absolutely irresponsible service. I've been a customer for years and bought so many things on their platforms. but recently one of my packages is delayed at this point at close to 2 and a half months and still not delivered. the chat support is absolutely useless with no real resolution. they always doll out the same canned responses like "we promise you sir, this will never happen again, lets us improve" but it never gets solved. I've decided to stop buying anything again on daraz again.

I have requested 3 items to return/refund, causes the items not fit in me to use. 2nd may requested. 9th may collected items by driver, same night 2 items were updated in the app. Since its a weekend I called Rathnapura hub on Next Monday and ask why only 2 items updated, then they told me updating by Colombo QC department only. I have called customer service and informed this then they make a complaint. Yet complain simply closed as resolved emailing me item did get by colombo qc yet. I reopen the case and reply to the email its not resolve issue is still the same. Then by the time my return request also got canceled because it took so long. Then I called again and informed I already handed over the items, receiving to your qc department is your internal thing, i need refund for the item or if you are not refunding return the item to me. Now today is 5th June they do not resolve the case or no a single call. Worst 2nd level complain management have no practice of calling to the client when they are handling the case. Worst company i ve ever deal with , they are robbers, they theft money of the client. No responsibility at all. For their internal issue customers need to bear the loss? What kind of a company?

It took over 6 weeks to deliver an item from Colombo to hikkaduwa, so many promises were made then broken. Eventually the courier lied and said the item was rejected because n delivery and now Daraz tell me my refund will take up to 17 days as the published 5-7 days not starts 10 days after rejection so the item can reach the seller. Pretty sure they must be going bust if they are playing games to delay refunds. Classic cash flow panic.

Absolute Nightmare: Daraz Protects Scammers and Rejects Fraud Victims!
This is not my first terrible experience with Daraz, but it is by far the worst and most dangerous one yet. I am writing this to warn every single consumer to stay far away from this platform.
I ordered a health supplement from a seller on Daraz who was posing as a highly reputable company. When the package arrived, the bottle looked correct on the outside, but upon opening it, the actual product inside was completely wrong and clearly counterfeit. Because this is a health supplement, consuming fake products poses a severe health risk.
I immediately contacted the official, genuine supplement company directly. They explicitly confirmed to me that this Daraz seller is a known scammer fraudulently posing as them, and they have already filed official complaints against them.
Armed with definitive proof and every single detail of this fraud, I initiated a return request with Daraz. Shockingly, Daraz completely rejected my return, claiming that I somehow violated their return policy! Instead of helping a defrauded customer, they actively shielded the scammer and left me to bear the financial loss for a dangerous, counterfeit item.
To make matters worse, Daraz continues to keep this fraudulent seller active on their platform. They are fully aware of the scam, yet they take absolutely zero action against the fraudster, allowing them to keep scamming innocent people. Daraz clearly cares more about keeping scam commissions than ensuring customer safety and integrity.
Unethical, unsafe, and completely unaccountable. Avoid Daraz at all costs!

My delivery supposed to be arrived on 28th feb. However it kept postponing due to their team keep cancelling the complaints i placed. After months, it got cancelled in the app. On April 28th i received the refund. However they charged back the same amount from my account few days later. Not sure how they can do that. One of the worst delivery experiences I have had. My parcel is stuck in Daraz logistics Kurunegala , and the rider phone number shown in the tracking status is invalid. Because of this, I cannot contact the driver at all to arrange delivery.
There is no proper support, no accurate contact details, and no clear communication. The customer is completely left helpless while the parcel is delayed without any solution.
This level of poor coordination and unreliable system is unacceptable. Serious improvements are needed in their delivery and logistics process in Sri Lanka.

Multiple issues. The most recent one is them adding an extra handling fee on cash on delivery payments. I mean like what on earth are u handling? Dude are u freaking serious? U charged for the delivery already. Y do u need a seperate handling fee? Fore counting the bills? Whether the amount is lil or big it doesn’t matter. Really it’s damn unfair to add such a charge just cuz the order is cash on delivery.

This is absolute garbage service. My product return still hasn’t been picked up even after more than two months. First, they claimed I was “not reachable,” which is completely false. I never received a single call or any attempt to contact me.
All they do is keep creating complaints, then some random person “reviews” it and closes the case saying it will be resolved quickly. Nothing ever gets fixed. The same issue just keeps repeating over and over again.
They gave me the option to schedule a pickup, but clearly they’re not actually providing the service. At this point, it feels like they’ve either run out of time to handle it or simply don’t want to deal with it. Instead, they just keep opening new complaints and trapping me in this endless loop with zero resolution.
What’s even worse is that they have no problem delivering products, but when it comes to returns, suddenly they can’t provide the service at all, even after I selected the return pickup option.
This is beyond frustrating and it’s completely unacceptable.

