Fake advert and stolen photos/design from StillWhite and Flora Bridal

I’ve never bought a dress from this company but a StillWhite user informed me that my dress I was advertising for second hand sale was on their website. These are my photos of my dress made my Flora Bridal, not this company. They have no permission to use these photos and it is not their dress. It’s a design by Flora Bridal. I informed them via email over a year ago and it’s still online. (Google Darius Cordell “fully beaded sheath style wedding gown with open back and spaghetti straps). Totally fake advert

Darius Cordell dresses fit like a glove!

I made a point to give them extra time for my formal dress that I needed for an event. So I don’t need to do a rush order. My dress came in plenty of time and fit perfectly the first time I put it on. Thank you to the Darius Cordell team for a fabulous custom dress. Looking forward to getting another one for my next event.

Worst experience

Worst experience. Never received my wedding dress (wedding was over a week and a half ago) and the customer service was awful. They were rude, disrespectful, and entirely unhelpful.

UPDATE to their response below. I was upfront with them on when my wear date was and expressed concerns it would not be done in time, however, Darius Cordell reassured me they could do a rush order and have it to me in one month. I paid almost $500 extra to have it rushed. It it not my fault if they can’t hold up their end of the deal. If they believed they couldn’t make my dress in the timeline provided they never should have accepted the order. It is not my responsibility to know what they are capable of doing. That is there’s but they refuse to take any kind of accountability. … again I have email documentation from them reassuring me that they could make the dress in the timeframe provided.

Not only is it common knowledge but it is fully disclosed on our website at https://www.dariuscordell.com/questions/ that the normal production time (with just about all in our industry) to create a custom wedding gown is “APPROXIMATELY” 6-9 Months.

We also disclose there on our website that while Rush Orders are possible they are not recommended if they can be avoided.

With that information you made the decision to place a last minute Rush Order (for your wedding) on August 19.

All the while knowing your wear date was right around the corner on October 12.

It is unfortunate you refuse to accept these facts and instead wish to be disgruntled and make bogus & frivolous claims that we are "rude", "disrespectful".....and "unhelpful".

BUYERS BEWARE

UPDATE 3/9/24:

The only reply from this vendor is to beware of me bc I paid the entire balance before they shipped a poorly made dress 1 month too late. All this vendor does is state their merchandise credit policy but with no communication from 1/23/24 to 2/22/24 obviously they had zero intention of honoring that policy. The only response I received after I received a dress (not the agreed upon design) was remove your complaint to the BBB.

This vendor spends more time responding to my reviews and BBB complaint rather than trying to rectify the situation. Not once have they addressed zero response to the emails and calls when the dress never showed up between 1/23/24 and 2/22/24.

I will simply provide a timeline so you can decide if this company is reputable

12/11/23 - initial contact via email requesting custom dress based off a particular dress online and short timeframe
12/12/23 - email back that my VM was unclear then a call from a man telling me to send all requests via email form - he would not answer questions on the phone
12/12/23 - 12/14/23 - after numerous emails regarding timeframe (dress needed for 1/27/24 wear date but 1/20/24 arrival in event alterations were needed) and dress design I sent deposit
12/15/23 - email that deposit didn’t reflect upcharge for custom dress so additional amount requested.
12/17/23 - 12/20/23 - after numerous emails regarding details additional deposit amount sent
12/21/23 - measurements sent
1/2/24 - email checking on progress and confirming crystals will be in tulle skirt. Response “noted”
1/13/24 - email checking progress with reminder of wear date and request for a photo of dress
1/15/24 - email that dress almost ready for shipping and request for remaining balance. No photo
1/15/24 - balance sent and email asking for arrival date
1/17/24 - email thanking me for final payment and shipping info to be sent when available. Did not address my request for photo or concerns that wear date is 1/27/24
1/20/24-1/22/24 - multiple calls made and VM left.
1/22/24 - email that wear date is in 5 days and I needed dress prior to wear date in case any alterations were needed.
1/23/24 - email response that shipping will be provided once they hear back from the factory - what this is the first I’m hearing a factory is making my custom gown and not being done in house.
1/23/24 - 1/25/24 - multiple emails stating I needed the dress and how unprofessional it is not to contact me regarding my rush order not being here in time. ZERO RESPONSE
2/22/24 - YES FEBRUARY A MONTH LATER. I receive a box (approx. 8x10x4) with this $3000 gown crumbled and stuffed in the USPS priority box (date sent 2/20/24). I immediately emailed my dissatisfaction with specific details not included yet ordered and paid for as a custom order. I expected no response as they did not respond to my last emails from December.
2/23/24 - complaint filed with the BBB at 9:17am
2/23/24 - email response from Darius fashions at 2:49pm stating I hastily made a claim with BBB and it should be removed immediately. THATS IT!! No response to the details and photos provided to BBB. I immediately responded that over a month late in receiving “a dress” not “my dress” is not hasty. I have not heard back and not only did they denied my request for a refund they didn’t address the late arrival, poorly packed dress or ask what exactly I was unhappy about.

