We're really pleased with our new orangery and porch supplied by David Salisbury.
Once you see the timber installed you understand what you've paid for. Absolutely stunning to look at.
We couldn't be happier with the finished product.

A premium product and premium experience. David Salisbury won our business as the initial design was significantly better than other firms. The subsequent management of the project and finished product were both of the highest quality. Delighted with the end result. Although it's a high price tag we believe that value and more is added to the house so a solid investment.

Poor communication, particularly around feedback on process and on issues discussed and progressed.

In a nutshell we are absolutely delighted, thrilled, and ecstatic with our Orangery.

In detail; Dan the designer was personable, likeable and honest. He helped us channel our ideas into a simple but beautiful design that was kept within our budget and never pushed us to add more. He explained the processes we would go through and the timescales we would endure. He instilled a sense of trust in his suggestions which left us confident that whilst we had him on board we would get to the end of the works and be happy even though we were totally out of our comfort zone with this project.

The costs involved in an Orangery project such as ours are large but we felt secure through each step as it was managed seamlessly and with great communications from all the internal departments once it was handed to the David Salisbury personnel. Helen Salisbury oversaw each step of the way personally.

The planning was a straightforward and simple part of the process which we had envisioned being a headache but by having the internal David Salisbury team manage this it turned out to be just another part of the project that materialised smoothly.

The delivery of the structure was on time and the care with which the delivery team carried this out was commendable.

The installation team, Stuart and Harrison, were a pleasure to have on site and worked tirelessly in sometimes terrible weather to keep the project moving. Their attention to detail and care around our property was hugely appreciated and noted daily.

The contract manager, Mark, had his eye on the ball throughout, and was always at the end of the phone or email to answer any queries we had and always kept us updated with timescales and details of when we would have staff on site or deliveries arriving.

There was, of course, one or two odd deliveries that arrived unexpectedly to all concerned, but this was always dealt with quickly and without any bother. Similarly, we had a couple of panes of glass that had been incorrectly manufactured - again this did not cause any great delay to the overall timescale of the project.

We used a builder to carry out the ground works that works almost exclusively on these structures (recommended by Dan the designer), and believe this was a great choice as they also knew what to expect, what was expected of them and communicated thoroughly with the installation team to ensure the continuity of the project also.

To summarise, all the people we worked with along the way were extremely polite and completely professional. The structure is one of the most expensive additions we have done to our home, but it is the WOW factor. It makes us smile when we walk into it and completes our home.

David Salisbury designed and completed a beautiful orangery for us which has extended our kitchen and made a great space.
The orangery has been designed to blend in with our existing character house and it looks like it has always been there!
From start to finish the company has provided excellent service and the fitters were absolutely amazing.

David Salisbury's management of my project was exemplary throughout. Nigel's vision, as designer, was spot on, and has made a huge difference to our home.
Communication was excellent throughout and we were contacted at every stage with detailed explanations of the process and timings.
The quality of the materials is very good too.
Eamonn, our Installation Manager, did an excellent job, overseeing the project and guiding us. Any minor hiccups, delays, arising from the pandemic, were dealt with immediately and sorted quickly.
It was a very smooth process. I can't praise David Salisbury enough and would recommend them with full confidence. We are absolutely delighted with our orangery kitchen which has opened our house into the garden perfectly.

I would highly recommend David Salisbury.

Avoid at all cost. Enthusiastic and promising sales pitch really made us think that David Salisbury would be able to meet our needs. Promises made around deliverable timescales and features within the extension turned out to be totally misleading and a ploy to get us to sign the contract. Have text messages and voicemails telling us if we sign we would have all drawings ready to meet the timescales for our builders and ground workers. Fast forward 3 months to December, we have lost our builder and costs of the project had rocketed. David Salisbury agreed to cancel the order but then decided to keep our £30k deposit.

Have since failed to respond to any legal correspondence and we are now filing court proceedings to claim the money back. As with a number of reviews, get everything in writing. We are fortunate enough to have evidence during the sales cycle, but others haven't been as lucky.