It seems DARAZ Sri Lanka's delivery system has collapsed beyond recovery. Orders have been delayed almost during the past one year or so. Now they send a automated message saying "Sorry for the delay! We are trying to get your package to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!"

This website is a complete scam. I ordered groceries from them once when I was in Dubai, and at that time I actually received the items. But after I came back to Sri Lanka, it has been almost 20 days and there is still no proper service or response.
Honestly, it’s not entirely their fault — it’s our mistake too. They are making money by taking advantage of our laziness and trust in online services.
Please stop using this website and ignore them completely. Do not waste your money here.

I am extremely disappointed with this service. I have been waiting for my order for 5 days, and each time I contact support, I am told it will arrive “today” or “tomorrow,” but nothing has been delivered so far.
I reached out to customer care, and they assured me it would be delivered today, yet I didn’t receive any call or update from the delivery person. When I followed up again, I was asked to file a complaint and wait another 3 days for a response.
This kind of delay and lack of proper communication is very frustrating. I expected much better service.

I am extremely disappointed with Daraz Sri Lanka. This is honestly the worst online shopping experience I have ever had, and I have used shopping apps in several countries before.
I faced serious issues with three different orders:

My first big order was placed on 16th March 2026. Shortly after placing the order, I suddenly had an unexpected SIM issue and my phone number became inactive. This was not intentional at all. As soon as I noticed the problem, I contacted Daraz customer service immediately to update my contact number.
But Daraz kept saying it is impossible to change the phone number, impossible to update delivery details, and impossible to help in any way. They only kept repeating the same thing: wait and contact the courier. If they had advised me to cancel the order early, I would have tried, but they never suggested a proper solution.
The biggest problem is Daraz’s system itself. Daraz does not allow adding an alternative contact number. They only allow one phone number, and if that number becomes inactive, the entire delivery fails and the customer is left helpless.
When tracking was updated, I contacted the courier services myself. Only one courier service managed to deliver my package by contacting my active number. But the rest of the packages were returned without delivery because the couriers could not reach me. Most courier services did not even properly try to contact me. The result is: my packages were returned while I was waiting for days.
Now I am waiting for returns and refunds, and this whole process is extremely frustrating.
Customer service was the worst part. I contacted Daraz repeatedly through live chat and calls. I spoke with three customer agents, and none of them solved the issue. What shocked me is that some agents actually declined my calls without resolving anything, and I have proof of it. Two agents were extremely rude and unprofessional.
Another unbelievable issue is how carelessly Daraz handles complaints. I raised a complaint for the first order (especially regarding an overseas item). After discussing the issue with an agent, I later received a reply saying the package has already been delivered, which was completely incorrect and honestly ridiculous. It felt like they did not properly check the details and simply gave an automated or careless response without reviewing the full order status.
It looks like they only check basic tracking or a general status instead of investigating the real situation.
Even after this horrible experience, I still trusted Daraz and placed two more orders, thinking the phone number issue was the only reason. But those orders are also delayed. The estimated delivery dates keep changing, and nothing is moving. The delivery date has already passed.
Another major issue is that Daraz shows different information in different places. The app gives one estimated delivery timeline, and the email gives another. The system even says “sorry for the delay,” but Daraz agents still keep repeating their own timeline without giving real clarity.
One of my orders included groceries and overseas items. Daraz delayed the entire order based on the overseas delivery timeline. This makes no sense because grocery items (like cheese) should not be delayed for weeks just because overseas items are included in the same order.
Overall, Daraz is unreliable, stressful, and their system is poorly designed. Their customer service is useless when an exception happens. Customers are completely helpless.
By the end of all this, after wasting so many days, calls, chats, and effort, I felt completely drained and emotionally exhausted. This experience was genuinely overwhelming.
I strongly do NOT recommend Daraz Sri Lanka

I am writing this to express my extreme frustration and disappointment with Daraz. I have placed four different orders and made the full payment upfront, yet I haven't received a single item. It has been over two weeks now.
The tracking shows that the items have already arrived at the local hub/branch, but they are not being delivered. The promised delivery dates have long passed. When I contact their customer support, I only get the same repetitive, irresponsible answer: "It will come soon."
This is absolutely unacceptable. They take your money and then fail to provide the service. Dealing with Daraz has become a total waste of time and energy. If you value your money and peace of mind, stay away from this platform. Their delivery system and reliability are at zero level!
