They will sell you items they don't even have and then expect you to pay the price for more shipping due to their supply chain issues!

Now I'm in a home with no furniture... thanks Daals!!!

Unfinished Furniture

I purchased a dining room table for nearly $900, and while the design is beautiful, the quality of the finish is shockingly poor. The tabletop arrived with only a very light oil/wax treatment (which was never mentioned in the product description). Within days of normal use:
• A simple wipe with a clean cloth removed some of the finish.
• food that got on the table while eating left a permanent stain on the surface despite being cleaned immediately.

This is marketed as a dining table, but it is completely impractical for dining unless the buyer spends additional time and money applying their own protective finish. For the price, I expected a durable, sealed surface that could withstand normal family use.

I reached out to customer service and was told I could “apply more wax or varnish myself.” For a $900 table, I shouldn’t have to finish it at home just to make it functional. I’ve gone back and forth with them and they refuse to help me or offer any sort of refund.

If you’re buying their dining furniture as a showpiece and don’t plan on actually eating at it, you may be happy. But if you need a real, usable dining table, be prepared for a frustrating experience.

They sent me a a chair with a broken leg and did not accept the return as they don’t accept “damaged products”.
Basically I paid for a chair that can’t be used and their solution was for me to look for someone in my area to fix it.

Shady Company! Avoid at all costs!!!

Received a chair with nicks, scratches and a giant crack in the wood. They refused to acknowledge they were defects and would not accept a full return. Only a change of mind return where I pay the shipping costs and a 25% restocking fee. Shady company all around, they deleted my review on their website and delete all negative comments on social media. I reached out there a few days ago and saw so many negative comments. I went back today and they’re all gone. They claimed they sent me a DM but they did not. Lots of lies a deceit.

The delivery company were extremely rude on the way to delivering our order of more than £4,000 in goods. When they finally arrived, they dumped all of the boxes (some on the public path) in the pouring rain and left. I would never buy from this company again.

Unwilling to Assist Their Customers With Large Purchases

Wanted to purchase 9 pieces of furniture from Daals for just over $3K. No discount codes seemed available online so I contacted their customer service team multiple times about getting a first time buyer discount code and/or a U.S. military discount code (my husband is retired U.S. Army (Vietnam)) and they outright refused to work with me on either of them without discussion. Horrible service especially given the terrible reviews of the quality of their furniture at the prices they charge.

HORRENDOUS experience

HORRENDOUS experience. The table came chipped and not the color we expected and they are making us pay $350+ for a return label and pay a 25% restocking fee which is around $150. So we are out $500+ and the table came CHIPPED!!!! Customer service doesn't care at all and seems to copy and paste from a script. PLEASE AVOID COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

DONT BUY. Horrible customer service - we received a damaged item and the company has taken to accountability or provided any timely support. We’ve been sleeping on the floor for 2 weeks because they sent us a broken bed and refuse to tell us when a replacement part is coming. STEER CLEAR.

DO NOT BUY furniture from this company

Do NOT buy furniture from this company. Worst products and customer service ever. They respond to your emails and say they'll get back to you but they never do. Not a single employee ever got back to me as promised.
They have the worst delivery company (METRO) handling their products and they force you (not them) to communicate with the delivery company that never responds. After they extorted me for an additional $150 to hold my furniture in storage (which I did not request or want), I finally got the product (two months later). It was not what I expected at all. This furniture is beyond poor quality and built for someone no taller than 4 feet. The sofa sits VERY LOW to the ground. If you enjoy sitting on a toilet, you might like this furniture (although a standard toilet sits 2 inches taller than this sofa). And there is black Velcro on every cushion so they can't be interchanged or flipped if necessary. Do yourself a favor and shop at Jennifer Taylor, West Elm, Wayfair, or Birch Lane (all of which I've bought from and loved). All have better quality, lower prices, and superior customer service.

I ordered a chest from them a month ago…

I ordered a chest from them a month ago and still arguing with their customer service. The chest has a obvious misalignment between panels, skewed deco raffia over the drawers, peeling off drawers, and two of the handles are missing! I recorded videos and took pictures as they requested, and they replied that they think those things fall into their "manufacturing tolerance". On the top of that, they reply one email per day if you are lucky. They also indicated they won't accept a return without the original packaging, but the delivery guy took away the empty box when they left!! The whole thing looks like a scam and I'm considering report it to related department...don't trust the reviews on their website!