It is unfortunate the consumer does not like the custom product they ordered - last minute on a rush admittingly allowing barely 30 days for production.

However, all of our disclosures were given to the consumer prior to them submitting their late order. With those disclosures in mind the consumer still chose to place a last minute Rush Order (during the holiday season) for a very beaded garment to arrive in less than normal time.

It should be understood that it was well disclosed (upfront) on our COMMON QUESTIONS page of our website at https://www.dariuscordell.com/questions/ (when you click on Timing) that the quickest Rush Order could take "approximately" 1 month - for the average garment (i.e one that is not extremely beaded nor overly intricate). It is also well disclosed there (when you click on Returns) that there is "No refund on custom items" - "Merchandise Credit Only". Very simple concept.

It was also well disclosed on the ORDER FORM AGREEMENT (that the consumer agreed to & signed) that "Made to order items can be returned for correction or replacement". Note it also well disclosed on that same document that "Because the specialty products are custom made to order and are specific to the client all monies received (including deposits & partial payments) are non-refundable – merchandise credit only". Again, a very simple concept.

It is shameful (but also very telling) that the consumer chose to start a rant and could not simply abide by the terms & conditions they agreed to upfront.

Fraudulent Business Experience!

Note- my review has been verified because I submitted the appropriate legal and binding documentation to support my review.

Fraudulent Business Experience!! BEWARE!

I first reached out to this business at the end of December 2021. I advised them of my wedding date 8/5/22. I wanted a custom wedding dress. The business assured me they could make the dress and quoted me a deposit. I made the deposit of $500 on Jan 3. 2022. On January 31, 2022 I made another deposit of $483.48 for my Mothers dress. I also made another $500 deposit on my wedding dress. I checked in March 20 to follow-up on status. I was reminded about the timeframe in their policy. I never received an further information. In May I received an email stating my dresses were almost done and final payment was needed prior to shipping. Over $2000 sent on 5/23. On 6/9 I checked in for an update. No informative response. On 6/27 I checked in again. No informative response. On 7/12 I checked in again to get a definitive answer on the status. On 7/14 I left a message on the "business phone vm" I received no call back and no response. I also followed up with an email. On 7/18 I received a response advising me to read the previous email regarding policy and a tracking number would be provided as soon as available. On 7/26 I reached out again. It was 9 days before my wedding and no dress. The only response I received on 7/28/22 was just a tracking number. No explanation, no reasoning, no compassion. On 7/29 I received 1 pkg. It had 1 dress for my Mother. NO WEDDING DRESS! Her dress was 2 sizes too small. On 7/29 I sent another email stating I received 1 dress and inquiring about my wedding dress. No response from business. On 8/4, the day before my wedding , I reached out again to voice my disappointment and request a full refund no dress and the dress that was finally sent 6 days before my wedding was not what I paid for. On 8/7 I received a response stating I allowed less than 7 mo for a custom dress and the dress that was sent was a standard size I requested. I had to pay for 2 custom items to be made 6 days before my wedding. Phone # is just a vm. All Fraud!
No wedding dress received as agreed upon when I paid a deposit. No proper updates. No compassion for the customer. Service is awful. No direct communication.

