If you’re a restaurant owner pick a different service provider

Ordered twice from them and never again. Most recently on Saturday 29th November. Numerous calls from a rude driver saying he was at our fromt door. (He wasn’t) Rang him back several times to give him directions which he didn’t listen to and hung up mid sentence a few times. Not able to follow maps. 40 minutes after first call he finally found house. Food was sushi with some hot items which were now inedible and immediately binned.
Requested refund for hot items which i just see now was denied.
Laughable that they think this business model is acceptable in Ireland when there are plenty of alternatives. Would advise any restaurant that uses Deliveroo to seriously reconsider.

BEWARE: Scammers

I wanted an order from Rotana city restaurant for a special occasion. I was informed that the only delivery option is deliveroo, which I installed against my better judgement.
There was no voucher option at checkout even though I've never had an app. Like most apps, the connection was faulty so I could not communicate with the driver, who never bothered to ring my intercom when app communication failed. The person left my order on the street entrance and I got a text saying that after 25 minutes. I'm sure that the order was gone as soon as it was left there in full view of passersby. No meal and out of pocket due to an ol' unreliable app. Not the first time.but n future I will not order from another app.

I’m only giving Deliveroo a rating of…

I’m only giving Deliveroo a rating of one as I couldn’t do any less. I recently got into a dispute with Deliveroo because I made an order through their platform which never arrived. I was in touch with multiple customer services reps in their chat support but they kept telling me they confirmed with the restaurant that they delivered my order and can’t provide me with a refund. I don’t even care about the €18 at this point, it’s just the principle of being ripped off by paying for something that I haven’t received.

Never again.

I used Deliveroo once, and never, ever again.

They delivered the wrong order, that’s fine.

They were an absolute joke to contact. I told them immediately the wrong order was sent to me, I was told I would have to wait 48 hours for them to investigate.

I rang KFC who immediately realised their mistake and said there would be no issue with a refund.

So… I was stuck with food I did not want or could not eat. When Deliveroo finally did get back to me, they spent days arguing with me and said they would give me a partial refund…. They were unfortunately very uncooperative and rude.

They actually ended up only giving me a partial refund on the partial refund.

I feel so ripped off. I have gone in to my bank to reverse charge but that could take months.

They were so unprofessional and cheeky! I can’t believe how badly I was treated by this company.

Really disappointed with Deliveroo

Really disappointed with Deliveroo. We ordered food and when it arrived the delivery bag was already opened even though you could clearly see it had been stapled shut originally. We double-checked with the restaurant and they confirmed that they always seal their bags before handing them to the driver. This means it was opened after pickup which made us feel unsafe eating the food. We reached out to Deliveroo for help but they refused to offer a refund or any real solution. Totally unacceptable we expected at least basic food safety and accountability. Will not be ordering again.

Worst experience ever. Ordered McDonalds 13th Sept for my…

Ordered McDonalds 13th Sept for my son’s birthday. Food arrived cold, more importantly the milkshakes I orders for the kids didn’t arrive. Deliveroo driver told me he dropped them at the previous delivery in error. Kids were upset but accidents happen so I accepted it.
He said I would not be charged for the milkshakes yet here I am on 2nd Nov without the refund.
I have been constantly emailing them , they won’t refund unless I show the receipt from the actual delivery( went in the bin as I assumed the app receipt was the main receipt). Had I known to keep the receipt on the actual delivery I would have done that but the Deliveroo driver didn’t advise me I needed to do that. The whole thing is a sham. Would even go as far as to say they have defrauded me as I paid for a product but didn’t receive it.
They keep saying it’s policy to show the receipt on the delivery yet I can’t see any where on their website. I have asked them to direct me to where on the website it is, they keep skirting around the issue just saying it’s policy. I’ve asked them on every occasion if they spoke to the delivery driver but they won’t answer my Q.
I thought Eirs service was bad but this tops it. If they had refunded me in the beginning I would still use Deliveroo but clearly customer service isn’t their thing.

Do not give this company any card details. I have found a number of unknown transactions relating to services that I have not signed up for. Support is useless and no interest in resolving.

Absolute Disaster-Read Review if you need a laugh

Today I ordered a delivery from M&S and it was not an experience I ever want to repeat. Firstly it took 2 hours to get from a store that is a 10 Minute drive away from my workplace. 2 Hours later I received an email from Deliveroo saying that their was an issue with my order so the Delivery driver had to go back to the store to get a new one. Still not sign of it until I got an email showing me a picture of where they had left my M&S food order because I wasnt answering the Door or my Calls (Totally untrue) . They delivered my Food Shopping to a ditch on the side of the road !!!! I Kid you not and what I am trying to get past is how the Delivery driver decided this was a real address. I have been burnt twice now by deliveroo, I wont be burnt a 3rd time. Disaster

awful experience, they were 90mins late with our meal, it was cold and horrible, we cant afford many take aways so it was a treat but ruined by deliveroo, the meal cost £80 when we complained they gave £13, disgusting service

The worst customer support

An order was advertised as 20-30 mins delivery, arrives an hour and ten minutes later. Customer Support advised he would grant me credit, but the only credit I received was from the standard deliveroo plus "on time" guarantee. A "Senior Agent" was barely more helpful, just constant canned "I'm sorry, your feedback will be taken on board" and another small amount of credit. No explanations on the late order, no explanation on being mislead in the credit, I asked the SA to stop apologising and get me answers or a solution, so she kept apologising and telling me my feedback was important before deciding we were going in circles and ending the chat.

No help! Very disappointing customer service! No point in website 😕

I ordered of deliveroo and I just got false advertising off the menu on deliveroo, and I wouldn't have ordered it if the description didn't say it was a certain Item but it turned out to be a completely different item, deliveroo wouldn't help me and there's no way to contact the restaurant so I've lost out and it's very disappointing! Like the whole point of this website is to deal with restaurants for you but instead I just got told to do it myself and I have no idea how to do that! I don't understand the point of this website when customer service doesn't even help at all! I should have got a refund straight away but instead I got them telling me to do it myself! Dissatisfied is an understatement! 🙄😒

Just an appalling company

Just an appalling company. O e of their drivers stole my order yesterday and theyre refusing to do anything about it or refund me. This isnt the first issue ive had with this lot, just a dreadful scummy company. Where the competition authority is in all this is beyond me. Avoid avoid avoid

Please do not order from this company. The customer service is appalling.. I ordered and paid for the delivery. I gave the correct address but my order did not arrive. Got no satisfaction very abrupt email. Saying no refund. Horrible company.

If I could give negative star rating

If I could give negative star rating, I would. Got an order which spoilt the bag because of spillage. The delivery driver apologised and asked me to write to Deliveroo and they will send another one. Before he could turn around the bag fell apart spilling all the boxes on the driveway. The deliveroo agent says she can’t do anything because I dint exactly capture which article was damaged. I have 4 pictures of the bag and spilt contents visible. What was I supposed to do, click the picture of the empty package?

I am writing regarding my recent order…

I am writing regarding my recent order placed through Deliveroo. The rider called me after picking up the order, but unfortunately, they never arrived at my location. I waited, but the delivery was not completed, and I did not receive my order.

When I contacted Deliveroo support, I was informed that I am not eligible for a refund. However, this is concerning since I did not receive the items I paid for. As a customer, I believe it is unfair to be charged for an order that was never delivered.
