To save money
To save money, I originally planned to handle everything myself. After asking two friends to review my novel, I assumed most of the mistakes had already been found. I was wrong.
I hired Dan Brown Publishing Press for Book Formatting and Proofreading services. The proofreader found several small issues that none of us had caught especially in dialogue sections. The formatting side was useful too because I had copies chapters from different files over the years, which created inconsistencies I didn’t even realize were there. Looking back it was one of the final steps that prevented a lot of avoidable reader complaints.