To clarify what you wrote, you actually received 1 of the products you ordered from a company - but not the 2nd product. And you therefore deem that company as “fraudulent”…..

Note, some may determine posting such a legally slanderous review…..anonymously as “Queen Spice”….. would be considered fraudulent, but nevertheless.

As a company who has been in business since 1996 and sold thousands of garments to women all over the globe, we normally make it a point to never spend time responding to post or reviews that are anonymous. But as a sign of good faith we will make a few points for readers to consider.

Again, you claim you actually received one of the products you ordered but it did not fit. One should be able to measurement a garment and cross reference those measurements with the size chart they ordered from to see if they are the same. Since no proof was provided supporting your claim we are willing to bet you did not measure your garment. The measurements of the garment probably did match with what you ordered. And sadly the wearer was simply larger than the size you ordered. It is unfortunate you all ordered the wrong size. But your mistake in choosing the incorrect size does not make the company you ordered from “fraudulent”.

You claim you did not receive the second product you order. We cant be for certain why that is since you are anonymous. But we are pretty certain if you did not receive one of the products you ordered (from any company) it is probably because there was an issue with your account or you still had a balance that was unpaid – hence why that product was not shipped.

In any case, once you update your quite compassionate & questionable review to actually reflect your actual buyer name (with actual facts) we can then provide more details to your specific order. Until then it should be well noted this review such as it was is quite slanderous which is probably why it was done anonymously to try and avoid legal prosecution.

Worst experience ever, go elsewhere!

***update: paid the rush fee, your process states that the product arrives on time to try on and take to local tailor if additional alterations are needed. You fail to mention you want to charge me over $1000 (after I paid the "final invoice sent to me and after complaining online) in retaliation charging for your "time" for the emails of your vicious rant, being rude to me after asking a question about the invoice and a status update. I will see you in court.***

Not normally one to trash a business but I have to share this nightmare... Go elsewhere and don't refer anyone here to Darius Cordell : Custom Wedding Dresses and Evening Gowns

I ordered a quinceañera dress for my daughter as she had a specific dress she wanted replicated. The ordering process went well; however, I received an email over a month ago and everything went down hill. The email I received was requesting the payment of the balance in order to finalize the quality check process and ship it to me. I had a couple of questions about the invoice, so I emailed back before processing the payment and a rep replied in a very rude manner. I paid the invoice on 8/6 just wanting to get the dress, but had a back and forth with this rude representative. A month passed and I still had no dress or shipping info, so I reached out a couple of times until the rep. replied to look at a previous email that basically just says that the dress will be shipped shortly after the payment for the balance is made. I reached out again telling him that I need an actual status update because it was already over a month since my payment and never heard back. I tried reaching out via contact form on the website, text, email, and phone and nothing. Being desperate with less than a month to the event, I went to the physical location listed on their website and they are no longer there! The person at the front desk gave me another address for them and they are not there either, then I found another address online and not there. I emailed the place once more to tell them I will take legal action if I don't get answers today, but nothing. I tried calling and somebody kept picking up and hanging up the phone and then blocked me. I called from my mom's phone and they blocked me again. They are the worst company I have ever dealt wit. I still don't have the dress, no answers, no shipping info, and at this point I will take legal action to get my money back since I can't continue waiting. Avoid this company at all costs! I will post if I have updates after today.

Your review is not accurate nor does it include pertinent information. For example, you failed to mention you placed a last minute Rush Order (which cost extra for that service) on MAY 10 for a product that was to be used for the first time on OCTOBER 9 with the understanding that normal production time is approximately 6-9 months. The truth is you simply became extremely impatient with the rush order you placed and then hastily began your rant prematurely on September 13. You also failed to mention that prior to that date you still had a balance on your account for merchandise & services. Per the document you signed, once the final balance on your account is actually paid in full we will gladly ship the rush order product. Note today is September 27……..