The product itself does look of a very high quality, unfortunately we are unable to comment. At the same time it is a premium price and we expected a white glove service as per other reviews. They really need to work on their communication both internally and externally.

We are absolutely thrilled with our orangery and the service was first rate from start to finish.

Firstly, the orangery is exceptional quality. It is well built, looks fantastic - it's totally in keeping with our house, like it has always been there - and we have had so many comments about it already.

Right from the first call (a call due to the lock down), David White gave brilliant advice. He really listened to us and came up with great plans.

The communication was excellent throughout. Our project manager, Wayne Chapman, was really on it, making sure we understood what was happening, keeping us updated and visiting to make sure everything was going to plan.

When we changed our mind about something fairly significant, Wayne made it really easy for us. He sorted it all out and made it happen.

The building team led by Neil Smith were wonderful - you could see they were experts and really knew what they were doing. They were tidy and kept the site tip top.

Now it is all complete, we know we will practically live in it, it has made a wonderful living space.

We highly recommend DS to anyone who will listen!

We were confident that materials would arrive on time, that work would be done on time, that the work would be done to a high standard. Any snags (eg. adjustment of door hinge) were rapidly fixed. The fitters Fred and Ashley were prompt, skilled and communicative and the surveyor Mike Chinn paid attention to our questions
We have not had the opportunity to use the room yet as our own builders have been delayed, so our final assessment may also be delayed.

We have spent £250K with David Salisbury and regret doing so! I cannot tell how careful you need to be if you considering buying something from them. If I knew what I know now, I would never have gone near them!

The sales are excellent, the showroom in London in the garden centre is great.

The installation was very difficult and totally inflexible and the promised team of there top people did not happen and in fact we had a team of juniors doing most of the job!

It looks fantastic on the surface, but we have had 2 windows that you can actually see daylight through the seals. In fairness they are going to fix it by replacing the windows...

The lantern has so much of a draft that we are putting towels around it to make it bearable. Again they are apparently coming to fix it, but as usual are late in turning up to do the fix and I have very little faith it will be fixed.

Overall it looks amazing but I completely echo the other 1 star review, very poor communication and very difficult to deal with. I also thought we were buying in to a top tier package. The timber product is fabulous, but the service was beyond dreadful. I also could not recommend them to anyone..... beware!

We were very pleased with the experience. The workers were polite, tidy and helpful. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was due to a slight delay in start time and despite asking, were contacted on a work rather than a personal email address.

I worked with David Salisbury as a partner and highly recommend them. I had the chance to meet a few members of the team and they were a pleasure to work with. I also got to visit their manufacturing site and was very impressed about how they run the facilities so neatly.
They take great care of their customers and the quality of their conservatories and orangeries is outstanding.

I am delighted with the Orangery that David Salisbury and Neil Tucker have built for me. From design, through to planning and construction both have been superb and I would highly recommend them. Before commissioning we approached other well known wood frame specialists but found DS to be the most professional and value for money .

We approached 5 companies in total, who all sent lovely brochures but it was only Ian from David Salisbury that wanted to meet to discuss our project. From the initial computer images and drawings right through to completion, it has been an impeccable service by extremely efficient people who are only focused on getting it done meticulously. If you really want a great product and service don't waste time going anywhere else, you will just end up with more paper recycling, phone calls and emails that don't ever move you from a concept.

Six years since replacing our UPVC conservatory with a David Salisbury build, doing my annual gutter clean/check and it still looks as it was when first received. The adage 'you get what you pay for' is certainly true with this addition to our home and we anticipate that the buzz we get from relaxing, looking out to our garden, will be there for many years to come. Excellent service from David Salisbury. Rudy worked with us to finalise a beautiful Orangery design based on our original brief and budget. Installation was not only on time but there was flexibility to change to accommodate our builders’ schedule. The installation team were highly efficient and genuinely proud of the quality of the installation. The regional manager had regular site visits over the project to ensure everything ran smoothly. The whole team were a pleasure to work with and have on Site at our property. The finished product is gorgeous and of the highest quality. Highly recommend David Salisbury for an Orangery.
