Didn't deal with a legal insurance claim. Found them dismissive and not willing to do anything to help. Also quite abrupt in correspondence terms.

I was contacted within a few hours of my phone call and spoken to by someone who had obviously read my initial enquiry properly and understood my position well.
The advice given was helpful and I was also told one or two things I could try to make sure I had exhausted all possibilities. I am very pleased with the outcome and glad that a service like this can inform me of my legal rights and give me confidence in tackling the problem faced.

I was a little nervous to call DAS and talk about legal procedures but they were really friendly, supportive and reassuring - and knowledgeable!

I was impressed with DAS Law and its response and how quickly they took my call and arranged a solicitor Tom Eastman to handle my employment issue with great advice and reassured me about how to deal with the matter. I recommend paying for legal advice, as you never know when you need help.
The templates are really helpful to help with your letters.

On the positive side your legal advisors have been very patient, and have always rung in the time frame that was requested. Also if it was not for an efficient helpful person in the call back centre we would never have been able to submit the online form; which was part of a problem with a claim we tried to make last year about the same tenant.
One the negative side
1. The online form is problematic for two reasons it will not register unless you complete in less than 20 minutes and there is a problem uploading documents. This slowed the start of the claim.
2. The first request for information from the claim assessment team did not include all the documents that were ultimately required, so the assessment was delayed again by a second request for information.
3. There were multiple requests for some documents despite acknowledgement of their previous receipt.
4. No template for rent schedule was sent at the time of the original request. Our schedule was very similar to the DAS template, but it was unacceptable. If the format is so inflexible it may be wise to on first request to sent to format needed. To prevent more delays.
5. The 5 days to assess emails has been exceeded. I was advised to phone up to get information after 5 days only to be told that a decision had not been made. It seems my case only moves on each time I ring. Due to a combination of the delays above the 10 working days to assess our insurance cover took nearly a month.
6. It was unclear whether we could proceed with issuing notices to our tenants before our cover was confirmed; we have delayed meaning more arrears have accrued.
